Jane

Tomorrow was Daisy's fourth birthday, but today we were having dinner with my parents at their house.

As we got there, I was surprised to see all my siblings had been visiting. We hugged and greeted each other as we took a seat at the dining table.

My mom had a big smile on her face as we all sat down. My dad smiled at her as she cleared her throat. "So there's a few reasons why today is so special." She smiled. "Phoebe go ahead."

Phoebe stood and took a deep breath. "Well, for those who don't know, I'm dating a woman." My siblings dropped their forks, but let her continue. "I have identified as bisexual because although I am in love with a woman, I still enjoy that di-"

"Phoebe!" My mom stopped her. She laughed sitting down. Everyone smiled at Phoebe, but she ignored us, bored talking about her sexuality. "Next big order of business, Daisy."

"That's me!" She smiled big making everyone chuckle.

"You turn four tomorrow sweetheart, and we're all here to celebrate." My mom said happily to her. I kissed her forehead. "I also want to talk about how grateful we are that Harry is okay." Harry thanked her. I kissed his cheek and he thanked everyone for caring so much. He was still very shy with the family.

"Last order of business." My mom looked down at my dad. "Honey?"

"Kids, your mom and I are renewing our vows this Valentine's day." Everyone smiled and cheered, but me. I sat there looking at the ring on my finger and felt a lump in my throat. I looked up and Phoebe gave me a look. I forced a smile and hugged my parents. After we all calmed down and my dad went to check the grill, I excused myself.

I felt really stupid as I walked into the garage sitting on the floor against the empty wall. I took off my wedding ring and sighed.

Two cousins, Harry's mom, Olivia, and now my own mother would have a wedding before me.

I shook my head feeling stupid for caring so much. But Harry promised me a million times a wedding of my dreams. Everything got in the way of planning and so after a while, it seemed to leave me questioning why even try? I heard the garage door open and Harry walked in. "You alright?" He scratched his head.

"No." I shook my head. "We're never going to have a big wedding." He walked over and sat in front of me. He seemed confused almost as to why I was holding my ring, so I put it back on.

"Of course we are, I told you after Olivia and Louis' wedding we would have one." He said cheerfully.

"Harry, you said the same thing after your mom's wedding and then after my cousin's wedding. After 'Liv's wedding we have my parents." I shook my head. "I'm sick of getting excited just to be let down."

He sat closer in front of me and held my hands. "Baby, I swear on everything I have, that the first of January we will start planning our wedding. It's going to be better and more beautiful than any other wedding. Baby, I'm talking doves, fucking fireworks, and Ed Sheeran singing our song." I cracked a smile. "Oh, there's my girl, such a beautiful smile." I hugged him. "Look at your ring finger." I looked and the curved 'H' was still beautifully inked on my skin. "I look at mine every day and feel blessed to have you as my wife."

"Me too." I hugged him closer. We sat there for a minute until I finally sighed. "I shouldn't be worried about this right now. My baby turns four tomorrow." He nodded as his eyes began to water and he held me tighter.

"Let's go back to dinner before I cry." I kissed his cheek.

Harry and I tiptoed into Daisy's room and Mickey looked at us. "Shhh," Harry told the dog, who just laid back down in his bed.

We both sat on her bed and sang quietly. "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you." She opened her eyes and smiled big as we held a cupcake with a candle. "Happy birthday dear Daisy, happy birthday to you!" She clapped her hands and pushed her curls out of her face.

"Did you make a wish?" I asked after she blew out the candles.

"Yes!" She sat up and made a face. "I have to go to the bathroom!" She stood and ran to the hallway.

I sat there next to Harry and sighed. "Remember her first birthday?" He nodded. "Her tutu? When she said, mama?" I began crying. "Or when Louis gave her bunny?" Harry held me close as I cried in his chest "She's my baby."

"I know love, but hey she has to grow up." I nodded and looked at her as she came back in. "Alright toots, after school we're going to come back here and get dressed up and take you to your surprise." She clapped giving us a hug.

"Okay, I'll get dressed for school." She said as we got up.

"Well let me help you?" I said picking up the clothes that I had already laid out for her.

She shook her head breaking my heart. "No thank you, I do it by myself because I'm a big girl." My lip trembled so Harry had to drag me out of the room.

I walked to the kitchen and put my head on his chest. "Aww, baby it's okay." I sniffled as he rubbed his hands on my back.

"I want another baby," I said to him. He stopped and sighed.

