Jane

I was sitting in my classroom during lunch listening to music and eating while grading math homework. My classroom door opened and in walked Amy Moore, one of the other teachers who Ashton harassed. "Jane?"

I lowered the music and waved to her. "Amy, what's up?" She came over and set a cupcake on my desk.

"Happy birthday." I smiled.

"Aww, thank you I'm glad someone remembered." This morning Harry didn't even acknowledge that it was my birthday and our seven-year anniversary. He dressed the kids and gave me a kiss as if it was any other day.

"Well, it was posted in the teacher's lounge. How come you don't socialize with all the other teachers." She asked.

"I feel like they don't like me since the whole Ashton thing, everyone thinks I got him fired for no reason. He almost ruined my marriage. " She shook her head. "My husband had him arrested."

She smiled. "How?" I explained everything and she seemed relieved.

"I just feel bad for his son." I crossed my arms.

"He did this himself, Jane." I nodded.

After work, I took Daisy to pick up the kids and then over to my parent's house. My mom called me and told me to stop by. I assumed it was a party, but as I walked into a bunch of boxes, I put that thought behind me.

"Oh sweetpea good thing you're here, I have some old boxes from the attic that belong to you." I sighed handing her Violet and then handing off Harrison to my dad. I opened the boxes and looked through them and realized what was inside; journals from when I was a kid until college.

I stopped writing after my dad kicked me out. I threw all my journals in a box and haven't even thought of them since I had Daisy.

As I looked at the boxes I noticed that I also had a lot of pictures from my middle school and high school days. I put them back in the box and told my mom I'd take it with me. All the other boxes had clothes I had outgrown, my old prom dress as well. I took some stuff with me and put them in the car.

"I have to get going mom, I need to make dinner." She looked at all the kids.

"Oh sweetie it's your birthday today isn't it?" I nodded. "Well how about I take the kids for the night." I raised an eyebrow.

"Well, I'd have to get milk for them at the house-"

"We have some." I blinked making her sigh. "Listen, Harry has something planned, he asked me if I could take the kids so he left everything for me this morning." I gasped.

"I thought he forgot." She chuckled shaking her head. "That's why you called me over."

"Of course, well we were cleaning anyways. Just act surprised." I nodded giving her a hug.

As I walked into the house with the box, I heard Harry in the kitchen. I set the box down and walked in to find him cutting something. "My birthday girl!" I smiled at him.

"You did remember." He walked up to me and picked me up to kiss my cheek. "Happy anniversary."

"I love you." He kissed my cheek a few times before he set me down. I remembered I had a gift for him.

"Hold on." I walked towards the room to get the box and ran back to him. He smiled taking off the wrapper. "I hope you like it." He opened it slowly and he gasped.

"Sick! It's a skull!" He smiled putting it on his finger.

"Do you like it, it has little amethyst gems in its eyes." He smiled.

"Purple?" I nodded.

"Your birthstone." He shrugged putting it on his finger. "Do you like it?"

"Fucking love it." He put his hands on my cheeks and pulled me in for a kiss. He was making dinner and told me it still needed twenty minutes in the oven.

We walked into the living room and he noticed the box. "What's that?" I pulled it so I can sit down against the couch as I opened it.

I pulled out my prom dress and smiled big. "Memories." I held the dress up to my chest. It was a simple black dress with rhinestones my mom put on at the bottom. "My prom dress." He took it and put it against his chest making me laugh.

"Did you have a date for prom?" I nodded. "I never went to prom, I finished school by mail. It would have been weird if they held a prom with a bunch of criminals." He pouted looking in the box.

"My prom sucked, all my friends had a blast, but I wasn't really the happiest girl at the time." He frowned pulling out a box. Inside was a bunch of pictures from when I was a kid.

"Jane, you never told me you were a cheerleader?" He showed me a picture.

"That's Halloween, and that's Phoebe." He gasped. "Yeah we looked alike when we were younger, but she got taller and dyed her hair. I got boobs and she didn't." He went through a few photos before giggling.

"Shut up were you emo?" He turned a photo and I blushed. Seventh grade Jane was embarrassing.

*not Jane but this is what scene was for those of you who don't know*

"It's not emo, it's scene and it was the style." I pulled the picture.

He chuckled looking through the photos. I cringed at myself posing with my dark eyeliner and band t-shirts. My bangs looked ridiculous, and I was flipping off the camera.

