Dusk turned around to see Yveltal charging oblivion wing once more at them.

Lightning didn't even see it, instead she tried to calm down the living Pikachu.

"LIGHTNING!  WATCH OUT!!" Dusk yelled out to her just as Yveltal fired the purple beam at them.

She turned around and gasped as soon s she saw the beam approach them. She pushed the Pikachus in front of her out of the way and landed on the ground just an inch from the attack hitting them.

Dusk had dodged as well but Yveltal was out for them and charged another attack.  "RUN!" he yelled out loud as he helped her and the surviving Pikachus to their paws. They ran as fast as their paws could carry and dodged all the attacks Yveltal threw at them.

Dusk found an uprooted tree to their side now petrified that made good cover from Yveltal's sight.  "Quick under there" he said as he pushed them over into that direction under the tree.
They were safe at least for now.

Yveltal searched for them and found no signs of life down under the trees from above. He let out a roar and flew to another part of the forest.  They waited until there was nothing but silence.  "That was close" Dusk said.

"A little too close if you ask me" Lightning replied. "What happened?" she asked the remaining Pikachu.

"It came in so fast he saw us while we did not and blasted most of us into oblivion" the shortest of the Pikachus who was male replied.

Dusk's ears drooped. "Oh Arceus...so it's only the 3 of you left now?" he asked sullenly.

"Yes" they replied, "even Thunder has been turned to stone. We didn't know what to do without our leader when we saw him fall into Yveltal's claws" the bigger male Pikachu replied, "how do we stop it?"

Dusk and Lightning glanced at each other before Dusk turned to the Pikachus.  "The only way I see we can stop Yveltal and freeing the others is by summoning Xerneas".

"Yes, she will stop it" Lightning replied.

"But how are we going to do that, we don't even know where the tree of life is?" The only female Pikachu of the three asked.

Dusk was about to talk when he came to a realization.  "They're right.... we don't know where it is..."

"We got to find it and fast before Yveltal destroys the whole forest and soon the whole region!" Lightning retorted.

"I agree Lightning.  Let's get started in searching" Dusk says to her.

"What about us?" the short male Pikachu asked.

"You can help too. Come on!" Lightning replied.

The Pikachus nod and they began their journey to find the tree of life.  Little did Lightning and Dusk know the grazed hit to their tails in the cave was slowly taking effect in their bodies.

They ran as fast as they could through the forest trying to find the special tree. "What tree are we looking for, there are tons of trees?" The bigger male Pikachu asked on top of a tree branch.

"We are looking for one that is crystal white with an X on the trunk. It does not have any leaves on it and its branches look like Xerneas' antlers" Lightning replied to them.

"Does not have any leaves...." Dusk said quietly. "Wait...I do recall seeing something similar to that in my travels here!!"

"Really?! Where?" she asked jumping up for excitement.

"I think it.... yes! Over there!  Behind that mountain!" Dusk said pointing to a tall ragged mountain.

"Ok, perfect!" Lightning smiled, "let's go".

They all nodded and begin their ascent onto the mountain.  By the time they climb above the trees, they turn around to see the forest. Now fully petrified.

"Arceus no....." Dusk whispered as he gazed at the forest.  It was like an exact image of his nightmare.

"Oh no, it's too late Yveltal has taken over the whole forest, next is the whole region!" Lightning cried, frightened. Suddenly she spotted a white light coming from the right side behind them. "What is that?" she asked.

Dusk turned around to see the white light as well.  "I-I don't know..." he answered.

The 3 other Pikachus glanced at the light as well.

"We should go see what it is. It could be the tree of life being that it's the only bright light object around here now" Lightning replied.

"Agreed.  Let's go bef-" Dusk was interrupted by Yveltal's roar as he swooped by them.  "OH NO!  We're exposed up here!!  Scatter so he can't focus on all of us!!"

