Three. The Girl Who Cried Vampire

CHAPTER THREE. The Night Of The Comet

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

"GOOD MORNING!"

Hazel groaned as she felt someone smack her aggressively with a pillow. She looked up, scrunching her face at the sight of her step brother, Mikey. He smirked as he hit her again. Hazel yelped, holding up her arms as he kept hitting her over and over.

"What are you doing here!?" She shouted in dismay, swatting him away from her. She sat up, pushing her messy hair out of her face. It was obvious Hazel was not a morning person. She preferred solitude and her own time to get ready for the day. Her step-brother bursting in her homey room and beating her up with pillows? Not solitude. Not peaceful. The scowl on her face showed exactly how annoyed she was.

"I'm driving you to school today. Mom demanded it after last night." Mikey explained. Hazel clenched her jaw, the harsh memories of her and her friend finding Vicki Donovan in the woods was still fresh. And still hurt, she thought as she looked down at her bruised and scraped knees.

She turned in her bed, peering over at her clock. "It's not even six." She said with a frown. "Why are you up so early? And who let you in my house?"

"Did my morning workout. Your dad did." Mikey listed. With one last pillow hit to Hazes faces Mikey started walking out of her room. "I'll be eating breakfast and waiting patiently!"

"Don't touch my lucky charms!"

Meanwhile, a few streets over, Sadie McCullough stood in her bathroom, putting her long brown hair in two braids as she played music from her laptop. She looked into the hall, seeing her sister sneaking back through the house. Samantha McCullough was older, a senior, but was supposed to graduate the year prior. Samantha was friends with people like Vicki Donovan. She hung around the wrong crowds, always dated the wrong people, and she was someone Sadie herself tried not to associate with. Sam stopped being invited to the family events after she turned 18.

Sadie looks back in the reflection, pushing her bangs and she adjusted her top. She wore jeans, converses, a charcoal acid wash long sleeve, and a necklace her dad got her for her birthday. She walked back out, rounding the corner into the kitchen, slowing down to see her mom already up and dressed herself.

Silvia McCullough smiled. "Hey, honey," She said softly, "How'd you sleep?"

"Good." Sadie kept it short, sliding into a barstool at the counter. "Did Dad say anything about Vicki?" Mitchell McCullough was a doctor at Mystic Falls Hospital, transferred the same year they moved to town.

"He said she'll be alright. She just needs some rest." Silvia explained with a faint smile.

Her youngest daughter raised a brow. "Does he know what bit her?"

"They said an animal attack, like that couple the other night. It's awful, really."

Sadie thought back to last night. She and Hazel had seen the bite, and it didn't look like an animal that would be in the woods in virginia. At least not what she'd expect. But all Vicki has said was vampire, and that just didn't make sense. She watched her mom, who was packing herself a lunch, tucking it away in a box. Sadie peered over, confused. "Where are you going?" She asked, knowing her mom was a receptionist at a clinic just outside of town. She always got lunch at a cafe across the street.

Silvia sighed, closing up her lunch box and moving to grab a coffee cup. "I'm helping Carol and some volunteers for the comet festival, so I thought I'd stop at the hospital and bring your dad some food. And don't worry, Hazel's birthday present is already wrapped and sitting in the towel closet."

"Why is it in there?" Sadie asked, frowning in confusion.

"Because Hazel doesn't clean." Silvia deadpanned. Sadie nodded in agreement, leaning her head into her hand. "Your dad will be home before schools out, but he'll be exhausted. He's been there since last night." Sadie watched her mom pick up her purse and a large bag full of supplies. "You alright fending for yourself tonight?"

Sadie nodded. Dinner was always like that at home. Everyone ate at different times, and they almost always had different meals. It was part of why Sadie was at Hazel's. At least there she had a set meal to dive into. Whether it was a frozen pizza or cooked steak and veggies, Hazel's families always had something for her to eat.

And though Sadie smiled and hugged her mom goodbye, she couldn't get Vicki Donovan's injuries off her mind. Not when she ate a granola bar, not when her sister and her argued about the bathroom, not when she stared at her reflection and brushed her teeth, and not when she finally met up with Hazel at school.

"Did you ask your dad?" Hazel asked, looking over. The two of them sat at a tree, spending their last few minutes outside rather than at their lockers.