"I bet you listened to My Chemical Romance and Panic!at the disco." I blushed

"That's exactly what I listened to." He gasped. "The killers were my shit."

"Same." He chuckled. As he reached photos from high school he noticed there were less happy pictures. "Junior year you were attacked?" I nodded. "Poor baby." He shook his head. I pulled out a journal and cringed at the first page. How depressed was I? "Whoa, please tell me that's you and you're over eighteen."

He showed me a picture of myself during a party. I was in a mini skirt and a tank top sitting on an old friend of mine.

"I was twenty."

"You're hot." I rolled my eyes. He looked through another photo and gasped. "Belly button ring! I see a belly button ring!" I laughed. "Where is it?"

"I took it out before I met you." He pouted. "You are so lame." I shook my head.

"Fuck, you were like, god damn what happened?" I gasped. "No, I mean like-"

"Harry!" I felt offended.

"No baby I mean like you were so different, you're still gorgeous. You just seemed like you went out drinking and clubbing. You had a lot of friends too." I shook my head.

"Those aren't my friends, those are Phoebe's. I used to go out because Phoebe would basically drag me out with her. I had a few close friends, but most of them went to universities and we lost contact because I stayed in town. When I met Olivia she and I got close so I stopped trying to reach out to all my old friends." He nodded.

"You didn't stop because of me did you?" He said quietly. I pinched his cheek and shook my head. "Okay good."

"You know it's funny I look wild in these photos, but I'm not even drunk in any of these." I giggled. "I was high in this one." He chuckled.

"That guy looks familiar." He raised an eyebrow. I looked and smiled at the nerdy kid with glasses, braces, and overalls.

"That's Zayn, you met him once in L.A." Harry made a face.

"That's him." I nodded.

"Talk about a glow up, you should see him now." Harry shook his head.

"He looks better than L.A.?" I nodded. "He can't have two glow ups."

I laughed taking out more journals. He stood to check on dinner and I read a journal entry from three weeks before I met Harry.

Went out tonight with Olivia, she brought another guy to meet me and I felt so awkward. I don't think I need a boyfriend, I'm 21 I should focus on school. Speaking of school I think I overdid it last semester, I'm going to take it easy with a few classes. The one I'm dreading is communication, but I need to take it. Luckily Olivia is going to be in my class. Can't wait to see who else I'll meet.

"Okay literally the chicken is almost done, it needs like five minutes." Harry came back in sitting down. "What's that?"

"The journal that I wrote while I was with you. Lots of juicy details of our relationship." He sat beside me as I read another paragraph. "Oh my god, I'm so good at details." He chuckled. "Literally a page about kissing you." I groaned.

"Let me read it." I shook my head.

"No it's embarrassing, I talk about personal feelings in this." He sighed. I skipped to the last couple of pages and suddenly I remembered the last thing I wrote in here.

I'm pregnant, I'm terrified. Harry seems so happy but I feel like his promises of marriage are empty. We've only known each other for eight months. If we weren't having a baby, would he still want me in a few years?

I felt tears sting my eyes and quickly tossed the journal back in the box. Of course, it crossed my mind a lot. If I hadn't gotten pregnant and told Harry about wanting to get married, would he have married me?

"Hey what's wrong?" I shook my head telling him I was fine. "Jane I know you, what was it?"

"It's not important now, let's go eat I'm hungry." I stood up but he put his arms around me. "Harry stop I'm hungry."

"Not until you tell me what you read that made you cry." He pried.

"I wrote something after I got pregnant with Daisy, I said that if I wasn't pregnant, we wouldn't have even thought about marriage." He let go of me and looked down.

"I thought of it." His voice low.

"Did you? Six months into our relationship you wanted to marry me?" He shrugged. "It's not important anymore-"

"Well, clearly it is if it has you crying. Do you still feel that way?" I looked away and shrugged.

"Why did it take us so long to have a wedding?" He groaned.

"Because we were broke Jane! I promised you a wedding of your fucking dreams, the one you wanted since you were little! I promised you that! My whole life I gave no fucks about anything, but the second you told me Valentine's day I got you pregnant, that you wanted to have a wedding I panicked, because at that moment I looked at you and I said 'this is it, this is the woman I want to be with for my entire life'. Why the fuck do you think I was so happy when you told me you were pregnant?" He asked me. "I wanted to marry you from the beginning, having Daisy didn't change a god damn thing."

