"Asher, if you or your dumbass friends ruin this promposal, I will kill you. All of you."
Luna stared the brunette down with a menacing look in her eyes. While he cowered in fear, holding one out of the five posters that spelled out the word "prom?". Luna had come up with the whole promposal on the football field and roped in Asher, JJ, Butler, and some other random guy from the team to hold up individual poster boards that spelled out the word prom and she'd be holding up the question mark.
"You're scary," Asher squeaked out. "Please, stop looking at me like that."
"Why are we doing this on the football field?" JJ wondered. "Is this some kinky football player-cheerleader thing you and Jordan are into?"
"Ew, no!" Luna crinkled her nose. "It's symbolic. He'll understand...hopefully."
"And how exactly will Jordan know to come here?" Butler questioned.
"Oh, my God!" she groaned, throwing her hands up in frustration. "How many times do I have to go over this? I bribed one of the office attendants to slip a note into his class, telling him to report to the football field, immediately. So, if my bribery has paid off, Rosa in the office should be texting me...now! And Jordan should be on his way, soon. So, get in position, boys!"
The four boys straightened up their posture, immediately lifting the posters into their hands because an angry Luna Ramirez was not someone they wanted to deal with it. While Luna moved next to Asher and picked up the poster that contained the question mark on it and stood all the way at the end.
Once the note hit Jordan's desk, confusion flooded his features considering that the football season had been over for a while and there was no sane reason for him to be called there. But, he packed up his things and headed straight for the football field. And right when he saw the prom sign he was even more confused not wanting his girlfriend to kick his ass if she had heard some other girl had asked him but then he got even closer and spotted Luna all the way at the end.
Jordan let out a small laugh, approaching her with his hands on his hips. "What's all this?"
"Jordan Baker," Luna giggled. "Will you go to prom with me?"
"With you, Luna Ramirez? Yes, my answer is yes," Jordan knocked the question mark out of her hand and pulled her off of her feet, twirling her around a bit. "Wow! Who knew my girl was capable of being cheesy?"
"Can we leave now?" Asher deadpanned, dropping his poster. "No need to remind us how single we are."
"Thanks for doing this!" Luna called out after the boys. "I owe you!"
"Why are we on the football field?" Jordan asked, tilting his head to the side. "Of all places?"
"It's symbolic, dude," JJ scoffed, shaking his head. "Even I knew that."
"What he said," Luna groaned. "This..." she gestured to the football field. "Is where you asked me to be your girlfriend for the first time after you guys won state. So, I thought it'd be all cute and sentimental."
"I'm kind of upset you asked me," Jordan frowned, resting his hands on her hips. "Because when you get home you'll find a canvas in your art room with "prom?" written on it. But if this were a competition, you definitely won."
"This whole thing involved bribery and scheming," Luna scoffed, flipping her hair over her shoulder. "Of course, I won. And I will make sure you have the best prom ever."
"Don't I have the best girlfriend in the world?" Jordan smirked down at her. "Wanna start the afterparty early?"

The news of prom getting canceled had quickly spread around like wildfire. But, Principal Carter had so graciously stepped in and agreed to allow the Beverly High students to crash their prom with the exception that they helped with setting up the gym. Which they didn't mind except for the minor detail about Chris Jackson being a promzilla and wanting everything to be perfect.
Nonetheless, they assisted with the decorations and all of that and the following day was prom. Luna had informed her parents that she'd be getting ready with Liv at the Baker's and that they'd be able to take all of their photos once they arrived at the cafe.
Luna walked up to their driveway with her garment bag that contained her prom dress tucked safely in the crook of her arm as she approached the Baker's front door and let herself into the house. And when she walked in the house to find three generations of Baker men dancing in the living room, she was definitely surprised.
"Oh," Jordan cleared his throat, glancing at the amused girl by the staircase. "Hey, sweetheart."
"Hey, Jordan," she giggled, sending him a small wave. "You Baker men sure do know how to get down."
"There's more where that came from," Billy chuckled.
"Okay," she laughed, uncomfortably. "I'll be upstairs getting ready with Liv."