"Jane you say the same thing every year on her birthday." He pulled away. "You cry and then say you want a baby for a week and then things go back to normal." I shook my head.

"No I'm serious, I want another baby." I hugged him kissing his neck. He just laughed. So I might do this every year, but can you blame me? Babies are cute as fuck. "Harry, I want another baby. You are going to give me a child so I can feel needed." He raised an eyebrow and I heard myself. "Okay fine." I walked out of the kitchen. "Party pooper."

"Drama queen." I laughed walking back to my room to get dressed.

We took Daisy to school together and she held both our hands as we dropped her off. "Bye mom, bye dad." She kissed our cheeks and ran to her friends. We both looked at each other and I shook my head crying again.

"Baby relax, It's just an 'I'm a big girl' thing. She'll call you mommy when she sees you again." I shook my head. "Let me walk you to the office." He walked beside me.

"How's the shoulder?" I asked after I calmed down. Harry was only going to work to do paperwork and inventory. He mostly just went to watch his employees and talk to customers. He hated being at home alone injured.

"It's still stiff, it's my ribs that still fucking hurt." He touched them carefully. "Louis said that until I can bend down without making 'unsexy noises' he won't let me work. Has me doing office bullshit." He pouted.

We made it to the school entrance and he smiled at me. "You'll be fine, text me if you get too bored. But not while you're driving." He nodded.

"Is it inappropriate to kiss you here?" I nodded so he picked up my hand and kissed it gently. "I'll pick you up after school."

"3:15." I reminded him as he waved.

Daisy walked out of the room in her purple tutu I made her "Look, mommy, I'm a princess." She showed me her tiara Harry got her.

We were going to take her to this pizza place she loves so much. We even invited some of her friends from school. Luckily her cousins would be there as well. When we got to the restaurant, Daisy was so happy to see that everyone was there. I took pictures and we ate pizza.

"Oh look your work husband is here?" I raised an eyebrow and looked to see Ashton walk in with his son. I waved and he waved back as he made his way through the line.

"Work husband? Jesus Harry, you are so jealous you're literally turning green." He fake laughed.

"It's okay I have a work husband too, Louis." I cracked a smile and kissed his cheek.

"I'm going to have to show up in the middle of the day now, so I can keep an eye on him." Harry laughed as Ashton came over and sat down. "Hey welcome, are you guys hungry?"

Harry

So yeah I was jealous. This guy was so clearly into Jane, but she didn't see it. Jane never noticed when guys flirted with her. It happened way more than she knows. Like shes hot, so I get it, but still, she's mine.

Daisy came over and asked if she could play with her friends. I loved this place because all the kids had wrist bands and could roam around in the little kid's area with a giant playland without a worry. I watched as she ran to play.

Jane's brother and his wife came back after taking picture's in the photo booth and smiled at me. "What's wrong Harry?" Holden asked. I stood along the fence looking at Daisy.

"Oh nothing, usually I play with her, but I can't exactly bend down or pick her up." I said sadly looking back at Jane who was sitting with Ashton, Phoebe, and Lisa "Jane has a new friend I don't like."

"The guy with the glasses?" I nodded. "Ehh she's probably doing what Maria does when I don't give her enough attention."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Well Maria will flirt on purpose to get me upset so I get mad. She thinks I'm sexy when I'm mad." I thought about it. I hadn't been paying much attention to Jane since the accident. "If not she just doesn't notice she's flirting or being flirted with." It was definitely something to think about when we got home.

After the party, we took Daisy home and gave her a bath. She was asleep by nine. Jane took all of her presents, placing them on the kitchen table since she hadn't opened all of them. She was being quiet. I thought a lot about what Holden had said so I walked behind Jane and wrapped my arms around her. "Hi, baby." I kissed her neck.

"Stop I need to make lunch for tomorrow." She ignored me going to the refrigerator.

I sighed as she pulled out what she was going to make. "Do you need help?" She shook her head. I decided to go lay down in the bed and wait for her. I took off my shirt and looked at my torso. I looked better in a way. The bruises were not as dark, but still there. My shoulder and elbow looked good too. The cut on my side was still pretty bad but was slowly healing. Luckily it was well taken care of since Jane never let me go too long without cleaning it for me.

"Are you hurting again?" I looked over at Jane standing by the bedroom door.

"No, just looking." I sat down and sighed. "Can I tell you a secret?" She nodded walking over to sit beside me on the bed. "It's kind of a big secret." She leaned in. "I love you," I whispered in her ear. She rolled her eyes and laughed.