"Mom said that he said it was an animal attack." Sadie answered, shrugging her shoulders.

Hazel shook her head. "I was googling it. There's no bear, bobcat, mountain lion, or even a raccoon that's going to leave a bite like that. Though what I did see was very disturbing." She explained as she thought of all the images of bites she had seen. "If I were crazy, I'd say it was a freaking person that did it. It'd explain why she said vampire" The girl was wearing a pink and grey striped sweater, jeans, and brown boots. Her red hair, which parts of the front had been tied back, was pushed back over her shoulders as she talked.

"Well, what are the chances of that?"  Sadie asked, looking up.

Hazel shrugged. "I mean, I read about this guy who ate another dudes face when he was on bath salts." She muttered in thought, putting her books away. "But has Vicki said anything?"

"I don't know."

"And did you see Stefan at all?" Hazel followed, adjusting her shoulder bag next to her. "Like, before we went to find Vicki."

Sadie thought back to the night before, trying to swim through tipsy memories. "He left to talk to Elena, but at some point shortly before we ran off she came back alone. I didn't see Stefan at all after we talked to him."

"Yeah, well, I did. I saw him when we were with Vicki. He looked terrified, and not in a holy shit there's a bleeding girl at this party." Hazel pointed as she looked around, wondering if he was close by. "No, he looked more knowing."

"What, like he was the one that attacked Vicki?"

Hazel shrugged, "I don't think so, maybe he had seen her in the woods! Maybe he saw her and left her there and feels super guilty."

"Hazel, maybe he was just super freaked out." Sadie suggested. "And maybe he's squeamish and didn't wanna get in trouble with his uncle. Cause lord knows my mom almost killed me."

"Yeah, my mom doesn't know Mikey and I were there, but she's having him watch me like a hawk." Both girls slowly turned around, seeing Hazel's stepbrother Mikey down by a set of tables, watching them both with focused narrowed eyes. The redhead rolled her eyes. "I'm gonna fight him. I swear to god, I'm gonna throw hands—"

"Yeah, cause that's smart." She muttered sarcastically.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

"ORIGINALLY DISCOVERED NEARLY FIVE CENTURIES AGO, it hasn't been over Mystic Falls in over 145 years."

Hazel looked ahead of her, watching Stefan and Elena send heart eyes each others ways. She made a mental note, knowing she had to talk to Stefan to see if he felt any way about Vicki, and make fun of him for gawking at Elena like she was the best thing since sliced bread.

"Now, the comet will be its brightest right after dusk during tomorrow's celebration." Mr. Tanner explained. Sadie reached over the aisle, hitting Hazel with a rolled up piece of paper. "Are we bothering you Mr. Salvatore? Ms. Gilbert?" Sadie and Hazel looked away from each other, seeing that their teacher had also noticed the stares Stefan and Elena had been sharing.

After class, Hazel was quick to push through the crowd, calling out for Stefan as he and Elena talked. They both looked in her direction, smiling. "Hey, Hazel," Stefan said.

Hazel beamed, though he could tell from her expression she had something to say. Her eyes went to Elena, looking at the book in her hand. "Woah, nice book," She said out loud. She looked back at Stefan. "We have math, and I have questions that I'm hoping you're smart enough to answer for me." Elena raises a surprised brow as Hazel pushed Stefan along. Now, in most scenarios, Elena would have been confused, maybe even upset that a girl pushed her crush along like Elena was bothering their friendship. However, Stefan had already explained Hazel to her. Hazel was forward, perhaps a little too forward for her own good, and had a tendency to let social cues fly over her head. How he noticed so much about her despite them only being friends for a couple days, she didn't know.

"You two were practically making out with your eyes, wanna explain?" Hazel asked as she finally stopped pushing Stefan, the two of them walking side by side.

Stefan smiled awkwardly. "I went to her house last night to check on her. We ended up talking."

"You mean sleeping together?"

"No, I mean talking." Stefan repeated. Hazel looked at him, surprised. "I wanted to get to know her. Know what she likes, what she's interested in. That's why I gave her that book."

Hazel raised a brow. "That was your book?" She asked. Stefan nodded. "God, you're such a geek." She teased, causing Stefan to glare. She nudged him playfully. "It's okay, I'm a geek, too."

Stefan looked at her. "You are?"

