"Issa?" I turned around to see someone too familiar behind me saying my name. I sigh.
"What Jessica, shouldn't you hate me by now?" I said rubbing my upper arms, trying to hide how bad I felt.
"I don't know what happen back there... but I don't feel that could have been you... I don't know you well... but you even said, my friends and I are special, maybe I can just tell." "Sometimes stars can tell when they're talking to another, corrupt or not, we don't know why this happens. We don't know anything about stars really... it's pretty unexplained." I remembered alman telling me this when I wasn't corrupted.
"You need to leave before that happens again, or before moon or Olivia finds you here."
"They know I'm here..."
"And they're ok with that?"
"They know I can defend myself if something does happen..."
"Well that's nice..."
"Yesterday they also... told me about corruption."
"Oh, that's why your here... no wonder." I looked at her as she showed me two silver marks on her wrists, eight pointed stars. Normally you only have one, that's what keeps you from getting corrupted, mine faded a long time ago.
"I want to help you Issa..."

Not on my watch. I heard that voice in my head again. She grabbed me wrist quickly and it faded. She didn't transfer it or anything, she stopped it.
"No, you can't give a second chance up for me!"
"I need to though. I know all about Allison, your happy ending. I know the pain of that kind of dream being crushed like that. I want to free you from this. Please let me give you your happy ending."