"Harry, you are so weird." She playfully pushed me and I hissed. "Oh, no baby I'm so sorry!" She covered her face. I began laughing and she crossed her arms. "You're a dick, I thought I hurt you!" She stood, but I pulled her towards me. She had tears in her eyes.

"Oh baby love, I was just kidding." She shook her head and hugged me. "Oh I'm sorry please don't cry." I rubbed her back.

"It wasn't funny." She mumbled into my shoulder. She talked, but I couldn't understand her so I just rubbed her back as she kissed my shoulder over and over. "Are you too weak to make love to me?" She asked. I sighed not knowing if I could hold myself up or have her on me. I couldn't lay on my side so this was going to be tricky.

"We'd have to stand against a wall, and it is you doing all the work," I said honestly. "Can you wait for me to heal better? " She nodded. "Sorry, you know if I could I'd make love to you every day."

She shook her head quickly. "No no it's okay, I just thought if you felt like it, I would be willing to try. I don't want to hurt you or anything." She gently ran her hands over my arms. "So I have a question, What do you think about August for our wedding?" I nodded. "Yeah?"

"Yeah, August gives us a good amount of time to plan." She smiled big. "I want to wear a white suit." She looked conflicted but shrugged. "Will you be wearing white?" I joked. Her smile dropped and she looked down.

"My cousins are going to talk trash. 'Oh Janey, you have a four-year-old daughter, why are you wearing white?' Ugh!" She said in their Chicago accents.

"Oh fuck them, you are going to look like a fucking princess in your dress. And you're going to walk down the aisle and I'm going to cry tears of joy." She got very giddy. She stood and practiced walking waving at me like she was starting in a Disneyland parade. "Spin." She spun around and smiled.

"Dance with me?" She put her hand out. I stood up and pulled her into me. "Sing me a song?" She put her arms around my neck.

"What song?" I said putting my forehead against hers. She shrugged looking up at me. "You're so short." She squinted her eyes at me ignoring my statement.

"What song reminds you of me?" I smiled and pulled her close. I kissed her gently before singing.

"She's a very kinky girl, the kind you don't bring home to mother-"

"Harry!" She laughed against my chest. "No!"

"Harry yes!" I kept singing. "She's a super freak, super freak, she's super freaky ow!"

"Seriously, sing me something nice." I kissed her nose and hummed. There was a song I heard on the radio that I love, that reminded me of her.

"If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass
Can't think of anything I need." She looked at me carefully. "No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound Nothing to eat, no books to read. Making love with you Has left me peaceful warm and tired, What more could I ask
There's nothing left to be desired
Peace came upon me and it leaves me weak So sleep, silent angel, go to sleep" I kissed her temple. "Sometimes all I need is the air that I breathe And to love you, All I need is the air that I breathe, Yes to love you All I need is the air that I breathe."

"Harry, I-" she just looked into my eyes and for a moment I felt something in me shift, a feeling of love washed over me and my eyes began to water. "Why are you crying?"

I sniffled. "I don't know." I wiped my eyes. "I think I love you?" She laughed.

"Well I know you do, was this too much love in one night?" I nodded. "Let's go to bed baby." I agreed, giving her a kiss.

Olivia's sister was named Odette, she was very pretty, but just a major bitch. She was the type of person every girl hated, yet wanted them to like her in high school.

Today we were doing our final fitting for the wedding in December and she had finally decided to show up. "The dress is nice but basic." She said as the woman tailored her dress. Olivia rolled her eyes and looked at me.

"Well it's the one we decided on if you were here two months ago-" Olivia began.

"I told you I was busy." She huffed moving around. The woman fixing her dress rolled her eyes.

"Busy, yet you wanted to be my maid of honor?" Olivia said annoyed, Odette groaned.

"Oh please I would have made time, I'm your sister! But instead, you gave the job to her!" All the other girls walked away, but I was stuck listening to them argue as the lady pinned the bottom of the dress I was wearing. I finally found my shoes and the dress was too long.

After their spat, I took off the dress and walked out to see Daisy and Harry waiting for me. "Hi, toots." She ran up to me and smiled. I told Harry to bring her so she can try on her flower girl dress. Harry was the only guy in the dress shop so I told him to take a seat. He opened a magazine and waited as I put on Daisy's dress.

