Robert and Michael watched as Steven went through the trial. It was painful to watch, especially for Michael, until eventually, he had enough. "Can I speak to 'Rose' in private?" Michael asked. "I want to ask 'her' a few questions."

The diamonds looked at each other before Blue waved her hand, signaling it was okay. Michael and Steven leaned in close.

"Pal, don't answer for your mother's 'crime'. You are not Rose Quartz, you are not Pink Diamond, and you never will be! You are you, accept it. Not like you have a choice." Michael said. "Oh, and by the way, ask for me to the stand when you get the chance. It'll blow them away."

Robert made sure nobody was spying on them, when the time was up, Steven stood before the Diamonds. "And? Any evidence you wish to share?" Yellow Diamond asked.

"I call Michael Light to the stand!" Steven declared.

Blue Diamond was confused, whereas Yellow seemed intrigued to see how Michael correlated with this. Michael switched to his projector function. "Here I have the truth about Pink Diamond's quote-unquote "Murder," Michael said, projecting a file list of Pink Diamond's logs.

"Where did you get those?" Blue Diamond asked.

"Before the trial, we went to Pink Diamond's old base in Giza, Egypt to collect evidence and the seventh melody. I, being the detective I am, found some of Pink's old logs still on her computer. Let's have a look, shall we?" Michael explained, presenting the first recording.

"Greetings. This is my first log, I am Pink Diamond, I am making this to let one know that I am going to assume a new persona in order to protect Earth, called Rose Quartz." the holographic Pink Diamond said before shapeshifting into Rose Quartz. The audience, defense, and prosecution all gasped in disbelief.

"There is no way you didn't fabricate that evidence!" Yellow Zircon snapped.

"Sssh, here's my favorite part!" Michael said.

"I am making this persona in order to scare the other Diamonds away from Earth, In order to keep this alive, I want you, the viewer, to never tell my rebellion about this, as I could be shattered for it, being seen as a spy or a traitor. I don't want to destroy life just for the sake of a colony, which is why I am starting a rebellion." It said before showing Pink Diamond's signature outro and fading away.

"Oh, and just so you know, That's not Rose Quartz. That is her son, Steven." Robert said.

"And how do you know this?" Yellow Diamond asked.

"That brings me to the next recording," Michael said, playing the next recording. This one brought about a pregnant Rose Quartz.

"Greetings. This recording is intended for my son, Steven Quartz Universe," Rose started. "I am making this because I want you to know that, should there be turmoil between you and the other Diamonds because of what I did...I cannot apologize enough. I want you to exist in a time of peace so that you can grow and change. I didn't think Earth needed a champion to defend it, but if you are seeing this, that is not the case. Steven, know that no matter where you are, I will always be there. I love you, Steven. And it's not just me, you have the Crystal Gems, Greg, and all the other residents of Beach City. Possibly even the humans in the prophecy foretold by legend. Steven, I hope you can exist in a peaceful future, I am sorry we cannot both exist, but I hope you understand that I am giving up my life so that you may live yours. I love you."

There was a stunned silence from the courtroom, all eyes were on Steven.

"Is...this true?" Blue Diamond asked.

Steven nodded.

"Lies!" Yellow Diamond hissed. Electricity cracked in her hand as she released it at Steven.

Robert jumped in to absorb the blow, powering him up exponentially.

"You dare defend that liar? All four of you will be shattered for this insolence!" Yellow Diamond snapped. Lars looked around and went inside the spider mech, and the others followed suit.

"Anyone know how to drive this thing?" Lars asked in a panic. Michael tried plugging in his arm cannon to hack the thing, but he couldn't find an outlet. Robert found a pedal. "Help me push!" Robert yelled. Steven stepped on the pedal, and it floored, making the legs run forward into the wall. Yellow Diamond tried one more bolt, this time firing at Michael. Michael took the hit and the bolt reflected off the Franklin Badge and poofed Yellow Zircon.

The mech crashed through the wall, leaving a hole for our heroes to escape through.

"Escape is futile! We know this planet like the backs of our hands!" Yellow Diamond shouted through the hole as our heroes fell into a seemingly bottomless pit under the courtroom.

Will they survive the fall? Or will they appear in the obituaries?
