Reflection; The Musicians Song
For the first time ever, I've been able to develop a fairytale!
How'd I do this?
With great stride!!
I own many books, though I'm not an avid reader. My creativity comes from a vast array of unique sources. In this case however, I did take one of my favourite Grimm Fairytales, and make this the TWENTY SIXTH interpretation of 'Town Musicians of Breman.
I also own every piece ever scribed by Shakespeare, and adore his love of lust and lure. In 1820 a poetic verse comes to life from 'Venus & Adonis' 1819: 'Lo, here the gentle lark, weary of rest'
The scape is gripped with cobblestone and history as it is set in one of the oldest parts of the world.
I mix in my love of Greek Mythology to derive the turmoil between good vs evil and pave the way for where Night meets Day by creating a Loomis etched in ruin.
A soul searching tale of what love and more importantly self love means, drives the protagonist to her imagination of alter self and how she sees herself is of the most importance.
Understanding of what choice and determination means to a young child can be a heavy toll.
When the Gods shake up the atmosphere ( all depicted with musical influences & instruments) a trip through the Valley leads to a Loomis proving to be choice driven by reflecting on what true love means.
Will their choice be selfish or will she face the music of reality once all is said and done?
GRIMM:
Tells the story of four aging animals, whom felt neglected and or mistreated venture out to become musicians in nearby city of Breman. Contrary to the title, the four never make it to the city and instead find homestead by tricking robbers out of an abandoned home. A home they found in discomfort and sought after by seeing a light deep in the forest.
SHAKESPEARE:
Venus the goddess of Love and her attempted seduction of Adonis. Its formation is of erotic, comic and tragic. Containing discourses on the nature of Love, and observations of Nature.
GREEK MYTHOLOGY:
Water in mythology splits into two forms, most notably as a Segway to Hades. It can represent vitality and eternal life.
Religion and Myth concentrates on two Gods one good Dionysus whom represents in this story as festivity and pleasures.
The battle of scape is the idea of the formation of the land/dream world Molly walks.
Thus- striking an evil God Alastor, an avenger of evil deeds, specifically familial bloodshed!
The idea of people being animals or compared to is a debate for the centuries.
How one sees themselves and the power of love is the key moral of the story here!
This is also being used as a prologue for Adam Rossi and Molly Pike in my Novella:
Accidental Crier.
Enjoy
