Expanding the Light in the Dark Series, opened up a door for me to reimagine some characters.
As you would've read previously, the idea sprang to me in form of my favourite heroine Serena!

The EMPIRE story was so powerful in ways of imaging what a cult leader could do, that it sparked a quiet interest in me for some of the characters that partook in that story.
As well as other characters throughout my story board.

There was Oscar Theroux from THOMAS CRAIG
Ritchie Peters from SWEAR I NEVER WOULD
Andy Hopper from SWEAR I NEVER WOULD
Dominic Ryan from ETHICS
Geoff Jeffries from ETHICS
Cole Gianni from GIVE ME SHELTER

And the clan from EMPIRE that needed more storytelling:
Milo Mann
May Springfield
Jagger Tortorella
Dale Phoenix
And a personal favourite Ben Dawn.

Now just a little back thought if I may, the conception of Ben Dawn, came from the main protagonist in EMPIRE ECHO part two of EMPIRE Dana Dawn.
However, the character had been in mind for my first Novella Lexingburg Bay.

I eventually beefed up that Novella and it has now become ACCIDENTAL CRIERS and their continuation storylines. That's my ongoing Novella.

I've always had a fascination for comic book villains. I wanted a villain to be so obsessed with my character in LEXINGBURG BAY that he resembled the infamous Jim Carrey Villian in an old Schumacher film. 😉

This reporter would have taken over and killed the original character of my likeness. In the current Novella I do have a similar character in mind to have taken the part in form of Logan Lew

Remembering Ben Dawn, brought back my original thought process. I reintroduced him in SILVER SPOON as a connection to Serena that she could almost remember.

I have now been writing THE REPORTER which will be the first in the Light in the Dark: Legacy series.
Ben Dawn is as he should've always been, a reporter. He stumbles upon a story which connects to his quest to find his missing presumed dead sister in Dana Dawn.

A backstory of the Dawns is scripted. The connections to the Colony/Riddle Ranch ( both of the same place) is the landscape to both my original Novella and EMPIRES cult storyline.

Ben can't seem to grasp his demons. He has a low sense of self worth, yet holds onto the lingering belief that it could very well be possible that this Riddle Ranch is an actual thing!!

You see at the end of EMPIRE the ranch is non existent, the narrative has gone cold and yet Dana is still missing! There would be no truth to the tales being told by May Springfield.
READ IT, you'll understand.

So with this new case, Ben is lead down a long trail of past memories, sleepless nights and uncovers something sinister connecting him to the plot line all along.
The story also installs new legacy characters in Goldie Grey ( connection to Accidental Criers)
Bower Boyd ( connection to Black Friday)
Jane Hovin ( connection to Silver Spoon)
Randy Le'Hyrondelle ( Swear I Never Would)

LEGACY instalments will feature old characters brought to life for me to reinvent, and for your enjoyment!

The world of Connor's Island is flourishing and I am so excited for YOU the reader to jump on in some of the stories!!
