Dusk woke up from his dream about his past with his old friend Spike. He saw Lightning stare at him with a mean look, she was already back up.

"Did you have a nice nap?" she taunted, "Hahahahaha!" she laughed evilly.

Dusk still felt his body ache from her attacks.

He struggled to get up as he looked around. "How do I save her without hurting her" Dusk thought.

She started to charge up electro ball. "Any last words?!" Lightning grinned.

"No... I can't kill him" Lightning's voice faded, sounding like her real self was fading away, so she would be evil and in Drowzee's control forever and be a slave for the rest of her life.

Dusk trembled a bit. "Please Lightning...don't do this...I don't want to hurt you..." Dusk said as he backed off a bit.

He looked into her eyes for a hint of hope she would fight it but there was nothing...just a void growing bigger in her soul as she remained under control.

"That's all?! Aww, pity" she grinned starting to use her attack but it back fired and her real self made it hit her and she fell to the ground.

"Dusk...You got to find the source of the trance" she whispered.

"H-huh...?" Dusk whispered. he could have sworn he heard her true voice speak to him. He looked at her confused.

"Look for the source before I fade away, entirely" she whispered a lot quieter.

"The...source...?" Dusk asked again.

"Yes, the... source" she whispered quieter.

"Where would it be...." he asked himself out loud.

"Hahahahaha! Why would I tell you where the source is?!" the evil part of her returned.

Dusk gasped as she returned back under their control again. "Where do I start searching..." he thought as he looked at her leering at him.

"You'll never find the source!" Lightning yelled again.

"Maybe....maybe it's not in this room." he thought. "I need to get out of here."

He sees a hole leading out of the room in the back "maybe I could start there" he thought.

"Where are you going?" Lightning responded following Dusk inside the room.

He looked inside and see the Drowzee inside there. "He must be the one controlling her".

Drowzee was moving his arms like he was dancing.

"Come back here, Dusk!" Lightning spoke.

Dusk charged at Drowzee charging his iron tail.

"No!" Lightning screamed jumping up and hit Dusk's iron tail with her own protecting the rubber case Drowzee was inside used to protect him.

Dusk growled as he charged at the rubber case again.

"No, you don't!" she grabbed his iron tail and he swung her at the case by accident.

Dusk stared at her before looking back at the Drowzee still doing his dance.

Then he realized she made him throw her into the case "Lightning!"

"Uhhh!" She groaned hitting the ground hard. Lightning shook it off and was about to attack him, but her real self tried to keep the attack from hitting him making a thunder shock go in every direction in the room. Dusk used iron tail one more time on the case making it crack a bit the rubber parts getting cut.

"I have to keep trying" Dusk said as he continued to hit the case forming more cracks. Dusk was about to hit it once more when Drowzee manages to regain full control of her body.

Drowzee looked at Dusk in horror.

He charged in once more with Iron tail.

Lightning jumped up and used thunderbolt on Dusk making him fall to the ground, while the glass began to crack even more. "One more hit will destroy the case, I need to be careful" she answered running towards the shocked Dusk on the ground.

"Ngghhh...." his muscles began to twitch from the shock he took from her. "One....more.... hit...." he told himself.

"Uh! He's not gonna give up!" Lightning thought.

She jumped up into the air about to use electro ball. Dusk attempted to use quick attack to avoid it but to no avail. His joints were locked in place; he was paralyzed.

Lightning took this as an opportunity to hit him with electro ball as she released the attack. Dusk was hit in the side by the great ball of electricity, the momentum caused him to slide across the floor and hit the wall.

Dusk's side was covered in ashes, but that didn't stop him from trying to save his mate.

He slowly got to his feet as he tried breaking through the paralysis. Lightning ran towards Dusk with quick attack and slammed right into his burning side.

"Ah...!!" He screamed in agony. He tried to repel her attacks but it was no use. Inferno knew that it was over for him.

Dusk glared at Inferno and back to Lightning. He wasn't going to give up to the very end. At that moment, Dusk finally managed to stand up as he carefully watched Lightning.

Lightning charged another electro ball as she grinned at him evilly. Dusk looked into her dull brown eyes as she glares at him. As soon as she released it, Dusk jumped over both the electro ball and Lightning.

Lightning released another electro ball at him, but he used quick attack to dodge it and used iron tail on the glass.

The glass shattered.

"No!" She yelled.

Drowzee jumped out of the case and landed on the ground.

Dusk stared down Drowzee glaring at him. "Let...my mate.... free.... NOW!"

"Never! She's ours, now" Drowzee replied, "and soon you will be defeated, and never see her again!"

Drowzee moved his arms hypnotizing an Espeon and made her walk towards him.

Dusk charged up shadow ball aiming at Drowzee. "Last warning...FREE HER NOW!!"

"Use psychic, Espeon" he replied.

"Yes master." Espeon replied dully as she used psychic on him locking his joints in place. "Ack!!" His shadow ball dissipated.

"Now Lightning use your electro ball and finish him off" he commanded.

"Yes master" she replied approaching Dusk.

