10 (Gill)

Ty had told me that he was still in love with me, which was understandable, and made sense, but he also told me, though I think accidently, that he had a bit of a crush on Mike too. I suppose I had reason to be upset about this, and almost anyone else probably would have been, but I wasn't upset at all. In fact, I was kind of excited. A little after Ty had come back from the dead, I had talked to Steven about how I was still in love with Ty too, but I had zero intentions of leaving Mike, and would have rather all three of us just date each other. I wanted to bring this up to Mike and Ty, but I hadn't had an opportunity until Ty felt the need to share his feelings with me. After that, I knew that I had to talk to Mike, and I made the decision to do so when we were getting ready for bed one night.

"Hey Mike?" I asked, kind of tentatively because I felt nervous.

"Yeah?" Mike asked kindly, pulling his sleep shirt over his head, and sitting on the bed with me, turning so that we faced each other.

"Remember when you and I said that if either one of us was thinking about something important a lot, we would talk to one another about it?"

"Yeah. Is there something you want to tell me? I'm happy to listen."

"Ok, this is going to take a little bit of explaining, so please bear with me here. So, Ty came to me a little while ago and told me that, not only is he still in love with me, but he also has a crush on you. Now, before you say anything, I want to tell you that I'm still in love with Ty too, but that doesn't mean that I don't love you.

"I love you so much, because you treat me so well, and make me so happy. You're such a handsome and beautiful man, and I'm so happy to be in a relationship with you, and I wouldn't trade you for anything in the world. You're just such a great person who deserves to have the best boyfriend that's out there, and-"

"Wait, Gill, is this a long winded way of you breaking up with me, but trying to let me down easy?" Mike interrupted, looking worried and sad, but understanding, and causing me to panic.

"Absolutely not! Actually, it's the opposite in a way." I responded, causing Mike to look at me in confusion.

"You're going to...start dating me even harder?"

"Not exactly."

"Then what?"

"Ok, so like I said, Ty is in love with me, has a crush on you, and I'm in love with both of you. Now, I've had this thought for a while, and I was wondering how you would feel about being in a poly relationship with you, me, and Ty?

"Before you answer, please know that I'm not asking about this because I'm unhappy in our relationship, because I promise I'm not. And if you want to say no, that is completely ok, I won't be upset at all, and I won't love you any less." Mike was quiet for a little bit, and I could tell that he was thinking. It was only for a few seconds, but those few seconds made me incredibly anxious, and I was about to explode by time Mike finally responded.

"I think I would be ok with that." Mike told me with a smile.

"Really? You're not just saying that because you think I'll be upset if you don't right?" I asked.

"No, I'm not." Mike responded, reaching over to pull me into his lap and cuddle me close against him. "I really like Ty, and I really love you. I would be happy to date Ty, and I'm already happy dating you."

"Ok. We should talk to Ty. But I think that can wait until tomorrow." After that, Mike and I went to bed.

Talking to Ty to ask him if he wanted to be in a relationship with both Mike and I was a little nerve wracking, to say the least. I was worried that Ty would reject us, and then hate both of us for the rest of his life. And I was worried that if Ty did reject us, Mike would break up with me, because he didn't want to be with me if he couldn't be with Ty too. However, despite my anxiety, Mike and I both managed to get Ty alone, and sat down with him to talk to him.

"Ty, Mike and I talked, and we would like to ask you something." I said, nervously twiddling my thumbs.

"Ok. What's up?" I could tell that Ty was nervous too. He probably thought that we were mad at him for him telling me about his feelings towards the both of us, but that couldn't be further from the truth.

"We wondering if you would be interested in dating us, and being our boyfriend." Ty looked surprised, but not upset, which was a good sign.

"...Are you guys sure you want that?" Ty eventually asked.

"Yes we are. We talked about it, and thought about it for a little while, and we would both like to include you in our relationship. If that's something you would be interested in." Mike responded with a comforting smile.

"Um...yeah. I think that would be nice." Ty smiled brightly at Mike and I, and we both smiled brightly back.

I was very happy to then have two boyfriends, who were also my best friends, and amazing people. I was so lucky. My friends, now my boyfriends, were both such great people, and I already knew that I was going to be incredibly happy with them. I was really looking forward to my future with both Mike and Ty as my boyfriends.

My happiness was short lived though.

Eventually, everyone else finally agreed that we needed to do something about Aristatch. I had a hard time convincing everyone else, especially Ty, that we didn't actually need to hurt Aristatch as much as try to help her, but I was pretty sure I at least made them all think about whether or not they first thing they were going to do was fight.

Finding Aristatch was, again, not a difficult task. She was big, blue, and gaining a lot of attention because of it. So she was fairly easy to locate. When we found her, Aristatch was doing whatever she could to get some food, including asking some locals where she could find some, but the never answered her, being either too afraid, or too shocked.

"Aristatch!" I called out as Ty, April, Ben, and I all approached Aristatch. We were all in full gear, but not getting ready to fight, so when Aristatch turned around to face us, she simply crouched down to be level with us, and didn't try to hurt anyone.

"What do you want?" Aristatch growled, understandably being rude.

"Are you hungry?" I asked.

"Are you wanting to help me?" Aristatch asked, looking surprised.

"If I can. Do you eat meat?"