Lightning ran as fast as she could with the 3 remaining Pikachus running in all directions. "We have to get to the tree of life!" she yelled. Yveltal heard her talk about the Pokémon that once defeated it before and it roared in rage.

One of the Pikachus which was the shorter male trips on a rock and he falls.  The second Pikachu who was the female turns around and notices.  "Sparks!  No!!!" She cried.  "Just leave me!  Keep go-" he was cut off as he was hit with oblivion wing.

"Nooo!" she yelled. He was slowly turning into stone.

"Goodbye Electra" he spoke sadly. "NOO! Please Sparks we got to stop this together, we have to get through this together! Please don't leave me!" she yelled tears flowing down her cheeks.

He gave Electra one last look of sorrow as he completely turned to stone.

"NOOO!" she squealed running towards his statue and hugging him. Lightning looked at her in tears. She put her paw on her back and say, "it's going to be alright, Electra we'll save him. We just got to awaken Xerneas first" she replied to her.

The third Pikachu who was the taller male panics "guys!?   Yveltal's coming back!"  He shouts as Yveltal fires another blast towards Electra.

Lightning leaped towards her and pushed her out of the way just in time before she was hit by the blast.

Yveltal comes around for another pass.

Dusk spotted a cave up the mountain. "Quick!  Let's hurry to that cave!" he yells.  "All the way up there!?!?!? We'll never make that!" The taller male Pikachu cried.  "It's either that or we spend the rest of our lives as statues up here!" he protested, "now let's go!!"

"Ok" they replied and ran up the hill dodging every oblivion wing, Yveltal shot at them.

They managed to make it inside the cave as Yveltal let out another roar of rage.

"We are lucky that the gap is very small that Yveltal can't get in" Lightning replied.

"What about the tree of life?" Electra asked.

"We'll get to it.  We just have to....to...." Lightning and Dusk started feeling a wave of fatigue from the effects.

Lightning passed out on the ground her tail starting to turn into stone very slowly that it was only the tip.

Dusk tried his hardest to stay awake as he collapsed beside Lightning with the tip of his tail slowly turning to stone as well.  "Lightning!!  Dusk!!" Electra and the tall Pikachu cried not noticing their tails.

"What was happening to us" Lightning thought inside her mind.

"I feel so weak and stiff all of a sudden..." Dusk thought to himself.  He turned his gaze toward to Lightning.

"I can't feel my tail...I feel like I am slowly turning into stone like in my nightmare" Lightning thought to herself.

"Oh my Arceus, what is happening to them? How did this happen?" Lightning could hear the two Pikachus saying.

"What did happen to us?" she thought. Suddenly, she felt a shock.

Dusk's vision blurred, he was fluctuating in and out of consciousness as the two Pikachus panicked.  "That shot in the cave.... we must have both been hit by that attack.... our fates have been sealed...just like my nightmare..." he thought.

"Just like in my nightmare" she whispered.

Electra was now in full panic.  "What do we do now Chase!?  Lightning and Dusk are out?!?!"

Dusk could feel his tail growing number as the time went by, dread hovered over him.  They failed to make their goal.  So close yet so far away.  They were already drained of their strength to press on further.  Soon this will be their fate, cursed to live as statues of themselves for the rest of their lives.

"I don't know! Maybe we should keep using thunderbolt on them until they wake up. That's all I can think of" he replied.

"Ok. We'll try a couple more times, but if they don't wake up we have to think of another plan, agreed?" Electra asked Chase. "Agreed" Chase nodded and they used thunderbolt on them again.

Dusk felt a shock of pain as he was slowly brought back into consciousness.  "Again!" he heard Chase say.

They were trying to wake them up, but they still did not awaken. "Again!" Chase repeated to Electra. "CHOOOO!" she yelled using thunderbolt again and again and they still did not wake up.

"It's not working!" she panted out of exhaustion.

Electra and Chase shock them one more time with thunderbolt hoping for the best.

