The lights flicker
The dark grows thicker
We reach to touch the light
That single gleam in the night

The light is far away
Even in the middle of the day
The sun rises and falls
To the light I call

I plead for the light to come back
But all I see is black
There is no light in the sky
I try to hold back my cries

The sky is black and white
And wrong mixes with right
Still it remains grey
I look to the sky and pray

But I pray in vain
As I sit in the rain
I close my door
And don't hope anymore

I close my curtains
Left alone to carry my burdens
I cry for the light to come back
But all I see is black