She hummed, almost chirp-like. Stefan wasn't used to the enthusiasm. "Love to read. Write. Art. My mom says I should go to school for it, but I keep telling her I'm too much of a perfectionist that I end up hating everything I do." She recited, almost as if she'd said it a million times before. She definitely had.

Sadie McCullough stood with Tyler, Mikey, and a couple of their few mutual friends. Sadie didn't hang out with the popular people, like at all, but she was friends with a girl named Tayla, and the two had their next class together. This meant that she had to sit there for the few minutes in between classes watching her friend flirt with her cousin and her best friends step brother.

"Sadie, you going to the festival tomorrow?" Mikey asked, catching the girls attention.

"Duh. It's Hazel's birthday. I'm not missing it."

Mikey snickered, "Kinda funny, isn't it? That her birthdays on the night of some comet." He shrugged as he looked around. "Mom's already trying to make Hazel have a party. She said no."

"Hazel doesn't want one." Sadie deadpanned. "She's fine with just watching the comet."

"Hey, Tyler." The Lockwood's name causes everyone to look over. Jeremy, Elena's younger brother, was coming storming down, shoulders broad as he spoke up. "Hey, I'm sorry to interrupt. I was just wondering how Vicki's doing since you guys are so close. Is she ok?" Sadie looked over at Mikey, who crossed his arms in dismay.

Tyler, on the other hand, uncrossed his arms and put his hands in his pockets, "She's fine. Now get out of here." He brushes him off, moving to turn back to the conversation.

However, Jeremy doesn't stop. "How bad is she? Do they know what attacked her? Is she going to make a full recovery? Was she happy to see you? What room number was she in?"

"I'm going to kick your ass," Tyler says suddenly. Sadie snaps her head at him, surprised.

Jeremy steps closer. "Yeah, you keep saying that, but when are you actually going to do it? Huh?" Suddenly, Jeremy shoves the Lockwood harshly. "Cause I vote for right here and right now." Tyler stumbles back, nearly stumbling into Sadie, which pushed her into Mikey.

Tyler regains his balance, glaring at him. "Walk away, Gilbert. It's your final warning."

"No, this is your final warning, dick." Jeremy snaps back. "I'm sick of watching you play Vicki. You hurt her one more time, I swear to God, I will kill you."

Sadie's eyes were still wide like saucers as she watched Jeremy storm off. She leaned off of Mikey, who kept his hand on her arm to make sure she didn't fall. "Damn, that was like a death threat." Tyler said, but Sadie could see the amused look on his face. "Did you hear that?"

"Kids got a crush on your girl, Ty," Mikey teased, leaning against the metal fence with an amused grin. "That's what happens when you buy pills off a freshman with baggage."

The McCullough elbowed him, frowning. "Don't be a dick, Mikey." She muttered. She looked back in Jeremy's direction, watching guiltily as he stormed back up the hill. She clenched her jaw in thought before turning her head. "Ty, are you visiting Vicki today at all?" She asked.

Tyler looked at her. His expression was stone cold, almost emotionless. That seemed to answer her question. An idea crossed Sadie's mind. An idea that would answer Hazel's theory of if it was really an animal that attacked Vicki Donovan.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

HAZEL HELD BINOCULARS TO HER EYES. She looked at the front doors of the hospital, furrowing her brow as she watched people walk in and out.

"Okay, I said we go to the hospital to see Vicki, not do a stake out outside the hospital and stalk her." Sadie commented. "Besides, Matt told Tyler she's coming home tomorrow."

"And what did she say attacked her?"

Sadie shrugged. "Tyler didn't ask. Probably thinks it was an animal like everybody else." She explained. "But I thought that's why we were going to go inside." She said pointedly. "What are you thinking you're going to find out here? A bear?"

Hazel put down the binoculars, making an unamused face. "I don't know." She sighed, finally realizing what she was doing was stupid. She looked ahead, seeing Matt Donovan walking from the parking lot. "Hey, maybe he knows something."

"Hazel-" Before Sadie could finish, her friend was already out of the car, jogging ahead to talk to Matt.

Matt was friendly. He knew Hazel and Sadie from their relatives, but he was never close to them by any means. However, he was glad that they found his sister. "Hey," Matt said, putting his hands in his jacket pockets as he waited for Hazel to approach.

