Chapter 7: Another Visit
Your Pov:
You lay in bed, unable to get comfortable. It was strange, but you felt something was off.
You looked outside, and your eyes widened. Someone was lurking around, and you could smell it.
Your eyes narrowed slightly, smelling that it was, indead, another werewolf. Though his scent did not match the others you've met.
You watched as the figure came into view, and you shrank down, although knowing he couldn't see you.
Probably.
It was the guy from math class, Matt Williams. You watched as he looked up at your house, as if he was examining it, and just sat down against a tree.
He wasn't far away, but just far enough that if he got caught, he wasn't tresspassing. It was then, you realized, that he stopped right outside the inner barrier that you marked.
'At least he understands the concept of barriers and territory' you smirked.
He looked up at your window and stiffened slightly.
Aw. Darn. He could see you.
You decided to stop hiding and fully face him from your window, tilting your head in hopes for him to understand your confusion.
You opened your window and leaned out a bit, peering down at him.
He continued to do nothing but sit there at the edge of your inner territory, and you stared at each other for a while.
Well, in more accuracy, he was staring at you, and you were staring at his sunglasses. Why was he wearing sunglasses at night?
"Am I bothering you?" He asked softly, but loud enough that I could pick it up with my special hearing.
"Slightly. I'm curious to why you are here, but the only reason I can think of is that you are trying to provoke me. I mean, your in my territory, sitting just beyond the border of my inner territory, so I'm very cautious" I explained, using the same level of voice he had.
"No, that's not my intention" He said, shaking his head.
"I came to get away from the others, and knew being here was probably the safest place" He stated.
"Oh, well my apologies on being so accusing" I said.
"Its fine. Besides, I would probably to the same thing" he shrugged.
You shrugged too, just because you didn't have anything else to say.
Matt's Pov:
The more I watch her, the more I feel my brain spin. She was clever, fierce, and full of life; but was also shy and akward around others, and undeniably cute. She was basically the mix of being outrageously adorable, yet completely hot at the same time. It was like standing on the verge of heaven and hell.
One side was heavenly, her scent trailing everywhere around me, and the sight of her wearing nothing but a thin, oversized T-shirt, with her hair disheveled and sticking out, was definitly a major turn on.
On the other hand, being this close to her, desires slowly creeping into my mind, was not safe. For me, and for her. She still had no idea who I was to her, and she had no idea how much she was to me. If I were to tell her the truth, or in a worse case, have me try to actually act that way around her, she would undoubtedly be terrified.
I saw the look in her eyes when she first saw me. Even though she had no idea who I was, she was afraid of me. I could feel her fear and cautiousness from over here as she watched me from the window.
I could feel a certain sensation ebbing dully throughout my abdomen and I inwardly sighed.
Was now the time to tell her? Should I tell her at all? All these questions and desires slowly swirled in my head until I noticed movement out of the corner of my eye. Her head drooped, signalling she fell asleep at the window. I couldn't help but chuckle.
Standing up, I slowly crossed the inner barrier, and stalked over the the wall of the house. Upon climbing to her window, I noted that her scent grew stronger, and swallowed quietly.
Yeah. This was going to be difficult to keep away from everyone. I sat on the ledge of the window, and peered closely at her face. Slipping into her room, I slowly picked her up from her slouched position, and she mumbled something inaudiable. I waited until she grew comfortable and relaxed into my arms, before walking over to her bed. She, to my surprise, curled up to me, and sighed.
Either her unconscious body knew the truth, or she was cold. I decided it was a mix of the two, and pulled back the covers of her bed. Sliding her onto the bed, I lifted the sheets and covers over her, and stood up straight. She was peaceful, calm. And I noticed a blush growing on my face.
"Damn" I whispered, before making a dangerous move.
I leaned down once again, this time bringing my face closer to hers. I exhaled softly, and placed a hesitent, gentle kiss on her temple. Moving away from her, I took one more look at her sleeping face before climbing out the window, shutting it behind me. And after I crawled down the wall of her house, I stoke one last glance of her room before running off into the night.