"Can I see your dress?" Jordan questioned. "You've been holding out on me."
"Hmm?" she playfully tapped her chin. "No. Bye!"
The two girl's deciding on getting ready together was their way of catching up and keeping their friendship alive. Despite their closeness for years, ever since they've both gotten into relationships, it's definitely been harder finding time to spend with each other. Since they were always preoccupied with their boyfriends.
Liv stood behind her friend, assisting her with her hair while a soft smile tugged on the corners of her lips. "I missed you."
"Aw, Liv," she cooed. "You saw me yesterday."
"I know that," she scoffed. "It's just so weird how life changes. We started high school literally attached at the hip and now that we're reaching the end...I feel like we're not as attached."
"I know," Luna pouted. "I guess that's what happens when you fall in love. Don't worry, Liv, no one will ever come between us. Not even Spencer James because I will kick his ass."
"Same with Jordan," Liv chuckled. "It's a good thing our boyfriends are best friends. I don't think anyone else could put up with us."
"Our boys are good ones," Luna smiled softly. "Okay, this conversation is gonna get real sappy and I'm gonna start crying, soon. Change the subject, please."
"Your hair's done," Liv patted her shoulder. "I need help with my dress. It weighs more than I do."
Luna nodded pushing herself off of the chair at the vanity and followed her over to her closet. Liv picked up the dress which Luna had yet to see and was completely blown away by, and then she helped her into the dress. Liv did the same with Luna assisting her in tying up the back of her dress.
"Spencer is not going to want to leave the house tonight," Luna wiggled her eyebrows. "You look hot."
"I'd say the same thing, but I don't want that image in my head," Liv grimaced. "But you look hot, too. Red is your color."
"Oh," she pretended to flip her hair. "Stop it."
Liv playfully rolled her eyes, holding her hand out for her friend as they made their way down the stairs hoping not to create a dramatic entrance. Not wanting to participate in the whole corny stairway entrance thing which didn't work out in Luna's favor considering Jordan was already waiting for her at the bottom of the steps, in complete awe of his girlfriend. His eyes were enlarged at the sight of the girl in the bright red strapless floor-length dress.
And Luna was in the same awestruck trance once she spotted him. When he dressed up, he definitely did it well. The burgundy tux he was wearing although didn't completely match her dress, looked amazing on him.
"You guys can speak to each other, you know?" Liv broke them out of their moment.
"Shut up," Jordan shot back. "Let me admire my fine ass girlfriend."
"I can't wait for Spencer to get here," Liv whispered to herself.
"My boyfriend's pretty damn hot if I do say so myself," Luna walked over to Jordan, wrapping her arms around his neck. "I thought the football uniform was a turn on but this tuxedo...game-changer."
"Oh, yeah?" he raised his eyebrow. "Hmm? Maybe I should dress up more often?"
Their exchange of compliments was disrupted by the doorbell and who they assumed to be Spencer. Jordan and Luna stepped away into the kitchen, giving the couple their privacy.
"Oh, one more thing to complete this look," Jordan grabbed the corsage off of the counter, he took ahold of her wrist sliding it on. "Perfect."
Luna pressed a soft kiss to his cheek. "We should probably head over to the cafe."
He nodded his head, pressing his hand against the small of her back and guiding her over to the front door to meet up with Spencer and Liv since they figured it just made sense to all go together. But, Liv and Spencer needed to make a small pit-stop.
"Mr. and Mrs. I fix people, are back at it, again," Luna shook her head disappointedly at the couple. "You two better not be late for the actual prom. Or I'll kill you."
Spencer gave her a mock salute but not before her giving her a small compliment about her appearance which she happily returned. Then the group of four dispersed once they walked onto the driveway, Jordan and Luna made their way towards the cafe while Spencer and Liv went God knows where.

Jordan wrapped his arm tightly around Luna's waist while they smiled for photos that were being taken by both their respective set of parents. Then the overly excited parents had pulled their children to the side taking separate photos with each other. Jordan was off with his mom, dad, and grandpa. While Luna was with her mom, Peter, and Asher.