Dusk managed to wake up from the shocks but he was extremely weak.  "Electra.......Chase...." he called out to them weakly.

"Finally one of them woke up" they smiled with joy hugging Dusk. Lightning was still laying on the ground unconscious.

Lightning's tail was fully turned to stone now.

Dusk's tail was almost fully turned into stone "guys.... you.... you have to get to the tree of life.... it's all up to you now...." he told them.

"What! We can't do it alone, Yveltal is still out there terrorizing the forest and trying to put us all to justice!" Chase yelled. "Yeah, you can't just put us in danger we have to work together!" Electra replied.

"It's....too late......for us.......now......" Dusk said as his tail was now fully turned into stone.

"You guys......are our.......our hope. Now........" he told them.

"But...we can't" they replied trembling in fear. Lightning finally gained consciousness again. "W-What happened...I feel s-so weak" she replied struggling to her feet. "Oh my Arceus! My tail is turning into stone!" she screeched staring at her lightning bolt shaped tail, horrified.

"Lightning!!" they all yelled out excluding Dusk as his voice came out raspy.  "Lightning...." he said as he tried crawling to her.

"D-Dusk..." Lightning replied weakly.

He made his way beside her, his body slightly on top of hers, "this is it.... for us...." he says sullenly.

Their legs begin to slowly turn to stone.

Lightning nodded tears going to her red cheeks. Now half of her body was turned into stone feeling numb.

"Please...go find the tree of life with them you are the only one that can still walk. Just take this" she spoke giving him a Rawst berry, realizing that his back paws were already turning to stone.

Tears stream down his face as well as rolling down his brown furred cheeks.  "I.....never got....to tell you...." he said as his lower half of his body has turned into stone.  "Lightning......I..... I......."

Electra and Chase watch in sorrow as they become statues before them.

"I can't......Lightning...." he tells her as he placed a paw on the berry.

They started to break up into tears. "W-We will try" they sniffed.

They gave them the berry.  "You two.... should hurry......Yveltal....will leave.... soon......." he tells them.

"Ok" They nodded taking the berry while their bodies were completely turned to stone.

They ran across the tall stony grass staying in low.

"I never got to tell her that I loved her...." Dusk thought as they both were frozen staring out at the cave entrance.

"I never thought that my life would end like this" Lighting thought sadly.

Little did they know they were being watched by Primape and his Mankeys. "Hehehe look at what we have here" he said as he approached them.

"That voice.... no..... don't tell me they found the tree of life!!" Dusk dreaded in his thoughts.

"Oh no... Not those crazy Pokémon again" Lightning thought. "What are they doing here, looking for the tree of life, now? I hope they will be turned to stone soon".

"Stay away from us.... you're not taking her from me again!!" Dusk thought.

"I wish I could move so then I could beat the bananas out of them, again" Lightning thought.

"Well hello there miss" he says as he places his large mittened hand upon Lightning's cheek.  "Why the sad face?  It doesn't suit a pretty girl like yourself"

"Stop touching her!" Dusk yelled in his thoughts futilely trying to launch shadow ball at him.

"Let go of me, you creep!" Lightning thought attempting to use electro ball.

"Hmmm," he looks toward Dusk.  "Infernape told us to leave you both to rot, but I think I'll keep your girlfriend here as my personal trophy.    She's too cute to be left alone with the likes of you" he said as he slowly pushes Dusk off of her.

"What no! Dusk!" Lightning screamed trying to run away from his grasp but unable to free herself from her stone prison. "Oh I hope Electra and Chase find the tree of life soon" she thought begging.

"Lightning!  No!" Dusk tried to reach out for her but to no avail.  "Such a gorgeous Pikachu," Primape said as he carries her away bridal style back into his lair.  "Lightning...." Dusk felt nothing but despair as he watched her be taken away from him......"just like my nightmare...." he whispered in his thoughts.

"No Dusk...Nooo!" Lightning tried to yell.

