BONUS CHAPTER: A Night To Remember 🍋

"Aaaand there!" Nia sat down two plates of food opposite of one another on a table with a red cloth over it as a candle was lit atop at the center. "A romantic dinner for two! Kya, I can't wait till my hero comes home! Whatever it was, Nia was hoping nothing bad happened to him.

Within the next thirty minutes, she decided to throw away the food as there was no way of heating it. He didn't have a microwave and using the stove wasn't a very bright idea in her mind.

1:30 A.M.

In all honestly, the girl contemplated about whether or not to go to sleep as she sat at the table with her elbow atop of it and her cheek in her palm.

Three hours and no sign of the guy anywhere. She hated it. She spent all day getting everything perfect for his return. 2:55 A.M.

There. Dinner was once more finished! Again, Nia sat it on the table. Surely, Naruto would make his appearance soon. As a result, she went to go wait by the door again. She was going to surprise him. She was going to show him that she cared deeply about never letting him come home to an empty apartment alone with no one to welcome him back ever again.

3:05 A.M.

The girl's eyes were getting red and droopy - she wanted so badly to lay in bed and go to sleep. However, her heart was so anxious. Her mind raced over the thought of him possibly actually being hurt. No... if he were, she would've already had someone break the news to her.

When he looked around, he would then spot the food on the table that was left untouched on both plates.

Naruto frowned.

Nia really had stopped by to make him something good for the both of them to enjoy together. Not only that, but his home was cleaned and organized as always while she was there. None of his clothes laid out on the floor yet was instead hanged up and folded in his closet and drawer. No trash was lying around and the garbage had been taken out.

Everything was dusted and the dirty dishes were washed and placed neatly in the cabinets and dish drying rack. Everything was just nicely kept up and though it made his heart melt, it only added onto his guilt.

When he took a bite out of his meal, it was cold. His heart sunk - He had definitely came home far too late.

Suddenly he heard some sniffling. Unsure of what that could've been, he headed to his room and opened the door.