"No...." Dusk thought as he tried moving but Espeon's Psychic held him strong.

"Lightning.... no...." Dusk tried charging shadow ball at Drowzee but Espeon kept squeezing his body disrupting his concentration.

"Who will save you now?" Lightning replied, when suddenly Electra and Chase appeared. "There you two are. We've been looking for you ever since we woke up and realized you were missing" Electra replied. "We followed your paw prints to here" Chase replied.

"What is going on here?" Sparks replied.

"Guys....run...." he choked ".... before Drowzee...gets you...too......"

"Oh my old friends Chase, Electra and Sparks" Lightning replied looking at them.

"Um...? Lightning what's wrong, you're not acting like your cheerful self?" Chase asked.

"Drowzee's....controlling.......her...." Dusk said as Drowzee prepares to control one of them.

"I've changed and now it is your turn to change too" she replied walking towards them.

"Not if we can help it" Sparks replied using quick attack to hold her down.

"Put me down!" Lightning struggled from their grasp.

Drowzee then waves his hands over to Electra as she started to feel woozy. So she fell into a trance as well as Drowzee attempted to hypnotize Chase who was heading to pin Lightning down.

Sparks used thunderbolt on Drowzee stopping him from hypnotizing Chase, but he still kept hypnotizing Electra.

"Come on boys, try to stop us!" Electra replied, and soon did Lightning after she pushed Chase off.

"Yeah, try to stop us" she replied.

Dusk wanted to help them but Espeon held him tight with psychic.

Chase soon recovered onto his feet as he stared at Electra and Lightning grinning evilly at him and Sparks.

"We got to stop them" Sparks replied.

"Yeah, but how are we going to do that without hurting them?" Chase asked.

"By taking out the Espeon and Drowzee" Sparks responded to him.

"Hurry...." Dusk tells them as he felt his body being squeezed tighter. "Oh no you don't!" Electra yelled as she used quick attack on Sparks pushing him away from Drowzee.

"Uhh!" he groaned hitting the wall hard and fell to the ground.

"Electra, stop! Snap out of it!" he spoke.

Electra ignored him and charged at him with quick attack once more.

"Stop!" he yelled, but Electra didn't listen she kept pushing him away.

Until he ran away from her after Drowzee.

As for Chase, he tried to get the Espeon to let go of Dusk, but Lightning used quick attack to push him away, like Electra did.

"Lightning! Stop this now!!" Dusk yelled at her " we don't want to hurt you!!"

"I don't care! You are my master's enemies, and I have to obey him" she replied to Dusk.

Chase tries to take this as an opportunity to strike Espeon and rushes to her.

Chase used iron tail on Espeon making her fall to the ground and letting go of Dusk. He gasped for air in the process.

"Thank you Chase..." Dusk told him weakly. "Anytime D-ACK!!" He was interrupted as he was hit by Espeon's psybeam. "Chase!!" Dusk and Sparks gasped.

Lightning took the opportunity when he was next to Drowzee while he was distracted to use electro ball on him getting a hit on him.

"AHHH!" he screamed in pain.

"Sparks!!" they screamed in terror.

Dusk stared at Electra, Lightning and Espeon who stood between him and Drowzee.

Electra and Lightning got ready to attack with electro ball, while Espeon used psybeam.

Dusk had no choice...he had to defend himself. He charged up shadow ball.

They were hit with the attack and hit the ground.

"Uhhh!" Lightning groaned trying to get back up from the attack.

Dusk turned his attention to Drowzee and charge up another shadow ball with his mouth just as he got up.

"No!" Lightning yelled, but collapsed on the ground again.

Drowzee panics as he looked at Dusk. As he released shadow ball towards him.

"Nooo!" Electra and Lightning screamed trying to get back up, but fell again.

Drowzee was hit. A few seconds, they were freed from the hypnosis at last.

Dusk rushed towards Lightning. "Lightning! Lightning are you ok?!"

"W-What happened?" they asked confused.

"You were all under control of Drowzee over there" Dusk said as he gestured to him.

Chase and Sparks slowly got up on their feet as well.

"W-what?!" they looked at each other in confusion. When Infernape came out from his hiding place in frustration. "Uh! You ruined my plan again!" he yelled, running towards Lightning and grabbed her neck choking her. "I might as well have to kill her then" he yelled.

"No!!" Dusk charged at Infernape.

"D-Dusk!" Lightning coughed, "let me go!" She screamed trying to break free from his grasp.

Infernape simply squeezed tighter as he began crushing her windpipe. Dusk jumped up and tried slamming iron tail on his face.

He used blazing kick and kicked Dusk to the wall.

"Nooo!" Lightning coughed using thunderbolt and he let her go while he was shocked and became paralyzed.

The blaze kick knocked Dusk out cold as he hit the wall. Infernape glares at Lightning as he struggled to move his body.

"Uhhh! You will pay for that, you RAT!!" he screamed.

He ran towards Lightning, but she jumped and used iron tail on him hitting the tip of his nose.

