"With Blair's boyfriend Nate helping to close up the family yacht for the season.

Blair is free to focus on the most important event of the fall: her annual sleepover.

A tradition since the year 2000, each one more decadent than the last, no expense or reputation is spared.

With everything from trundle beds to truffles in place all that's missing is the sleepover stars and Waldorf BFF's, Kennedy and Serena van Der Wooden."

KENNEDY WALKS INTO THE KITCHEN of the apartment suite looking for breakfast since she's a little peckish and doesn't want to be hungry while studying in second period at school.

Shrugging to herself and grabbing an apple and rushing out of the apartment waving goodbye to her mother in the process of pressing the elevator bottom closed.

Kennedy sighs rushing into the school courtyard seeing Serena talking with Jenny in the hallways.

"Hey S, Jen" Kennedy smiles standing next to the two of them knowing Serena is nervous for her date with Dan.

"Hey" both blondes reply at the same time as another, "I need answers, and I need them now, your brother is being mysterious about our date tonight" Serena explains.

"He's a very mysterious guy, apparently" Jenny laughs, "He won't even tell me where we're going, can you just give me a hint? Are we going to some secret club to see the best unsigned band in Brooklyn? Or-or a guerrilla art exhibit in Dumbo? Oh hey, isn't the New York Film Festival still going on?" Serena rambles in question walking alongside Jenny and Kennedy.

"You don't leave room for surprise, do you?" Jenny frowns, "No she doesn't, but hey, I gotta run, talk soon" Kennedy smiles rushing off to class since Nate isn't in New York the brunette has been bored out of her mind.

KENNEDY POUTS SEEING THE text message of her little brother about not being let out for the weekend.

He couldn't wait to catch up with her since the brunette isn't going to Blair's sleepover this year due to some 'personal' issues coming up.

"Miss Van Der Woodsen, off your phone!" Mrs Randall exclaims looking at the girl.

"Sorry" Kennedy chuckles continuing taking notes so she isn't being yelled at the teacher again.

Eventually class ends and Kennedy rushes out of the classroom with a smirk on her face ready to go Eric and cheer him up since the news earlier.

"K!" Blair shouts capturing the girls attention, "What's up, B?" Kennedy frowns.

"Just double checking you're still not able to make it to my sleepover tonight?" Blair wonders.

"Uhh-no sorry, I have a bunch of late assignments and plus we haven't really seen eye to eye lately, but have fun girls!" Kennedy states looking at the followers who follow Blair and sometimes her around non stop smiling at her.

"K! You never miss my sleepovers, are you okay?" Blair pouts, Kennedy sighs pushing her loose strand of hair out of her face.

"B, I can't make it, I'm sorry, I have plans" Kennedy explains noticing the look of hurt flash through Blair's eyes.

The girl nods nonetheless and accepts defeat of her two best friends not attending and hopefully making Jenny's night one to remember.

RUSHING INTO THE CLINIC looking forward to seeing Eric, "Hey E, you doing okay?" Kennedy questions walking into the hospital room seeing Eric staring at the wall annoyed.

"Kenny! Yay, you're here" Eric smiles looking at his older sister.

"Okay so what are we doing for the next few hours until I have to return home for my studies?" Kennedy smiles sitting beside the blonde boy on the bed.

"Let's just talk, I miss talking to someone other than my doctors" Eric states seeing Kennedy and nod.

"What do you want to talk about little E?" Kennedy questions.

"You and Nate, how's that going?" Eric smirks seeing Kennedy blush at the mention of the Archibald boy.

"We're good, he's still dating Blair though" Kennedy shrugs not sounding too impressed.

"And let me guess, you don't like that and you want him to yourself?" Eric inquires smirking seeing Kennedy's shocked face.

"Jesus E!" Kennedy chuckles sighing at the time knowing she has to leave.

After saying her farewells to her little brother and leaving the clinic frowning at the sudden whistle coming from across the road.

"Well, well-well, if it isn't Kennedy van Der Woodsen, miss me?" A taunting voice is heard sending shivers down Kennedy's spine.

"Asher, what the hell are you doing here?" Kennedy gasps, "Seeing someone who up and left me after I apparently cheated on you" Asher smirks seeing Kennedy gulp.

"Ugh-because you did, three times!" Kennedy exclaims annoyed with the male.

"Oh please, I didn't cheat on you" Asher taunts seeing Kennedy roll her eyes and begin to walk off in the opposite direction.

"Leave me alone Asher!" Kennedy exclaims seeing the tall male walking beside her, "You scared of me, princess?" Asher smirks.

"No, I just want you to leave to me alone" Kennedy scoffs waving down a cab to try and distance herself from the dirty blonde male.

Sitting in the cab, Kennedy gulps breathing out deeply after the recent conversation with her abusive ex boyfriend Asher Kensington.

"Thanks for the ride" Kennedy smiles passing the driver some cash getting out and practically running into the hotel where she's living praying Asher didn't follow her home.

KENNEDY SITS ON HER BED staring out of her bedroom door calming down her breathing still from earlier with Asher.

Kennedy flinches hearing her phone ring in her lap, said girl looks at the caller ID smiling seeing Nate's name flashing across the screen.

"Hey" Kennedy tiredly answers just wanting to hear her best friend's voice, "Hey, you okay Kens?" Nate asks hearing the exhaustion in Kennedy's voice.

Kennedy hums, "Yeah, I'm okay, just ran into an old-friend" Kennedy explains gagging at the friend reference thinking about Asher being considered a friend.

"Let me guess, Asher Kensington?" Nate wonders, Kennedy sighs hearing fidgeting on the other line.

"Nate, what are you doing?" Kennedy wonders not answering the question.

"Lying down so you can fall asleep on the phone to me and not be alone with your thoughts for the rest of the night" Nate explains hearing a soft giggle on the other line.

"Thanks Natey" Kennedy mumbles with smile on her face adjusting her position in her bed and getting comfortable enough to fall asleep with her 'best friend' on the phone.

"All good, gorgeous" Nate's soft voice is heard as the brunette begins falling into slumber feeling relaxed.

"Word is Jenny Humphrey killed at Blair Waldorf's sleepover, it was a debut the likes of which haven't been seen since Blair herself.

If Blair's gotta watch her back, Serena and Kennedy need to keep an eye on their hearts, we hear they may be stolen by Lonely Boy and Prince Charming themselves.

Be careful K, you never know who's lurking in the shadows and the saying about what happens in the past may catch up to you
