Twenty Eight: Heroism
I kid you not, the Green Lantern Movie is on my TV on channel GO! right now as I write this chapter.

"You want me to who what now?" Daphne asks incredulously. We stand with the Team in the Watchtower, as well as Aqualad (much to everyone's excitement).
"Assess this formula. Tell me what's missing," I say, handing her the holo sheets. She looks surprised, but takes them from me.
A few taps on her wrist computer later, the entire sequence appears on the screens of the Watchtower.
"Woah!"
"The hell?"
"Seriously!"
"This is what physics looks like?"
"Hana where did you even find that?"
Unsurprisingly, those comments came from the younger members. I could tell, however, that the older ones were seemingly as confused as me.
"Daphne... You understand this?" I hear Karen says. Daphne looks over her shoulder at her.
"Child's play," she says. Using one of the screen markers, she begins sorting out the equations, mumbling to herself.
"Kinetic...Sub particles... Why is the constant here? That doesn't even... What idiot wrote this?...Why would that be multiplied?..."
I take a glance at Jaime. He's giving her this look; a look that to me was a hint of love matched with pure adoration. It was minor though.
So...they have not broken up? Or they have and are now friends? Kids these days.
"Recognised; Nightwing, B01."
The Team cheer and welcome him like a God. For a small moment, everything felt like it once was, which was amazing.
Only, Wally is missing.
Please let this be some screwed up conspiracy that leaves Wally's soul awaiting refuge.
"Hey you," I grin when Dick walks over to me.
"Where've you been?" He smiles back. I instantly know something's wrong.
I fully face him. "Is something wrong?" I ask. He sighs slightly, before opening up his wrist computer. He types away, before looking back at me.
"Why were the bio-ship's records of Wally's... Why were they opened and downloaded?" He asks lowly.
"Because I needed them," I say lightly. I don't know if I should tell him why; I mean, what if he gets his hopes up, but I'm wrong and he really is...gone?
He watches me carefully, before poking my forehead. "This isn't her doing, is it?" He asks with a small smile.
I laugh and push his hand away. "No, just trust me." It takes a few seconds of silence, before he grabs my hand gently.
"Okay. I trust you," he says.
"Good."
"Hey. I've done it. But there's no final answers because not all of the equations can be solved. There's a constant missing," I hear Daphne say.
All conversations stop, with the attention going back to her.
"Then one constant will allow you to solve it?" I ask. She nods and turns around.
"Something has to be consistent with the two energies; otherwise they join, mix and max ou-" She suddenly cuts herself off, freezing.
The pen drops from her hand and hits the floor. Her eyes must scan the formulas again. They're probably so familiar.
"Hana! What the he-" I lift my hand. A band flies out of my ring and wraps around Daphne's mouth, arms and legs before she finishes yelling.
"All teams who were on ongoing investigations prepare a report on your mission in order to choose a path to continue on. Those who are not report to Aqualad and Nightwing. You have a mission," I strain to say, as I walk out into the garden of the Watchtower.
"Please don't freak out. Explain it to me," I say gently, just letting the band slip from her mouth. She breaths and stretches her jaw, frowning at me.
"The constant you're missing. It would have to be Wally's numerical value. Because he was the... the release the energy needed."
"Correct, but we have reason to believe it was a physical spell that assisted in the release. Not Wally."
Daphne stares at me in silent shock. I fear she may start crying, so I continue talking to distract her.
"Are you able to calculate Wally's numer-...the thing you said, and attempt to solve the equation?" I ask, releasing her completely, "Dr Fate is retrieving that of the spell now."
"Well sure. I'd need Wally's velocity, which in extent means mass, time. And that means I'll have to-"
"Okay, okay. Bio-ship should have recorded that kind of thing. Check the files. If not, use Bart. If we find out it was not him..." I trail off, stepping back.
"Then he's alive?" She whispers in shock.
"M-Most likely. But Daph..."
"Yeah; don't tell the Team," she murmurs to herself.
"Right."
I then can't help myself; "You and Jaime okay?"
She clasps her hands together and twists them. "We've been better. At our worst I suppose. B-But it will be fine," she whispers. "Still together."
I nod slowly. Daphne turns around and walks away, embarking on her own mission.
~
After looking over the reports, I realised that the Team had very little in the way of information on both the Black Widows and the Performer.
I don't have the team spirit, detective flare that Kaldur and Dick have. They made leading this team look so easy, even though I knew it wasn't.
"Hana?" I hear Dick call. I turn away from the files to see him across the library from me. He's holding my phone to his ear.
"Yes, she's right here Valentine. No- Right here."
I jump up and run across the room. He hands me the phone. "Are you okay?" I say urgently into the speaker.
"I'm fine. I promise."
"Where are you?"
"Just staying with some family. I needed to get away from Kar-...From Siren."
"Why is that?"
"It doesn't matter."
"Valentine."
"Hana, please just ask Kari about it," she says softly after a moment of silence.
I squeeze my temples with a sigh. "Alright. Will you be back soon?"
