BONUS CHAPTER #48: Adoration

"I... I really love you, Naruto," Nia mumbled as Naruto held her to his chest.

"I really love you too, Curly Brow," He told her.

"I just... don't want you to be mean to me. I want you to be kind to me and like me."

"I really like you. I would never treat you so horribly like everyone else. They're such awful people for treating you like you're less than. I hate bullies," Naruto cupped Nia's chin and gazed into her eyes.

"I always worry that my protector is gonna change his mind about me. That he's going to think I'm an awful person. That he's going to think I'm ugly. That he's going to make fun of me and treat me bad and hate me," Nia croaked.

"I would never," The blond kissed her cheek. "I would never treat anyone terrible like that, let alone a person like you. You're amazing, Curly Brow. I know you're not perfect but you're such a loving and kindhearted person. I feel heartbroken that you're hated so much. You don't deserve it. You treat everyone the way you want to be treated but because of your looks, everyone wants to beat you with a stick. It's horrible. You deserve so much better, ya know."

"Oh Naruto..."

"Come here," Naruto tightened his hold on Nia and pecked her forehead. "I love you so much."

Nia's chest thudded loudly. It was always like her to get so swoony over the genin's affection and words. She wondered how anyone like him could be kind to a girl like her. He was so flawless and she was so... well, basically beneath him, and not in the good way either.

"I really want to be with my protector," She blushed.

"Your protector wants to hold you."

"I want a kiss."

"Oh Curly Brow..." Naruto leaned his head down and the two shared a kiss.

Nia always had to thank her lucky stars that she had won his love. It always seemed impossible in the beginning but with courage and immense dedication to reveal her love to him, she managed to pull it off. Naruto was her's and she felt blessed by that fact everyday. The fact that he... a guy so beautiful inside and out gave her the chance of a lifetime was more than what Nia could take.

Nia reached for his hands and gave a few more nips at his lips. Her face was rosy, but she didn't care that she looked utterly and helplessly in love. How could she not fall for the kindhearted man that Naruto was? He was so gentle and pure, like a prince holding a butterfly on his finger. Nia knew she hit the jackpot with him and she wasn't gonna ruin it with anything. He was gonna stay as her's and she was gonna make sure of that.

Naruto continued to make out with her, strongly keeping her in his grasp. He wasn't so shy with her and attempted to enter his tongue in her mouth. However, Nia was beyond flushed and lightly pushed away, averting her eyes as he stared down at her with a raised brow.

"Don't be scared, beautiful. It's ok," he told her.

"B-but Uzumaki... I... I'm not ready, baby."

Naruto softly laid kisses on her face. "Don't be like that. Your protector wants to be gentle with you. He knows you're really sensitive."

"Oh honeybun."

"Curly Brow..."

"I want to stay in my protector's arms..." Nia placed her hands on his chest. "I love him and want this moment to stay romantic."

Naruto pouted. "I guess... if that's what you want."

"Please don't be mad at me. I'm gonna be heartbroken if you get upset with me."

"I'm not mad. I know you're really scared. After all, I'm your very first guy you're doing this with. I know you're very selective with who you let inside your body and even just touch you. I've never done any of this with a girl either, so I'm really nervous too, ya know."

"I hope I don't mess it up once the right time comes..." Nia said.

Naruto rubbed her head. "Don't worry about it. We'll figure it out together. I really want to wait for you."

"I'm so happy you're not pressuring me and that you're understanding of my situation, Uzumaki."

"Of course."

Nia gave a small, bashful smile before glueing her eyes to the grass below her. Naruto loved going out to the fields to train and Nia loved to be there to shower him with praise and support. She wanted to be the best girlfriend she could be to him. After all, he was always doing his best for her too.

Together, they were gonna uplift and support one another. Nothing was going to break the bond that they had. Nia was on cloud nine the whole time she spent with Naruto. Her dimples showed as he told her jokes and acted a bit of a mess in front of her. Naruto's spirit was so fresh and lively.

He really wasn't like every other man Nia had encountered. He was different. He wasn't mean... nor shallow, nor cruel, nor a bully. He always treated her kindly and had nothing bad to say about her behind her back. He wasn't the type to treat her badly because of something as little as her appearance. He didn't see her textured skin, unruly hair, chubby body, nor conventionally unattractive features... he saw her for her.

That's what Nia loved about him most. The fact that he was so accepting of others around him. She appreciated that he always seemed to see inside her heart—beyond the walls, beyond the hurt, beyond the baggage of her traumatized youth.

She, too, saw him for everything he was. The blond had his flaws but Nia didn't mind them cause it was his soul that shone brighter than all of his imperfections. Nia loved him for him and that was a fact. He was beautiful in her eyes—the most special man on the planet.

As his training session concluded, Naruto asked her for a date, to which Nia happily accepted. She was ready and willing to go on any adventure he set his eyes on. Hand in hand, they strolled through the village, promising that this date would be one to remember.