"Hi." Hazel smiled, "We, um, wanted to check in on Vicki. See how she's doing."

"Yeah, me too." Matt said softly. "Um, she's probably still sleeping, but I wanted to tell her you guys are the ones that found her." He looked over Hazel's shoulder, watching Sadie walk closer. "You guys can come with."

Hazel looked back at Sadie with a knowing look.

The hospital was surprisingly empty. Not as many patients, and Sadie knew her dad was officially off the clock. Hazel licked her lips, looking around. "So, has Vicki said anything about what attacked her?" She asked, looking over.

Matt shrugged, "She said it was a vampire." He told them. Hazel and Sadie looked at each other with a look. "It's all she's said."

"A vampire? Like, Edward Cullen? Dracula?" Hazel listed off with a faint smile. "Seriously?"

"She was drunk, who knows." Matt commented. The three of them rounded a corner, walking towards Vicki's room. "Like I said, she's probably asleep—" Matt stops talking as he walks into an empty hospital room.

Sadie slowly turned her head, nearly jumping out of her skin seeing Vicki only a foot away from her. "Jesus-!" She gasped, taking a large step back to be closer to Matt and Hazel. "Scared the crap out of me."

The older Donovan didn't answer. She looked pale, almost sickly. And her eyes were glossed over, like she was lost in some thought. Matt stepped closer, "Vick, Vicki, hey," He said softly. Hazel's brows knitted together in confusion. Matt leaned down. "Vick, it's Matt. Hey, what's wrong?"

As soon as his hands touched her arms, Vicki started screaming. Hazel pulled Sadie further away as Matt tried to hold onto his sister. She screamed and thrashed. No! No! Hazel stepped closer, grabbing onto Matt. She pulled him away, Vicki standing at her bed, flinging her head as she screamed.

"Let's grab a nurse!" She suggested, pulling Matt away from his sister. Vicki was screaming, but Sadie and Hazel followed Matt to find any doctors or nurses.

"What the hell is happening?" Sadie gasped, speed walking after Matt. "She was freaking out."

Hazel and Sadie stopped, letting Matt rush to a nurse. Hazel shook her head. "I have no clue." She muttered. "Maybe some sort of trauma response?" Matt and the nurse rushed past them, and Hazel and Sadie followed.

As they reached Vicki's room again, to their surprise, she was fine. Vicki was back in her bed, asleep, no sign of fighting or screaming vampire. The nurse looked at the three teens with an unamused expression. "She seems fine."

Matt looks back at the girls in confusion. Hazel and Sadie could only shrug, just as lost as he was. He scrunched his face, looking back at his sister, "I wanna stay until she wakes up. I'll text you guys tomorrow to talk to Vicki," Matt explained. "Thank you, again." Sadie and Hazel shared looks. So much for getting answers.

Hazel and Sadie walked out of the hospital, both feeling a little less investigative than before. They sat in their car, now in the parking garage, staring at the doors again.

"Vampire." Sadie repeated. "What do you think that means?"

Hazel shrugged slightly. "How drunk would you have to be to think an animal's a vampire?" She asked.

"I'd have to be on shrooms."

Hazel sighed as she picked up her binoculars again, looking at the front entrance. "I don't get it. One minute, she's screaming and trying to get away from her own brother, and the next she's sleeping and dreaming of butterflies and rainbows." Hazel started looking around, shaking her head. "Who does that?"

Sadie shook her head. "I'm confused." She blurted. "Maybe she was on drugs, and it mixed with the alcohol, so she thought she saw all sorts of things, and now she's having a weird withdrawal psychosis? You told me about that story you read—"

     "Stefan."

"Well, I don't think he does drugs, but maybe—"

     "No, Stefan. He's here."

Sadie frowned, looking out the windshield. She followed Hazel's pointed finger, seeing Stefan. He was walking through the parking lot, looking around nervously, walking quickly. "Where did he come from?"

"Not the main entrance. I've been watching this entire time." Hazel informed her best friend. Sadie looked at her in confusion. "Plan B, let's hang out with our new bestie." And once again, Hazel was clambering out of Sadie's car, running after another person they barely knew. "Stefan!"

He looked over, alarmed. Hazel came jogging up, her red hair a disheveled mess from wind and running around, and Sadie was close behind. He tried to relax, his last few minutes at the hospital nervously treading his mind. He looked between them. "What are you guys doing here?" He asked.