"Lightning...." Dusk whispered quietly in his mind as he laid in the cave, cold and alone.  He began to weep in his thoughts, fearing that he'll never see her ever again.

"Oh I hope Electra and Chase will find the tree of life soon?" Lightning thought.

Meanwhile with Electra and Chase they continued climbing to the white light as Electra started becoming tired.  "Chase .... can we.... take a break?" She panted in exhaustion.

Electra struggled to keep up with Chase.

"No, we can't stop now, we're almost to the tree of life. We can't rest out here when Yveltal is on the loose. We are Lightning, Dusk, our Pokémon family and all the Pokémon and humans in the world's only hope to survive" Chase responded to her, begging her to keep going.

Electra tried motivating herself to continue but collapsed from exhaustion "I can't...I can't do it Chase...."

Suddenly, Yveltal spotted her and charged his oblivion wing again.

Chase panicked. "Electra!  Look out behind you!!!"  He yells just as he fires at her.  Electra turned around to see the purple beam approach her. unable to react in time she watches as it comes close to sealing her fate.

Chase pushed her out of the way saving her from the blast landing on top of her. "Y-You saved me" she said astonished, her eyes glowing like diamonds.

Chase looked back at her.  "I couldn't lose you too Electra, I already lost my big brother, I cannot bear with losing you too," he told her softly.

Chase still remained on Electra for a moment.

Suddenly, they saw the white light glow more brightly. "The tree of life" she whispered. Chase looked at the bright light as well seeing a big crystal white tree branch where he was laying. "There it is! We've found the tree of life" they spoke standing up and looking at the beautiful sight.

Yveltal tried to fire another oblivion wing, but they dodged it and ran towards the tree of life.

Chase held Electra's paw tightly as they rush towards the tree of life. "We're almost there Electra!" Chase yelled out to her. They continue to dodge the barrage of oblivion wing swiftly.  "We're gonna make it!" Electra said cheerfully.  But just as they were about to touch the tree of life a powerful flamethrower cuts them off creating a firewall between them.

"No!" they yelled.

"At last.  We've finally obtained the tree of life," Infernape says as he jumps down to the other side of the firewall.  "Now nothing will stand in Yveltal's way on his conquest of destruction" he crackled.

"What are you doing?! Do you know that you are destroying the region and putting yourselves at risk, you need to stop this, now!" they replied.

"Hehehe....I know." He replied. "This world deserves to burn along with all the "innocence" it holds.  Soon we will have a new era upon us.  An era where only the strongest may live!"

"You idiot!  There will be nothing left in this world if you continue!!"  Electra shouted.

"That's what you think," Infernape replies as Yveltal hovers above all of them.

"Please let us summon Xerneas and bring peace to this world once again or suffer being turned to stone. Everything you know and love will be gone forever if you don't stop this before Yveltal destroys everything and turn it into dull gray rocks and stones" Electra shouted.

Infernape laughs.  "Maybe that's exactly what I want for this world..."

"You want to destroy yourself, so be it" they yelled being blasted by oblivion wing and started to turn into stone very slowly.

"W-what...?" Chase uttered with fear in his voice.  "HEAR ME YVELTAL!  I AM INFERNAPE AND I HAVE SUMMONED YOU TO REIGN OVER THIS PATHETIC WORLD!" Infernape yelled out.  Yveltal let out a roar.  "I HAVE SPARED YOU THE SUMMONING OF XERNEAS AND I WISH FOR YOU TO DESTROY THE REST OF THIS PATHETIC WORLD!"

Yveltal let out another roar as he stared at the Infernape deciding whether or not to spare him from the deed he has done.

"Please, let us summon Xerneas! Please!" she begged half of their body turning into stone, tears in her eyes.

"You don't know what you are doing...." Chase struggle to utter as his chest turns to stone.

"Please, you have to listen to us!" Electra yelled.