I looked down at my feet. "Promise." He took a step closer to me and put his hands on my face.

"I promise, I love you." I sniffled hugging him.

"I love you more." He chuckled.

"Not possible, but whatever gets you through the day." I giggled looking up at him. "Now kiss me, my love, like you mean it." I smiled kissing his soft pink lips.

I laid on the couch watching Titanic, full from dinner. "I need to pee." I stood up, but he quickly followed me. "Dude alone."

"I have a surprise for you, it's in the bathroom." I gave him a weird look but followed him. As I opened our door I gasped.

"You didn't!" I squealed jumping up and down. "You got me a new bathtub! We both fit in there!" I turned to hug him. "Oh, baby!"

"That's right daddy got you a new hot tub so you can have better baths to relax." I kissed him all over. "I'm guessing you like it?"

"Daddy, I'm about two seconds away from sucking your dick." He snorted. "I have to pee first." I kicked him out.

After I finished I walked out and Harry stood by the bed looking at his phone.

"Des called me." I raised an eyebrow. "He texted me because I didn't answer." I walked over reading his text.

Desmond jr: Harry I understand why you would be upset with my mother, but you can't change those who don't want to change. Since our father told me about you when I was a kid, I wanted to meet you. You are exactly what I pictured in my head and really want you and your wife to come to my wedding.

I smiled gently at the text, but Harry looked confused. "Baby why can't you accept that someone besides me and your children actually likes you." He sat down on the bed and groaned.

"Why do people like me?" I giggled.

"Well, one, you're good looking, but not like threatening." He chuckled. "You have a good sense of humor, reliable, you don't judge people." I smiled counting on my hand. "Your wife's really pretty." He laughed grabbing me to lay back on the bed with him. "Oh, and you're smart, talented, artistic." He covered my mouth.

"You're making me blush." I licked his hand. "Jane!" I rolled on top of him and pinned his hands back. "Ooh, I'm so scared of the little princess." I squinted my eyes.

"If I'm the princess you're the frog." He got his hand out of my grip and spun us around so I was underneath him. "Get off of me froggy!"

"Try and get me off." He shrugged. I tried to move my hands from his grip, but I couldn't get him off without hitting him in the balls. I stuck my chest out more and pouted my lips. He leaned down kissing me. I began moaning and felt his grip loosen for me to take my hand out and grab his ear. "Ow ow!" He pulled away.

"Get off." He rolled over and I let go of his ear.

"That's cheating!" He rubbed his ear.

I grabbed his face and kissed his ear. "Oh, poor baby can't take a pinch." He stood up and I then remembered Harry's like a foot taller than me. "Oh, big daddy's so scary." I teased him. "What's he going to do?" I began walking away. He gave me a look and I knew I had to run. "Oh my god, what's that!" He turned and I quickly ran towards the living room."

"I'm going to get you and tickle you!" He said running after me. I made it to the kitchen and heard him running right behind me I stood there backed into a corner. "Oh look at that, she has nowhere to hide." I giggled trying to get past him, but he caught me, throwing me over his shoulder. He spanked me walking towards the room.

"If you tickle me I'll pee, I have no control of my bladder anymore since I've had your children!" I warned him.

"I won't tickle you." He set me on the bed and I quickly rolled out trying to run away. I know he was going to tickle me.

"I don't want to play." He smirked walking up to me and tickled my sides. I began laughing and panicking, I hated the tickles. "Harry!" I giggled uncontrollably.

"Say sorry for grabbing my ear!" He tickled my ribs.

"I'm sorry!" He suddenly stopped and sat down, giving me a chance to catch my breath. "I hate you." I shook my head.

"No, you don't." He laid back with his hands behind his head. I finally relaxed after a minute and looked at him.

"Harry?" He looked up. "I'm going to take a bath in my new tub." He sat up pulling his shirt off. "You can't join me until you apologize."

"For what, you pulled my ear!" He crossed his arms.

I sighed. "Fine, I'll just go and get all soapy and wet on my own." I pulled my shirt off and then my pants. I was left in a matching pair of blue lace bra and panties. I wore them in case Harry did remember today. He groaned pouting his lips, mumbling something under his breath. "What was that?" I unclipped my bra.

"I said I'm sorry." I smiled.

