Chapter 8
I looked into her beautiful eyes. She looked a bit happier after the kiss. I think I am too. I grin and get an idea, "Want to go out on a date together? I know we're not dressed up and all. But I don't think we need to be on this date. As long as we're together and having a good time, that's all that matters."
She smiled, "Let's do it."
I grin as we drive to their favorite restaurant: Olive Garden. We have always loved their pastas, salads and soaps.
"We haven't been here forever it seems." Kaitlin grinned excitedly. There seemed to be light in her face and eyes. They were glowing much more than they have been recently, and this school year in general.
"Ya, we haven't." I grinned back, "I'm glad we get to go again though."
"Me too." When we paid; specifically, I was the one that paid; the waiter found us a table that was just for two. We thanked him as he smiled and walked to get our drinks that we ordered.
"How are you feeling?" I asked Kaitlin, hoping this at least made her day a little better.
She grinned, "Yep, now that I'm with you, and we're both happy. You're still the amazing man I've met those years ago."
He chuckles softly, "And you are the amazing woman I met years ago too." He then added, chuckling. He teased while he spoke, "What does 'the same man' supposed to mean?"
I grinned playfully, "Oh you know, the same. You can decide how you take it." She also added, still in teasing mode, "What does 'the same woman' supposed to mean?"
He chuckled and shrugged, "Who ever knows." They laughed softly enjoying their time together. It felt like they were meeting for the first time again.