"Maybe. I miss you guys," she giggles. It gives me relief, because she sounds generally joyful for a moment. "I have to go."
"O-Oh. Alright. Stay safe then..." I trail off, before she bids goodbye and hangs up.
I pull the phone away silently, staring at the screen before placing it on the table beside me.
"Is she okay?" Dick asks, pulling me towards him with a smile.
"Sounds it. I have to talk to Siren though," I answer.
He takes my face in his hands. I look up at him, at his expression. Love, but something else. Something more than love.
"Four days until our anniversary," I whisper, kissing him and wrapping my arms around him. He rests his forehead against mine.
"I love you," He says softly. I smile and close my eyes for a second.
This man in front of me is mine. When did I get so lucky? To think that only a few weeks ago he had no memories of me...
"I love you too," I say, opening my eyes.
I kiss him, but something jumps at my leg. I squeak and pull away, looking to the floor to see Sunshine staring up at me.
"What?" I nudge him playfully with my foot. He barks and begins panting. What a little cutie!
"We haven't taken them for a walk for a while," I say lightly, scooping Sunshine up. Dick smiles, before whistling for Wipeout.
"Shall we, then?" He says when we hear Wipeout sprinting over.
We leave the house hand in hand, with both dogs on their leashes. I had the scarier responsibility of keeping Sunshine under control.
Unlike his father he likes to stray and be an idiot.
"So we've secured the house," Dick begins, "but I wanted to ask you something. It doesn't take advantage of the space, the house is almost on stilts and it's kind of...old. Like Wayne Manor old."
"I get you. So you want to knock it down and rebuild?" I ask, yanking Sunshine away from a pile of crap, literally.
"Rebuild, refurnish. It may take awhile. If you don't want to stay at the manor we can get another apartment, but Bruce doesn't mind."
"That's up to you. As long as I'm with you," I smile at him.
It's around 5:00 when we reached the park, at which point we turn around to walk back home. Unluckily enough, a van and a lancer pull over up ahead.
I groan when two different reporters with cameramen at their side get out. Dick and I instantly turn on the spot and begin walking back down the pathway.
As if on cue there were two men and a woman standing there with cameras flashing. We've been out for less than two hours and already media are on it.
It seemed stupid to think that glasses would hide who we were. Dick wraps his arm around my waist, pulling me along the path. I stare at the ground.
"Richard! Do you have any say on your father's latest business relationship with LexCorp?"
"Hanabrie are you wearing a ring?"
"Look over here! Left! Left Hana!"
"Are the two of you getting married soon?"
"Will Wayne Tech be doing a Forbes spread?"
"Were Wayne Tech rockets really found in a wrecked village in the middle east?"
"Hana what else can we expect from your modelling?"
A familiar black car pulls up. The back window rolls down. Daphne sticks her head out, waving us over. Ah; Daph and Alfred to the rescue!
Alfred climbs out and opens the door. Before I climb in, one of the many questions someone asks catches my attention.
"Hanabrie, is it true you have a PhD?"
I stop and look at the reporter. "It's true," I say with a small smile, proud of that achievement. I lift Sunshine up and climb into the car beside Daphne with him.
Dick places Wipeout in the front passenger seat before turning to the reporters. He begins lecturing them gently about practically attacking us.
After making a short statement on the allegations on the company, he moves into the seat next to me, closing the door.
Alfred begins driving away.
"Lucky we were going passed! Alfred just picked me up from my rehearsal," Daph says tiredly, yawning.
"We were just trying to take these two for a walk," I say kissing Sunshine's nose.
"Eww," Dick teases, poking me. I smirk and kiss him.
"Hana already has one dog to kiss," Daphne mumbles, earning her a flick in the head from her oldest brother.
~
Like most nights, I wake up due to the other side of the bed moving. I rub my eyes tiredly and open them, looking at the clock first, then at my boyfriend half way across the room.
All in the life of a hero; I know. He begins changing as I roll over with a yawn.
If I become the hero of Luna City suddenly, would it not be suspicious if at the same time, the gossip news is that Hanabrie Shiloh and Richard Grayson just moved there?
A random thought, but a valid one.
We are definitely moving there, but rebuilding the house will take a long time. Maybe if I start heroing there now...
"Dick?" I say tiredly sitting up and rubbing my head.
"Yeah?"
"Do you think I should start in Luna City now?"
I reach over to the side of the bed and grab my pyjamas, slipping them on.
"I've been thinking about that. To avert suspicion?"
"Yeah. Make Hanabrie Shiloh and Girl Lantern arrive at different times."
"Makes sense," his voice is closer now. He sits at the edge of the bed, reaching out and smoothing my hair off of my forehead.
"Alright; I'll start tomorrow night. A Monday. That works," I laugh, yawning once again.
"Means you'll have to start sleeping earlier," he says, kissing me before jumping up, putting his mask on.
"Mmhm, only if you let me," I reply, turning over to the middle of the bed, dragging my blankets with me.
Yes, Girl Lantern, hero of Luna City.

To my 'Council' of WizardNinjas, made up of my army Generals, I need to speak to you guys about something xD
Love you all so much!