Yveltal started to charge up his oblivion wing.

Infernape just laughs at her pleas as their necks become stone.

"Today is the day the world as we know it ends" Infernape utters.

"No!" they yelled. Yveltal looks at Electra and Chase then turns to look at Infernape still charging up his oblivion wing beam.

Infernape still laughs at the Pikachus as their voices become locked in their mouths unable to plead for Xerneas's awakening.

Tears continued to pour from Electra's face in her final seconds being flesh and blood.  Chase also began to cry as well.  They had failed.  The world will soon become stone.

"Please Xerneas, please wake up" they begged, just before they fully turned to stone.

Suddenly, the tree of life began to glow brighter.

Infernape turned around to see the tree glow brighter as Electra and Chase are fully petrified "What!?  NO!!!!"

Yveltal stood there with shock, while the tree of life transformed back into Xerneas, the life Pokémon. Yveltal fired his oblivion wing, but she countered it with aurora beam.

Yveltal let out a screech of rage at Xerneas.

Xerneas prepares another aurora beam when she is suddenly hit with poison jab by Infernape.  "You shall not save this world!" Infernape yelled.

Yveltal used dark pulse, but Xerneas countered it with megahorn and used moonblast on Yveltal giving out damage to him.

Infernape flanked Xerneas with another poison jab to her side, dealing a strong blow against her.

Yveltal took this as an opportunity to attack and fire oblivion wing at Xerneas.

Xerneas used moonblast once again on Yveltal and gave some more damage to him. She hit Infernape with outrage and did a good amount of damage on him.

Infernape growled at her as she stares him down with a disgruntle stare.  Suddenly she winces in pain as the venom courses through her body.

Infernape then charges at Xerneas punching her square in the chin with another poison jab.

"Ahhhhh!" she screams feeling the pain from the poison jab.

She looks at the two Pikachu standing behind her frozen in their statue prison. She tried to attack longer for the Pokémon who were statues, she fought against the poison and used outrage and did some more damage on Yveltal.

Infernape became enraged.  "Stand down you overgrown Deerling!" He shouts as he engulfs her with flamethrower. Yveltal backs off from the fight as he sees a flock of fletchlings attempt to flee.  He uses oblivion wing and sweeps across them turning them all into stone and regaining his health back as he prepared to do the same to the injured deer of life.

"You're outmatched Xerneas.  This world belongs to us now." Infernape taunted the life giver.

"I'll defeat... you...both" she spoke weakly.

Infernape laughs, "I'd love to see you try," he says as he hit's her once more with poison jab causing her to stagger on the ground.  As she struggled to get up Yveltal fired oblivion wing at her with his regained strength.

"Huh!" she gasped jumping out of the way, struggling to get back up.

Yveltal took this as a divine opportunity to strike her with oblivion wing once more, unable to get up in time she is engulfed by the attack.

"Ahhh!" she screamed again.

Yveltal pressed on with his attack growing stronger every second as he sucked out Xerneas's remaining life force.

"Ahhh!" she screams in pain even more. Unable to fight back.

Arceus appeared from another dimension. Knowing that something was wrong. He saw that Xerneas was on the stony ground defeated by her arch enemy, Yveltal. He flew towards them and asked, "what happened here?!, in his strong god-sounding voice.

Xerneas couldn't respond.  She was too fatigued from the attacks and the poison coursing through her veins.

"SOMEBODY ANSWER ME, NOW!" he demanded in a booming voice.

Infernape was shocked. He did not expect Arceus to appear before his very eyes.

Yveltal, simply roared in rage.

"SOMEBODY ANSWER ME RIGHT NOW!!" Arceus yelled again.

Silence reigns once more as his voice echoes through the land.  "What was that...?" Dusk thought.

"Huh...Where did that come from?" Lightning thought in Primape's lair.

"A-Arceus" Xerneas finally spoke weakly.

"Xerneas. What happened?" his voice became calm.