"Yes. Though I don't think you have the animals here that I am used to.

"Probably not, but we do have already dead animals that you can eat here. Do you cook your food?"

"No."

"Ok. Hey Ben." I turned to Ben, who stepped closer after I called out to him. "Can you please go to the nearest store and get some raw meat?"

"Yeah, I can do that." Ben responded before turning to leave and do as I had asked.

"Why would you help me?" Aristatch asked.

"Because you're hurting. You need help."

"The only thing that will help me is killing you!" Without warning, Aristatch swung one of her monstrous claws at me, and scratched me, only ripping my suit and cutting my skin a little. Despite the fact that it was just a small cut, the rest of Light Force still immediately attacked.

April hit Aristatch with an onslaught of vines, wrapping her up in thorns, and swinging large vines at her with great force. Ty, on the other hand, used any vines and rubble that he could to climb higher and higher until he was up higher than Aristatch. From there, Ty jumped down at Aristach's head, and whacked her with his batons, putting all the momentum he had gained in the fall into the swing.

Aristatch groaned, and just started fighting harder. She was cutting us up, and throwing us around, really making us work to stay standing. By the time Ben got back from the store with an armful of raw meat, we were all breathing deeply, and trying our damned best to stay alive and keep fighting. I was doubled over with my hands on my knees, breathing deeply as I turned my head slightly to look up at Ben, practically begging for help without actually saying it.

Ben dropped the meat he was carrying, and rushed over to me, crashing into me a little as he came over to help me while I wiped the blood that was dripping out of my nose with the back of my gloved hand. Ben helped me stand up straight, and just looked me up and moved my arms so that I was resting them on top of my head to open my airways and make it easier for my to catch my breath.

"What happened? I thought we were trying to help her?" Ben asked, looking around at the others.

"We were, but she attacked me anyway." I responded, looking out at where Ty collapsed to his knees, and April produced plants with everything she had, clearly getting too tired and injured to continue on for much longer. I looked back to Ben, filling with worry. "I don't think we can beat her Ben."

Ben looked around for a moment, looking as hopeless as I felt, and letting a few tears fall past his eyes. Then, I watched as Ben's gaze settles on a piece of a building that had fallen on a metal bar, which was sticking up in the air, making it look almost like a catapult. Ben's eyes lit up as he got an idea, then he turned to me excitedly.

"I have an idea. Aristatch is already weekend from you guys, and I think I know how to beat her." Ben told me.

"How?" I asked, willing to try anything.

"Just trust me." Ben ran over to Ty, and pulled him back to where I was, then pulled me over to where the piece of rubble he was staring at was. Ben ran back over to Ty, and began to unwind the chain of his outfit off of him, revealing that it was exceptionally long, and attached to the center of his back.

"I need you to hold onto this chain, and please, please, do not let it go under any circumstances." Ben told Ty seriously, looking him dead in the eyes as he wrapped the end of the chain around Ty's hand a few times.

"Why?" Ty asked, holding tightly onto the chain anyway.

"Just don't let it go." Then Ben turned to me, prepared to give me my own task to complete. "When I say, I need you to grab that piece of rubble, and throw it up at me as hard as you can. I know you're tired, and it's going to be hard, but this may be our only chance to beat her."

"Ok." I told Ben, nervous about what he had planned. Ben nodded gratefully, then pulled off his gloves, and his boots.

With nothing to weigh him down, Ben began floating up into the air, surprising Ty. He moved slowly, but before too long, he reached the end of his chain, and was left tethered to the world. As Ben had gotten higher, clouds moved quickly to cover the sky as if gravitated to him, and it began to rain like crazy. Ben looked down at Aristatch, who was still being help off pretty well by April, then down at me, looking as if he was making a rough estimation of whether or not his plan would actually work.

I was watching Ben closely, not willing to take my eyes off of him, and pretty soon, Ben waved at me, giving me the signal. I picked up the large piece of rubble, and tried to gather as much momentum as I possibly could before hurling it at Ben. I was surprised to find that the rubble reached Ben just fine, and watched as he clasped his hands together, and wound them back behind his head to hit the rubble back down and at Aristatch, but i was even more surprised when I heard an unfamiliar voice from nearby.

"Do you guys need any help?" A man's voice called out kindly. Ty, April, and I all turned to look at him, and found that he was staring up at Aristatch, and looking entirely out of place.

"Get out of here!" April yelled at him, and I looked up at Ben just in time to watch him hit the rubble down as hard as he possibly could.

"No!" I yelled, knowing that the random man was going to get hurt, because he was far too close to Aristatch. I tried to get to him in time to do something, but I was too late, and I was shrouded in dust as the rubble hit Aristatch and burst, causing her to fall forward. I continued on through the dust, trying to see if I could find out if he man was ok, but I had no clue where I was going.

When the dust cleared, I was astonished to find the man holding Aristatch up. Actually, there where about ten of the man holding Aristatch up, and keeping her from crushing them. I didn't know what to do next, so I just watched as all of the man pushed Aristatch off of them, then turned to face me. Everyone of their faces split into an identical grin when they saw me staring at them in confusion, then all but on of them began to shine brightly, and zip back into the original man.

"Are you ok?" I called out to the man.

"I'm all aces. What about you?" The man asked in response. Before I got the chance to reply, Ty tackled the man to the ground.