"Came to visit Vicki." Sadie answered, "You?"

     "Donating blood."

Hazel raised a brow, looking down at Stefan's arm, wondering if he had a bandaid on to prove it. But she couldn't tell, he was wearing a jacket. Why did she suddenly feel so suspicious? "Well, Sadie and I are free the rest of the afternoon, and I know you're gonna be all up Elena's butt tomorrow at the comet festival, so, as we've declared you as our official third wheel, you have to celebrate my birthday with us tonight."

Stefan looked at her, intrigued. "Your birthdays tomorrow? The same day as the comet?"

"Cool, right?" Hazel grinned, bouncing on the heels of her feet. "Anyways, are you in?"

Usually, Stefan would hate the idea. This was dangerous. Especially after what happened to Vicki. But maybe it was a good thing, to have a pair of friends who knew nothing about him, really didn't care to know much, and were outside of everything he'd came to town for. So, he adjusted his footing, giving his charming smile. "Sure. What are we doing?" Hazel squealed happily, tugging Stefan and Sadie back to Sadie's car, talking about how she wanted to walk around town and they can buy her a snack.

Stefan couldn't lie, he had really started to like these two human girls. Even if they were strange, and it was obvious that they also found him strange. He felt...protective. Careful even.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

THE TRIO HAD SPENT a couple hours out in town. They stopped at an antique shop, where they dream shopped (as Hazel called it). Then, they stopped at a small cafe where they got coffees and walked and talked. It was perhaps the most normal afternoon of Stefan's life. There was no lingering thoughts, no panic, no looking over his shoulder. For the moment, he was a teenage boy with his two new friends.

Now, they were pulling up to his house. Hazel and Sadie were going to spend a couple hours there doing homework before they'd end up going home. Stefan didn't know how much he loved the idea, but he had hoped maybe his worst nightmare wasn't standing in his home.

     "Hello, Stefan."

     He suddenly felt very unlucky.

Hazel, Sadie, and Stefan walked into the Salvatore house after Hazel made a comment about how big it was. Hazel and Sadie were standing there, looking between Stefan, Elena, and a third person. The third person was hot. Raven-black hair. Ice-blue eyes. A smoldering look that Hazel could only describe as mesmerizing. Threatening, even.

Stefan didn't look at anyone except this third person Sadie and Hazel didn't recognize. He didn't even look at Elena. "Elena, I didn't know you were coming over."

     "I know, I should've called, I just—"

"Oh, don't be silly. You're welcome any time." The third person said, his attention shifting to the two girls behind Stefan. "You brought guests!" He smirked as he stepped closer. Hazel looked him up and down, unable to hide her expression of suspicion. "I'm Damon, Stefan's older brother."

Hazel looked at Stefan with a questioning look. "You have a brother?"

"Apparently we're all out of the loop, huh?" Damon chuckled. "And you two are," He trailed off, switching between the two girls. He studied them, watched them in a way that made Stefan angrier.

"I'm Sadie, and this is Hazel." The McCullough said, giving a polite smile.

Damon grinned, "So popular already, Stefan?" Hazel looked at the younger Salvatore. He hadn't moved a muscle. She was sure he hadn't even breathed. Whatever drama he had with his brother was enough for Stefan to suddenly look angry, uncomfortable, and incapable of looking anywhere else. "I should break out the family photo albums or some home movies. But, I have to warn you. He wasn't always such a looker." Elena smiled at the comment, though she could feel a strange vibe coming off the older brother.

"Thank you for stopping by, Elena. Nice to see you." Stefan says to her, hardly taking his eyes off his brother.  "Hazel, Sadie, thanks for bringing me home."

Elena opens her mouth for a moment, before shutting it again. She realizes this wasn't a good time to wander inside. There was definitely something that Damon failed to mention about his dynamic with Stefan. "Yeah, I should probably go. It was nice to meet you, Damon." She nods to the brother.

"Great meeting you, too, Elena." Damon takes the young girls hand, kissing her knuckles. The girl gives an awkward smile, turning to walk out, but Stefan stands there, staring at his brother. "And you two,"

Hazel suddenly turned away from Damon, not wanting to give him the time of day with how suffocating the room felt. Her focus centered on Elena. "We'll bring you home." She suggested with a smile, urgently moving towards the exit. "Bye, Stefan!" Damon felt proud of himself, annoying Stefan as much as he did.