"Now say Jane is the best." He rolled his eyes. I took off the bra and he licked his lips.

"Jane's the best." I walked over and he stared at my boobs.

I grabbed him by his neck and made him look up at me. "Now say you're my bitch." He tried not to laugh. "I'm just kidding." I hugged him. "I love you." I kissed his cheek.

He lifted me up looking in my eyes. My feet were dangling as he held me up. "Come on princess, let's go get in the tub." He walked towards the bathroom.

"Figures the frog wants to get in the water." I joked, laughing until I felt his hand slap my ass again.

The new bathtub was so nice and big that both Harry and I fit perfectly. I laid back against Harry's chest as I made a pile of bubbles.

I got an idea and turned to look at Harry. "Bubble beard." He chuckled as I put it on him. His hair was wet and pushed back and he was relaxing in the hot water. "You look so cute."

I rubbed off the beard and pecked his lips. He hugged me as I laid against his chest again. "Can I tell you something?" I nodded. "I miss the kids."

"Me too, it's too late to go get them, but we'll see them in the morning." He smiled gently. "So tell me something about yourself?" I asked him.

"Um my name is Harry, I'm thirty years old, I'm married with three kids and I hate anything grape flavored." I giggled. "I found a grey hair yesterday." I gasped. "I know, I was like what the fuck, I'm old."

"You're not old, and when you do get old, you are going to be so hot." He nodded as if to agree. "Daddy Harry is fine."

"As long as I'm not granddaddy Harry." He shook his head. "You know I'm scared of Daisy and Violet growing up and meeting someone like me."

"Someone nice and handsome?" He shook his head. "I know baby, but they will grow up eventually. My dad wasn't thrilled when we began dating, and he likes you now. Sometimes." Harry nodded and began laughing to himself. "What?"

"Nothing sometimes when your dad is angry or says something to me, I look at him and all I want to say is, 'hey I'm fucking your daughter.' Or 'your daughter calls me daddy.' Is that fucked up or what?" I laughed.

"You're weird." I hugged him. We sat in the water for a while in silence. I looked at his arm and saw the tattoos on his skin, remembering the stories behind each one. "What's your favorite tattoo?"

"My Daisy." He mumbled.

"Besides that one."

"My new one." I giggled.

"None that involve the kids or me." He looked down and pouted.

"Probably the birdcage." I nodded he told me he got it the week after he got out of jail. "Which one do you like?" I looked at him and touched the butterfly on his stomach. "I like that one."

"Boop, boop, boop, boop." I poked his nipples. "I love you so much." I ran my hands down his body. He held my hand and kissed it gently. It was small gestures like this that made my heart skip a beat.

"You are making me extremely happy, I'm only like this with you." He smiled.

"Well I would hope so, you can't be happy with other people besides me. I'm your wife." I straddled him and felt him hard against me. "Oh someone's excited to see me." He chuckled nodding.

"Why don't we get in the shower, so I can show you how excited I am." I giggled about getting up quickly.

As the wedding quickly approached Harry decided he wanted to go. If Desmond Jr was willing to invite us, we should go.

I was walking down the aisle of the grocery store with Daisy in the cart and the twins in their stroller. "Okay, the wedding is on a Saturday so we would have to fly out on Thursday or Friday," Harry said.

"We don't have school the Friday before the wedding, so Thursday would be fine." I turned and watched as he scrolled through his phone.

"Has your aunt May called you at all?"

"Yeah, she was upset about everything, but she refuses to call my dad." He shrugged. "Not my problem."

I sighed grabbing some milk into the cart. "Mommy, I want chocolate milk please?" I looked at Daisy.

"Are you going to share with daddy?" She nodded. "Alright." I grabbed a carton of chocolate milk.

Harry pushed the kids in the stroller and followed close behind. I had forgotten to get cheese so Harry handed me the stroller and went back quickly. As we stood around the corner a woman with large breasts and bright blue hair walked past us with a basket.

She gasped when she saw the twins. "Oh my gosh, they're so cute!"

"Oh thank you, that's so sweet." I smiled looking down at the babies.

"What's their names?" She smiled down at them.

"The girl is Violet, and the boy is Harrison." She looked down at Daisy and waved.

"What's your name?" She asked her.

"Daisy Gemma Styles," Daisy said shyly behind my leg. "I like your hair."The woman smiled and thanked her.

