Chapter 3: New Friend?
Mei stood up from her desk, stretching out her stiff limbs. She knew that it would be awhile before Ai would call her so she was just waiting around.
"Mei-senpai!"
Mei turned around to see a brown haired female with a blue ribbon tied to the cape* of her uniform, indicating that she was a first year.
"You need help studying for you're English test that's next week?" Mei asked, already knowing what the girl wanted to ask her.
"Yup, you guessed right! You're so smart Mei-senpai!" The girl praised with a wide smile.
"Alright, I'm not busy at the moment. We can go to the library." Mei said with a fake smile.
"Thank you Mei-senpai!" The girl said, taking hold of Mei's arm and dragged the older female out of the classroom with her.
"She thinks I'm "smart," that's cute, but Ai-chan is cuter." Mei thought.
Mei found it funny that she ended up getting known as one of the smartest people in school. The truth behind it was because of Mei's ability, so she always knows all the answers to all the tests and assignments before anyone else. Mei has always cheated on everything. In fact, English is her worst subject. And yet here she is, tutoring people that are probably a lot better than she is at English.
"Well at least I'm good enough to fake being a genius at English." Mei thought.
As Mei and the girl were walking down the quiet sidewalk, making their way to the library, a boy wearing the boy's uniform for Ai's school passed by Mei. Mei stopped walking a turned her head in the direction the boy was walking in.
"That was him..." Mei thought.
"Is there something wrong Mei-senpai?" The girl who was walking with Mei asked.
"No, I just thought I saw something, that's all." Mei said before turning her head back around and continued to walk with the girl.
"That was definitely him...Takeshi-kun."

Seiki and Satoko still haven't showed up yet...
I was sitting on the school roof with a neatly wrapped bento sitting on my lap. Seiki, Satoko, and I were supposed to have lunch together on the roof. But Seiki had to do something before coming here and Satoko was called by someone to assist with something since she's our class representative.
While I was patiently waiting for my friends to show up the door to the roof opened, revealing a familiar white haired male.
He walked around silently, not doing anything in particular. I debated whether or not I should call out his name.
I looked over at Hoshiko, who was sitting on the edge of the roof with her legs crossed, letting her shoulder length black hair flow in the breeze. Her eyes were closed but she was fully aware of the situation. Hoshiko is always cautious of things she deems dangerous. Thanks to her and her eyes, I've managed to stay out of trouble...Well, I’ve managed to stay out of serious trouble anyways...
Hoshiko feels my eyes on her, causing her to turn her head around and look at my pink eyes with one of her bold magenta eyes. She doesn't say a word, giving me a nod of approval before turning her head back to the scenery beyond the roof.
I turned back to the male who was still wandering around aimlessly. I could feel my heart pounding in nervousness, I was determined to speak up.
"U-Um...Muto-kun..." I mumbled shyly.
Normally my timid voice wouldn't be heard, but since the roof only consisted of three people (though I was the only one who could see or hear Hoshiko) my words caught his attention.
"Oh, Amachi-san..." He said, poker faced.
We both awkwardly stared at each other for awhile. I guess neither of us are very talkative. His name is Takeshi Muto, he sits next to me in class. He's not shy like me but he only really talks when he has to.
"U-Um... What a-are y-you doing h-here...?" I asked nervously, trying to break the awkward atmosphere.
"I just wanted to I guess..." Takeshi said.
That went nowhere…
"Um...H-How about talking w-with me f-for a bit... I-I don't t-talk much b-but..." I nervously mumbled, unconsciously playing with the cloth of my wrapped up bento. "...Y-You j-just seem a bit...u-um...lonely..."
Takeshi suddenly walked over to me and got close, not saying a word. I jumped back a bit out of shock.
“Eep...!” I squeaked in surprise.
"You're really observative aren't you?" Takeshi asked.
"H-Huh...?" I asked confused.
"You're right. I am a bit lonely." Takeshi said.
I thought so. I've never seen him hang out with anyone.
"W-Would you u-um like t-to hang out with m-me...? E-Even if it's j-just for a little w-while...?" I asked.
"Sure..." Takeshi said, sitting next to me. "I'd would actually like to see some of your drawings if you don't mind. I've noticed that you're always drawing in class."
I've been busted...
"O-Oh...! U-Um...I-I guess so..." I said, taking out my sketchbook and handed it to him.
Takeshi opened my sketchbook, carefully studying each page. His piercing indigo eyes didn't once leave my sketchbook as he gently turned each page.
This made me a bit nervous. I rarely show anyone the drawings in my sketchbook.
"You don't have to be so nervous. I think your drawings are great." Takeshi said, handing my sketchbook back to me. "Are you planning on becoming a professional artist in the future?"
"A-Ah...! N-No...! I-I mean... I-It's just a hobby..." I said shyly.
"Are you sure? You seem to be really passionate about art..." Takeshi said.
He's not wrong. But even if I really wanted to, I could never pursue art as a career... I've already accepted that as reality...
"I-It's j-just a hobby..." I mumbled once more.
"If you say so..." Takeshi said, giving up. "But I still think their great."
"T-Thanks..." I said shyly, a small smile making it’s way on my face.
There was a warm feeling in my chest. I personally don't think I'm good at making friends myself. Satoko is just really nice, and Seiki had protected me from a bully when we first met. Not to mention that I honestly have no idea why Hiroshi and Haru - especially Haru - talk to me.
And yet, here I am with Takeshi, someone who isn't very social, talking and enjoying each other's company.
...Perhaps we could become friends?

"Are you sure this is what you want?" An apple green haired girl asked. "Most people take more time to think about this."
The greenette sat on a desk, chin in her palm. Her lime green eyes boredly staring at the girl in front of her.
"I'm sure about this." The other girl said sincerely.
"This isn't something that can be taken back easily, and it's dangerous." The green haired girl explained. "You have to be completely sure that this is what you want before doing this."
"Trust me, this what I want. This is the only way I can think of getting this." The other girl claimed, standing her ground.
She was stubborn, really stubborn. The green haired girl had to admit that she liked that about her. Perhaps they really were made for each other.
Giving in, the green haired girl smiled as she extended her hand out to the other girl.
"All right then..." The green haired girl said, standing up and extending her hand. "....Let's form the contract."
To be continued.