Daisy stood on the little step while the woman pinned the bottom. I stood next to Olivia as her sister came out of the dressing room. "Well I'm done here, I'll see- holy fuck." She stopped and I looked at her. I turned to see what she was looking at and I crossed my arms. "Look at the man candy." She whispered to us. "Tattoos are so hot."

Harry sat with a magazine in his hands. His button-up shirt was slightly open, sleeves rolled up to expose his tattoos, and his tongue licking his bottom lip. "Uh, Odette?" Olivia began, but I told her to be cool.

"Yeah, he's hot," I told her and she nodded. "Wonder who he's here with?" Olivia snickered. "Guy like that's probably just here to pick up a suit."

"You think he's single?" The oblivious sister asked. "Oh, he's so fine. Guys like that are so sexy. I think I'll go talk to him."

"Mommy I'm all done?" Daisy told me. Odette looked down at Daisy and smiled.

"You have a daughter?" She said surprised.

"Yeah, I do." I smiled down at my baby "baby go with daddy." I smiled. She ran over to Harry and Odette nearly choked on her own saliva. "Oh that's right, that's my husband." I laughed sarcastically. I walked over and Harry was looking at Daisy. "Oh hi daddy, I never gave you a kiss," I said to him. He smirked bending down to give me a kiss, but being a jealous bitch I held his face and really kissed him for a few seconds before letting him go. It was passionate and the kind of kiss I give Harry during sex or when we're alone. I pulled away and he looked down at my eyes stunned.

"Alright then, that was nice." He licked his lips. "Umm, I lost my train of thought." He chuckled. "You never kiss daddy like that in public." He whispered to me. "Kisses like that get me going."

"Sorry, liv's sister was checking you out. She needs to know you're mine." He looked up as she walked over.

"Hi, nice to meet you?" She touched his shoulder. "I'm Odette, Olivia's sister." Harry smiled politely.

"Nice to meet you." He put his arm around my shoulder. He looked down at me and smiled. "I'm Harry, Jane's husband, and the best man."

She looked between us and nodded. "Well, I'll be outside Olivia when you're ready." She walked out and Olivia walked over.

"It's only for another two weeks." She repeated. After we paid we walked out and said bye to the sisters.

"I'll see you guys at the rehearsal dinner." I waved to them. Harry put Daisy in the car and Odette looked over at us while smoking a cigarette. I looked at Harry as he closed the door.

"What?"

I smiled. "Nothing my love, can I have another kiss?" He smirked as he bent down giving me a kiss. He pulled away for a second and I smirked. "Grab the booty baby, give it a nice spank." He chuckled.

"You love proving a point don't you?" I nodded. He reached down and grabbed my ass and gave me one last kiss before opening my door for me. He spanked my butt and I laughed.

"Eww, mommy and daddy were kissing." Daisy giggled.

"Silly girl, that's how we show how much we love each other." She shook her head.

"So Daisy what's tomorrow?" Harry asked as he pulled out of the spot.

"Thanksgiving!" She clapped her hands. She was quiet for a while as we drove home and then suddenly she whispers for me to look at her. "I want to talk to nana."

"You want to talk to nana? Let me see?" I looked at the time and noticed it was already midnight in London. "Sweetie nana's probably already asleep. We'll call her tomorrow morning okay?" She nodded.

"Daddy?" She says after a while. "Do you miss your mommy?" She asked him. Harry sighed and held my hand.

"Yeah baby, I miss my mommy." He said sadly.

Daisy looked conflicted but asked again. "Do you miss your sister?" He looked out into the road ahead of him.

"Yeah, I miss my sister too." He smiled. "You know she looked just like you when she was younger, except she didn't have curly hair." Daisy giggled.

"She was beautiful, was she a princess?" She smiled big.

Harry rubbed his eyes and cleared his throat. "Yeah, baby, she was."

She looked down then looked at me. "How did she past away?" Harry took a deep breath and scratched the back of his head.

"Uh, something bad happened to her and she became very sad. One day she was really sad that she hurt herself because she thought that it was the only way to stop feeling sad. And so she passed away." Harry said slowly.

"But why?" I held his hand as he drove.

"Because sometimes people don't get help baby. When you feel sad you have to get help, and she didn't." She nodded. "I should have-"

"Harry." I stopped him. "Stop." He nodded. "Daisy when people feel sad it helps to talk, okay?"

She nodded and smiled at Harry through the mirror in the car. He smiled back, but I knew he had dreaded this conversation.
