Chapter 76: Bloody Mess

She looked at the boy with widened eyes as she only saw demonic eyes staring back at her and drops of her blood spilled on his face.

"Naru...to..." She whimpered as drops of her blood dripped from the genin's claws .

With a smirk, the genin pulled his claws from out of the girl as she immediately shrieked in pain, backpedaled to the wall, fell to her bottom, and placed her hand on her wound.

"You're in my way," She then heard another voice from the boy's lips, "Damn you!"

The blond cracked his knuckles.

"All you ever do is prevent me from being fully released!"

He raised a arm to strike. Her eyes widened as she quickly moved to her left when Naruto's claw came down, barely missing her.

Opening the window next to his bed, Nia immediately jumped out from it and began running atop of the roofs as the blond chased after her.

'This can't be happening!' A deep pain filled her heart as she ran with her arm still over her midsection, 'He... attacked me! He really attacked me!'

"I'll tear you to shreds!" The Nine-Tails hollered as he jumped into the air, hoping to slaughter the girl.

The sky was now dark as night had settled in not too long ago. Villagers were in their homes and weren't outside in general. They were so focused on their own thing that their ears didn't pick up on the noise being made above their own houses.

Eventually, Nia made it out of the village using a secret path that wasn't being guarded. Though she was in danger, she didn't want anyone to see the state the boy was in. She figured that if the villagers were to see his behavior, they'd surely treat him with absolutely no respect and would be afraid of him. She couldn't let that happen to him.

"Die!" The ninja lifted his arm into the air once more and slashed Nia's left arm as she yelped and slid a few feet away, gripping her shoulder in pain.

"What's wrong?" The beast approached her slowly, "You don't wanna fight me cause you don't wanna harm this brat?"

Laying there in numb shock, Nia didn't see his shadow fall over her.

Her predator laughed, "Your gentleness will have you slaughtered!"

Nia yelped while her eyes watered at the pain as a clawed hand fisted into her hair and jerked her head back, arching her throat.

Maniac laughter sounded above her, and she cracked a dark brown eye open. Crazed eyes, the color of blood and flames stared down at her. Sharp, white teeth pulled back into a menacing sneer.

"I will kill and destroy everything!" The beast's voice was harsh and deadly.

He released her hair and brutally shoved her to the ground, snickering sadistically as she whimpered. Dropping to his knees, he planted one arm on the other side of her body to brace himself over her. His hand found her hair again, digging into the thick ebony locks and yanking her head back again.

As this happened, something began to disturb the fox. Naruto's feelings were beginning to get ahold of his actions. So much so that it began to influence his behavior in a way that he'd never do on his own.

His tongue slid over the bloody scratches over her arm, the very tips of his elongated fangs grazing her flesh. Nia sobbed in agony—fresh, salty tears leaking from her eyes as his fangs dragged over the raw wounds.

Closing her eyes, she struggled to get away from him, pushing on his shoulders.

"Naruto! Snap out of it!" She screamed, "Think about what you're doing! Please!"

The demon sneered, his demented eyes flashing. He drew a long, taloned finger down the girl's face. Naruto's demon eyes fell to the warm, wet blood blossoming from Nia's midsection. His vicious leer widened.

Lowering his head, he descended upon the bloody gashes gouged into her wound, his teeth bared hungrily.

"Naruto, stoooop!" Nia panicked, catching his shoulders with her hands in an attempt to shove him away.

As this happened, the kanji engraved in her hand began to glow and in seconds, the blond was mildly electrocuted as if he was tased.

"Guah!" He groaned as this happened.

Dazed, Nia staggered to her feet, wobbling unsteadily. Blood splattered down her clothing, staining the grey fabric of her jacket crimson. Instinctively, she covered the open, bleeding wound with her small hand. The pain was so intense that she almost blacked out when her hand made contact with the raw flesh.

She then heard faint yells coming in her direction as she blurredly saw a couple of people running toward her.
Another wave of dizziness crashed over her, and the next second, she found herself flat on her back, staring up at the night sky.

Then... blackness.
