“Explain this to me then,” Siren begins, pinching the bridge of her nose. It has been more than twenty-four hours since Midnight escaped from Hana.

She stands in her cell with her arms folded. “Explain what?”

“If you desire to protect Hana, what was the point of torturing her? This is still a point in your plan that is unknown.”

“It is the only way for me to get what I want…. So far, what do you make of my plan, Aunty?”

Siren knows she should not play her nieces game. Batman, Captain Atom, the Lanterns and the team watch the interaction curiously.

“You want to use the Light of the Midnight for you own purpose. You tortured Hana into erasing the memories of her from those she loves. This opened her mind to the Never Kingdom to receive the Seven Gifts from the Mother.”

Midnight smirks and says nothing in reference to her Aunty’s words. “Oh. She’s about to speak to an old friend of yours; Hal Jordan, John Stewart.”

I continue to wander into the blank whiteness. I feel like a have been here for ages.

When another portal shows up, I sigh, not wanting to see another aspect of my friend’s lives changed without me.

This time it plays a piece with Klarion in it. We sit in the living room of his mansion, looking through a book on Songstress magic.

“What’s this one?” I ask him, pointing to it.

“That spell helps flowers grow. Want to learn it?” He replies, looking at me.

I smile and nod.

That’s when everything freezes. I begin fading, as does the book. He sits with Teekl in his living room. A lonely sociopath brat.

“That boy has minimal attractive qualities, though I see where his softness for you could be … alluring.”

His voice is so familiar. I spin on the spot to see Garn’zee, the ex-Laurel Destiny, who sacrificed his life for the survival of Earth.

“Hello,” I say, almost in a whisper.

“I’d imagine this can come as quite a shock,” he smiles, placing a hand on my shoulder.

“It’s been almost five years,” I tell him. “I think about that day a lot.”

A sad smile now takes his expression. “You have changed," he admits. I hug him tightly.

"I'm quite glad of who my ring chose when I left it behind," he admits lightly. I smiles and nod.

"Misty makes a very good Laurel Destiny."

He sighs and looks around the white nothing-ness. "The Mother has asked me to give you the gift of Containment," he says.

When he opens his hand, there is a gem there. He takes my arm gently and turns it so my palm faces up. The gem hovers over my wrist.

It then begins pressing itself into my arm painfully. I wince as it disappears beneath my skin. The injury seals itself with no blood. A dull blue glow emits from beneath my skin, before dying out.

"It should keep her contained," Garn'zee says, before kissing my forehead.

"W-Wait," I call out as he steps back. I become confused and irritated. "This isn't fair!"

He smiles at me. "You know what? You are right." Then he fades.

"Eleness has been the instigator in all of this," Siren murmurs, adding the information to the file on the investigation of Hanabrie and Midnight.

"Who is this 'Eleness'?" Captain Atom asks.

"Never heard of him, or her. When Hana told us about this person, we simply made the assumption that is was Midnight. But now..." She trails of.

Karianna walks back to Midnight's prison and asks her who Eleness is.

Instead of giving her usual smirk-of-reply, he expression becomes one of anger, fear and irritation. "How do you know that name?" She asks.

"Hana said it. Raven Blight told Nightwing that Klarion had been reporting to someone named Eleness," Siren answers. Midnight stares at the ground, wide-eyed.

She collapses beside Hana. "You best wake up soon, Sparkling One."

Siren turns back to Batman and Captain Atom. "Eleness..." She mumbles.

"What if the word is meant be the letters it sounds like?" Batman suggests.

"What do you mean?"

"Eleness, as in L-N-S."

He opens a screen and write the letters as an acronym. Doctor Fate takes over and writes in clear letters;

L - ady

N - ight

S - ky

"Lady of the Night Sky!" Siren exclaims.

"That was her title, right?" Nightwing asks. Doctor Fate nods.

"No, this isn't right," Kariana rubs her face irritably and turns around.

Everyone watches as she mumbles to herself quietly, listing everything she knows so far. Suddenly, she freezes on the spot. "What is it?" Batman asks. Siren turns around to Doctor Fate.

"Not Lady," she says, walking towards the acronym. She erases the 'Lady', and puts 'Lord' instead. "Lord of the Night Sky," she whispers.

Both Siren and Doctor Fate look at each other silently.

"Are you sure this is right?" Batman asks. Siren sighs heavily.

"Put it this way," she begins, "if we are right; if Klarion and the Lord of the Night Sky are working together... the battle against the Light will seem like child's play."

"Oh! Hello Tula," Midnight smirks loudly.

"What do you want from me!?" I scream into the nothingness.

It feels like days, maybe even weeks. I feel as if I am in the same condition I was when I got here; I am not hungry, not tired, but I feel my sanity slipping away slowly.

"Why are you making me lose them all over again!? What kind of Goddess are you!?" I shout.

"It's not long now Han, I promise," a light, happy, familiar voice chirps. I spin on my heels to see Tula, Aquagirl, standing right there.

"Tula..." I whisper. She smiles.

"That's me."

This time I know exactly what I wanted to say. "I am so sorry. It was all my fault. I lead Klarion to us and-"

"Please don't!" She says urgently, stepping forward and taking my hands tightly. "I know the others would have told you this; it's not your fault."

I try to protest, but she laughs and covers my mouth with her hand. "C'mon; I'm here for a reason," she chuckles. I find myself frowning. That's right; she's not really back.

"I bring the gift of words; for you previous gift." I glance down at my arm, to the gem Garn'zee gave me.

"Thine who holds the dark of night
I am the key whom within shines bright
When uncontrolled evil is in sight
Together we form the Light of the Midnight."

It sounds strange hearing her say it, but when I blink, it's almost like I can see the words in my head.

"Could you...do one thing for me?" Tula says. I nod.

"Just; tell both Garth and Aqualad to move on."

When she hugs me one final time, I know she is fading. When I pull away she is gone.