Peter waved his hand between Luna and Asher, giving them an exhausted expression. "Can you two pretend you like each other?"
Luna feigned a smile, throwing her arm around Asher's shoulder, smiling for one last photo before walking off and telling them that she was officially done with photos for the night. They had been taking pictures since they stepped foot into the cafe, it was getting repetitive.
"What would you do if I told you I needed to talk to Layla?" Jordan wondered, glancing at the Keating girl standing by herself. "She...seems like she needs a friend."
"Even after what happened at the cabin?" she questioned. "You still want to be her friend after she was a total bitch to you?"
"Hey, she wasn't being a bitch and I shouldn't have even told you about what she said to me," he defended. "She's going through something and I wanna be there for her. What happened to you two giving your friendship another shot?"
"Yeah, that works both ways. She's distanced herself, I'm not gonna force anything," Luna retorted. "If you wanna talk to her, I'm not going to stop you."
Jordan attempted to kiss his girlfriend on the lips, but she turned her head allowing for his lips to touch her cheek. Luna walked off, not bothering to glance at whatever interaction Jordan and Layla were having.
Some time passed by, JJ made a very short speech, Spencer and Liv eventually showed up at the cafe, just in time for a couple of group photos to be taken. Then they all piled in the limousine, heading in the direction of South Crenshaw High.
Jordan and Luna had attempted to push their previous spat away but the Ramirez girl couldn't help but feel that her boyfriend was distracted and maybe it was her way of dealing with issues. But her regrettably smart mouth always found a way to cause a rift between them as she spoke.
She gently shoved his shoulder. "Are you thinking about Layla, still?"
"Seriously?" Jordan groaned, pushing her arms away as they danced. "What's wrong? Are you...jealous or something?"
"Jealous?" she taunted. "No. Unless I should be? I mean you clearly have a thing for your sister's childhood best friends. Maybe Layla's next?"
"You know, Luna," he scoffed. "Earlier you called Layla a bitch. You should take a look in the mirror."
Jordan walked off, giving his girlfriend a disappointed stare. Luna stood frozen in place on the dance floor, replaying what just happened in her mind. The night had started amazingly but for some reason, her jealousy got the best of her. It was almost like she and Jordan swapped places, he was usually the one with jealousy issues but when it came to Layla Keating and her boyfriend, she became exactly like him.
She was filled with regret once the realization hit her and she ran off of the dance floor in search of Jordan. As she entered the hallway by the staircase, it took everything in her to not cuss Layla Keating out once she saw them speaking even though it was a very innocent interaction. She was clearly going to have to work on her jealousy.
Layla turned around, noticing the way Jordan stopped conversing, and spotted Luna. "I'm gonna head back inside."
Luna sent her a curt nod, before bunching up the end of her dress and plopping down on the staircase. "You were right. I was being a bitch. Sorry."
"I should be apologizing," Jordan crouched down in front of her, gathering her hands in his hold. "I basically insinuated that you were a bitch which was a terrible thing as your boyfriend to do."
"Very true," she sighed. "And if we're being truthful with each other, I am jealous."
"Of Layla?" he questioned.
"Layla," she sheepishly answered. "It's just...you chased after me for years, Jordan. And now that you have me, I guess I'm afraid that you'll get tired of me. Or you'll realize that I'm not that girl you thought I was."
"You were definitely worth the chase, Luna," Jordan chuckled. "I could never get tired of you and nothing will ever turn me away from you. I promise."
She wiped a stray tear from her face. "I'm gonna have to work on this whole jealousy thing."
"Yeah," he sighed, patting her on the back. "Because you looked like you were two seconds away from cussing her out."
"I was," she admitted. "Sorry for ruining your night. All I wanted was to give you the best prom night ever and...I messed it up."
"The night is not over," Jordan shook his head. "Sounds like they're playing a slow song."
She pointed at her face. "Do I look ugly?"
Jordan let out a soft laugh. "You're the prettiest crier I know."
Luna giggled to herself, standing to her feet and rather than heading into the gym. The couple danced in the hallway. Silently hoping that this was the last bump in the road they'd have. But that was never the case for them.