"Gah!" He held his nose in pain before letting go and releasing a powerful flamethrower hitting her.

"Ahhh!" She screamed hitting the ground hard.

"Dusk! Wake up! I need your help, Dusk!" Lightning yelled trying to wake Dusk up.

He was still out cold. Her voice faintly reaches his consciousness. Infernape slowly walks towards her as Sparks and Chase decided to intervene. "Leave her alone!" Sparks cried.

"What are you doing, get away!" Lightning yelled trying to get up but fell to the floor again.

Sparks and Chase tried to attack with quick attack but were both swiftly swatted away with blaze kick.

"Nooo!" Lightning screamed watching them fly right into the wall.

Lightning struggled to get up and looked at him angrily.

Infernape glares back at Lightning as Electra stared at him petrified in fear.

"Uhhh!" Lightning started to growl at him and used quick attack. She tried to kick her with blaze kick again but she jumped in the air and used thunderbolt shocking him again.

"Grrrr!" He growled as he charged at her fighting the paralysis.

Lightning dodged his blazing kick again and used electro ball.

He fell to the ground shocked again.

Dusk slowly regained consciousness with his eyes slowly fluttering open.

He tries using flamethrower, but Lightning swiftly dodged all of them by performing a little dance. She twirled around, jumped and performed flips like a ballerina.

Dusk turned his gaze over to her. He couldn't help but smile at how elegant she looked as she danced in the flames.

It looked like a circus act with a tiger jumping through a hoop made of fire.

Dusk slowly got to his feet as he realized she needed his help.

Lightning used electro ball during her dance and they hit Infernape. She was too fast even for him.

He struggled and fell to his knees as Dusk moved toward her side. "You ok Lightning?"

"Yeah, thank goodness you're alright" she replied.

"Come on, ready for our ultimate attack?" Lightning asked him.

"You know it!" he nodded to her as he charged his shadow ball. "Ready when you are".

He waited for her cue before they tried to use the attack on Infernape once again. "Ready" she replied, when her electro ball was charged up.

"Now!" Dusk yelled as they both fired their attacks, both merging into their signature electro shadow ball.

Infernape watched as the combined attacks speed towards him.

This time Infernape couldn't get up in time before he got hit by the attack. He was hit by the attack hard and he fell to the ground paralyzed and could not get up at all. Lightning thought he was done for, so she looked at Dusk and smiled, but Infernape grinned at her and used flamethrower causing her to get burned and fell to the ground.

"Lightning!!" Dusk screamed in horror and glared at Infernape. Dusk charged another shadow ball up this one twice as large as the previous one and launched it towards Infernape.

The shadow ball came into contact with Infernape.

Infernape was hit hard, but still wouldn't give up.

Lightning managed to get up and used electro ball on him, but Infernape dodged the attack and used flamethrower towards her.

Dusk pushed her out of the way and took the hit. He screamed in pain as he was scorched by the flames.

"Dusk!" she yelled, getting back up and ran toward him still getting harshly burned.

Infernape laughed as he began to get the upper hand again as they were both burnt.

Lightning tried to use electro ball, but was burnt instead.

Infernape ran towards them with poison jab.

Dusk charged up iron tail and went to try to counter his poison jab.

Dusk felt the burn he received and cringed.

The poison jab hit directly on the iron tail and the hit did nothing to any of them.

Infernape tried to use poison jab one more time at him when he flinched with burn and he was hit right in the stomach and became poisoned.

"No!" Lightning screamed in shock while she saw him fall to the ground, poisoned.

Dusk cringed in pain as the poison coursed through his veins. Infernape took this as an opportunity to hit Lightning with poison jab as well.

Lightning flinched but she became so frightened that she used thunderbolt on him and he fell to the ground stuck in paralysis.

Dusk's face went pale and heated up from the poison, he was too weak to move an inch...Infernape was busy fighting the paralysis aiming on grabbing her.

Lightning was captured by him and was thrown into the wall, extremely weak from the hit.

Lightning tried to get back up, but he threw her right next to Dusk.

Dusk stared at her unable to move.

"I guess...this is the end...." Dusk tried uttering to her.

"I... guess...so" Lightning responded.

Infernape was about to use poison jab on Lightning.

Dusk wanted to protect her but Dusk could no longer move. "Lightning......" he whispered to her.

"Yes?" She replied, watching Infernape approach her.

"I.......L-.......-ou...." he tried to say to her.

Infernape gets his paw ready with poison jab as he was a few more steps away from Lightning.

"What?" She asked.

"........!..........!........" he couldn't speak.... his voice failed to leave his mouth as Infernape swung his poison jab at her.

"Ahhhh!" Lightning screamed being attacked by poison jab and was poisoned.

Infernape chuckled as Dusk watched her collapse beside him. He wanted to hold her close to him not letting go.

"Lightning.... no....." Dusk thought as he watched her face flare up from the poison.

Lightning fell on the ground poisoned. "Uhhh!" she groaned.

Infernape watched them on the ground grinning. "And now to let you two suffer".