"Stefan?" Elena asks. The younger brother doesn't move, perhaps his mind is in another world. "Stefan?"

The younger Salvatore finally pays attention, moving so Elena has a path to move. Now feeling unwelcome and awkward, Elena looks towards the other girls. They looked just as uncomfortable as she did. Sadie opened the door, ushering the other two out, before quickly closing it behind her.

As they got closer to Sadie's car, Elena was the first to speak up. "Do either of you know what that's about?"

"You mean the weird brother rivalry-borderline-hatred in there?" Hazel asked, looking back. "Not a clue."

"Stefan hasn't even mentioned Damon." Sadie added. "And we hung out with him today. He told us about how his mom got sick when he was young, he knows a lot about history, he loved Seinfeld, old cars, and yet somehow having an older brother was never brought up."

Elena frowned in confusion. She opened the back door of Sadie's car, climbing in as the two got in the front. "Damon mentioned a girl named Katherine. Stefan's ex."

"He didn't bring her up." Hazel said, looking back. "But why would he? She's an ex."

"Damon made it sound like their relationship was a lot, and that he never thought Stefan would get over her."

Hazel looked back at the house in thought. She pressed her lips and hummed. "Maybe it was a lot. But that doesn't mean he hasn't moved on." Hazel defended Stefan, trying to be more reasonable. "Maybe you can ask him about it. I'm sure he'd be willing to tell you about his ex problems because he's watched you deal with Matt."

Elena cringed, "You know about that?"

"I know a lot." Hazel pointed, smiling. "But let's not dwell on it." Hazel opened up the middle compartment in Sadie's car, pulling up a CD case and holding it out to Elena. "Pick who we're listening to on the drive back to your place." Elena slowly took the case, smiling. She didn't know Hazel or Sadie all that well, but knowing Stefan liked them and how kind they'd been thus far made her feel more comfortable. Hazel looked at the house as Sadie started driving away.

"I can't lie, Damon's kinda hot." Hazel looked around as Sadie and Elena stared at her blankly. She shrugged, "What? I'm not wrong!" She defended, putting her hands up as she turned away. Elena looked back down at the CD's and Sadie shook her head slowly, paying attention to the road. Hazel crossed her arms, sinking in the sink. "Judgy, much."

Meanwhile, inside the Salvatore home, Damon gives a low whisky. "Great gals." Damon huffs, "Elena's got spunk." A knowing look crosses his face. Stefan had never wanted more to punch his brother in his stupid smirking mouth. "You, on the other hand, look pooped. Did you over-exert yourself today? Let me guess, hospital."

Stefan stepped off the steps leading into the living room, walking past his brother "Someone had to clean up your mess." He stated. He knew better. He knew Damon wanted some form of a reaction. He had to give him as little as possible, as impossible as it felt.

Damon nodded at him in fake curiosity, "Well, were you successful? Did the powers of persuasion work? Remember, if you don't feed properly, none of those little tricks work right." He teased.

Stefan fiddled with the blue ring on his finger, "How long was Elena here?" He asked. Part of him almost regretted hanging out with Hazel and Sadie, as it meant it left more time for Damon and Elena to be here alone. It also meant he made Damon aware of Hazel and Sadie. Two people who had absolutely nothing to do with this.

"Were you worried, Stefan?" Damon asks. His blue eyes studied his brother as he continued to try and push his little brothers buttons. "Scared we may be doomed to repeat the past?" He chuckled lowly, "Isn't that why you play your little game, I'm a high school human with those two cute little girls?"

"I'm not playing any game." Stefan hid it well, but he could feel the rage at both Damon and himself. Hazel and Sadie were human. They were innocent. And they didn't share a face with their dead loved one. They were nothing to Damon.

Damon cuts him off. "Of course you are. We both know the closest you'll ever get to humanity is when you rip it open and feed on it." Damon snarls in his brothers ear.

Stefan looks at his elder brother. "What kind of game are you playing, Damon?" He asks, calm, collected even. Damon looked at his brothers eyes. His brothers lost, confused, threatening expression. An amused smirk tugged at his lips once again. He looked Stefan up and down, unbothered by him completely.

"Guess you'll just have to wait and see, won't you?"