"Baby you said Swiss right?" Harry asked. He walked up to us and his face dropped.

"Harry?" The blue-haired lady said.

"Oh, hey, you." He smiled awkwardly.

He had that look when he was hoping I could help him figure out who a person was.

"Lydia." He nodded. "You don't remember me do you?" Harry gulped. "It's fine, it was like eight years ago, don't worry about it." I looked between them and she directed her attention back to me. "Nice meeting you, I have to get going." She waved and walked away quickly.

I stared at Harry who suddenly had a moment of realization. "Oh my god." He gasped.

"Did you remember her?" He gulped. "What?" Suddenly it dawned on me. I got close and whispered. "Is she a one night stand?" He looked nervous, but all I could do was start laughing.

"Jane, it's not funny I'm embarrassed." I covered my mouth. "Oh my god." He covered his face.

Packing for New York was going to be hard with three kids, but my mom said she'd watch them. I wasn't sure how I'd feel leaving them for three days. Daisy kept saying she didn't want to go to another wedding so now I was in her room packing a bag for her to stay with her grandparents.

She sat on the floor painting Mickeys nails to match her own. "Mommy, can Mickey stay at grandma's house with us?" I nodded.

"Of course baby, are you sure you don't want to come with us?" She shook her head. "Why?"

She looked down. "Because you and daddy always fight when we go places." I looked at her. Did we fight? "We went with Nana and daddy made you cry." I sighed remembering our argument that night.

"Baby sometimes me and daddy will fight, but we still love each other okay. It's just that daddy likes to hold everything in and blows up when he hits a certain point." She blinked.

"Lucy in my class says her parents are divorced." I rolled my eyes. "She has two rooms, two birthday parties, two of everything."

I stood off the floor and went to her closet to pull out a dress for her. "Yes, but divorce means her parents aren't together anymore." She sighed. "Daddy and I aren't getting divorced because we fight toots."

"Good." She smiled. I looked at the time and groaned.

"Okay dinner time for Mickey and I'm going to make you chicken nuggets." She cheered. "Do me a favor and find your blue sneakers." She nodded going to her closet.

I walked down the hallway and saw the twins in their little chairs to hold them up. Harry sat watching a movie that looked scary so I slowly walked behind him and waited for something to happen.

The girl in the movie walked in the forest alone when suddenly the killer popped out of nowhere. I put my arms around Harry's making him jump. "Jesus! Don't do that!" He yelled.

I laughed. "Why are you watching scary movies with the kids, I told you to pack we leave tomorrow afternoon." He groaned.

"Why can't you do it for me?" I rolled my eyes. He stood to change the channel to the baby network and followed me into the kitchen. "Maybe we shouldn't go-"

"Dude cut the crap, we're going and that's final. We didn't just spend money on flights and a hotel for no reason." I opened the freezer.

"Well, maybe we go to New York but not the wedding." He shrugged.

I shut the freezer and gave him a look. He crossed his arms and I could feel a fight forming. "We're not doing this Harry, we've had this fight before where we travel somewhere and the whole way I'm being ignored like the fucking plague. Do not start an argument."

"I'm not starting a fucking argument, I'm saying I don't want to go. They're nothing of mine, so why are we going?" He got closer to me.

"Because he's your brother-"

"I have one sibling, and she's dead, he's nothing of mine." He shot back quickly.

I took a deep breath. "You know what Harry, you're right. Lets just not go to New York." I turned the oven on. "Get a refund for the tickets and I'll go return my nice dress tomorrow. Simple." I walked past him, but he grabbed my arm to pull me back. It wasn't rough, but I could tell he was getting mad. "Don't touch me." I pulled my arm away.

"Talk to me first." He said back.

"I did talk, but talking to you is like talking to a brick wall sometimes." I began walking away again. This time he put his arms around me.

"Baby please, I'm just nervous." He sniffled into my shoulder. I spun around and held his face. "I don't mean to be like this." I wiped away his tears.

"Be the man you say you are Harry. You are not there for your father or for that bitch. Des wants you there to build a relationship with you." He took a deep breath. "My love?" He pouted. "No pouting boo bear."

"Fine."

"Okay, now go pack and I'll make us something to eat." He nodded. "Kiss?" He pecked my lips. "Like you mean it." He kissed me again.

God, I hope he stays on his best behavior.
