"Light, you were Kira. I know you aren't now, but you were. We can't catch the original Kira because you aren't him anymore, which does disappoint me. But we must find and capture the third Kira before it's too late to do so." L stated one night while we were alone at the computers. We are still handcuffed together so I can't just storm out of the room at his words. I have to reply.

"I'm not Kira, L and I wish you wouldn't still see me as him." But sorry for not currently being Kira. Since your so disappointed that I'm not. I thought after my response.

"Oh well, it's not like you can magically be Kira again. And I'm not too disappointed. I have you as my friend at least. We should head up to bed. I don't want my deductive skills decreasing." L stated as he got up.

"Yeah, sure. Let's head up." I stated.

After we got up to the bedroom, I pulled the covers over my head and turned my back to L who was watching me as he got into bed. "Hey Light?"

"Hm?"

"Why do you get so mad everytime I bring up the old you?" L said this straight forward as if he was truly curious and didn't already deduce the answer.

"You know why. I hate Kira. And if Kira was me, then that would mean I hate myself. And hating yourself isn't something you really want to think about." Not to mention the old me would have wanted to kill you and if I did, that would break my heart. I thought after my reply.

"Okay. Goodnight Light-kun. See you tomorrow."

"Goodnight Ryuzaki. See yah." As I said this, I drifted to sleep.

"Light. Light. Light! Hey, look at me Light! You've been in control of our body for too long! I want it back! Hurry up and carry out my plan so I can kill that bastard Ryuuga!" The voice is mine, but it isn't. This place is complete darkness. Then how am I standing in it? Is this the ground? Is there a ground? Am I just floating? "This is our mindscape Light. You should be able to deduce that easily. I must have overestimated my past self's intelligence." I look and see myself. But he has red eyes and hair. And this evil looking smile. "Give me control Light. Give me control or I'll have to take it from you." I open my mouth to speak, but nothing comes out.

I try again and this time a small "No" escaped my lips.

"Light, this is my body and you are just the temporary host. Once I get back our missing piece, I will take control and you will be no more. Your defiance will not last. You will lose Light. Because I am Kira. I am a god. And this is MY body. This is also my mind, so let's see what the rest of the night holds for you."

As he states this, I begin to drop. I continue dropping until I am in a room with L. No one else is around and he's looking at me with passion I haven't seen in him since our match at the school. "Kira, I knew you'd come back. I knew you would. I've been waiting so long. Light was so boring, but you. You are something else. I love you Kira. I'm glad you finally took back command of your body. Would you like to end my life now or later?"  What is he talking about? He's been waiting? Waiting for....Kira? He has mentioned it.  I didn't think he really meant it. Wait, he's giving up his life to Kira!? No!! I won't let you! Why can't I move my body?!

"Right now if you please. Just lay on the bed, I'll use the death note." No! Don't! I don't want to kill him! I love him!

"No Kira. Do it with your hands. Make me your special kill." No! Don't say that L! Don't say that!!

"I'll use this dagger then. Now rip open your shirt so I can keep you corpse clean of cloth inside." No!

"Okay Kira. I love you." NO!

As my hands bring the dagger down into his pale skin, I scream. As he bleeds out, I finally regain control of my body. "No. Ryuzaki! No! You can't! I won't let you! No! No! No! NO!"

L POV

"No. Ryuzaki. No. You can't. I won't let you. no. No. No. No!" Is Light talking in his sleep? Maybe I should wake him up. Did he yell my name? What could he possibly dreamt of?

"Light? Light. C'mon. Wake up. Your screaming a lot so wake up." Finally, he started moving and opens his eyes with a snap.

"R-ryuz-zaki?" Is he crying? "Th-thank kami that was a d-dream." He is crying. Suddenly he starts hugging me and crying even harder. Well this is uncomfortable.

"Light. It's okay now. Tell me what your dream was about. Or, more accurately, your nightmare." I need to know what made him like this. What could possibly make Light Yagami cry so much?

"I've been having this nightmare, almost the same one, everynight...... They usually never get so far though. But tonight, it got all the way through..." He was still crying but was talking as best he could. What could have scared him so much?

"What is this nightmare?" Now I'm extremely curious.

"....its me...killing you....." What?! He's having nightmares about killing me? "It starts out  with me in some weird place completely made of darkness, talking to, i think, Kira..... Once I'm able to deny him, I fall through the darkness and end up back in this room. But when I'm back, I have no control over my body at all. You and the person controlling my body have a conversation. By the end of the conversation, you are laying on the bed with your shirt off waiting for me to stab you..... Finally, I do, and right after, I regain control of my body. But at this point I am completely helpless. And just watch you die. After the last of your breathes left you body this time, I looked around said room and I see, on the nightstand, a notebook with the words L Lawliet, 9:30 pm, death by stabbing, talks to Kira with love in his eyes and follows instructions of Kira, laying on the bed behind and taking off shirt when asked. And after I saw them, you woke me up. I-i don't want to see that again. Ryuzaki, I never want to see you die."

I don't know what to say. Does this mean Kira is still within Light? Does he want to take back control and kill me? Does he take pleasure in torturing his kinder self? As I speculate, Light just keeps hugging me and crying into my shirt. Why is he crying so much for me? Would he cry this much if it were Misa? Or Matsuda? I doubt it. So why is he crying so much just over his own imagination? "Light. Why does seeing me die make you cry so much?"

He looks like a deer caught in headlights. "Uh, well that's. Um, it's kinda maybe because I. Because I love you L." Well I wasn't expecting that.

"What do you mean? Why do you say you love me? Aren't you dating Ms. Amane?" This is very confusing. And if Misa finds out, she'll definitely murder me with her own two hands.

"Well, uh, you see, I don't like girls in that way at all. I never have. I don't know why I started dating Misa. Maybe as a cover up for my feelings for you. Or maybe because Kira wanted her under his thumb. I don't know. But I don't love her. I've loved you from the day we met. I'm surprised you didn't figure that much out, Ryuzaki. I mean, just try spelling my name backwards."

I did as Light said and nearly slapped my self for overlooking such a thing.

Uh, this is a very peculiar situation, now isn't it. I don't think I'd mind dating Light, but if he still has Kira in there, it'd be a danger to my safety. Now how do I deal with this? I then hugged light back and started patting his back, hoping to calm him down a bit.

He seemed to like it and relaxed into my hug. Hmm, maybe this won't be as  hard as I thought. "If you want, Light, I wouldn't mind doing some things with you. But you must tell me if you feel Kira trying to take over again."

With that, light nodded his head and wiped away his tears, smiling at me a bit. That innocent look does suit him. He is cute like this.

Suddenly, Light holds L again, this time, looking at his face with slightly pleading eyes.
