Chapter 6 : Missing brother

Sebastian's Pov

Kimmy and I had finally found the perfect idea for how our characters met. We had asked our teacher and he said we could make things like our family up so we used this to our advantage. Our story went a little like this:
Kimmy's brother (he has no name or age yet) goes missing. Me, being a police officer, is put on his case. Kimmy was distraught as her parents had died a year prior in a terrible crash and she has no one but her brother (still no name or age yet) left. Me, being the amazing human being I am, instead of leaving her in the bad shape she is, decided to stay with her and make sure she doesn't do anything she would regret. This becomes a routine for us for the following month as we are still on the search for her brother (nope, no name or age yet) and we became close. Of course once we find her brother (who's name is Monty and his age is 7 years, 9 months and 24 days) there is no use for me to stay with her so I stop staying with her but apparently she really (totally not expected *eye roll*) liked me staying over and enjoyed my presence so we started hanging out more and therefore us falling in love (this should be an actual book).

We both agreed on this but the real challenge was making this into a 2500 word long story. It was going to take so long and our story was short so Kimmy proposed a brilliant idea, we both write from the different point of views (of course fact checking) and when we put it together and add an opening and ending, it should be around 2500 words long. It was actually a wonderful idea so we did it.

We were at the cafe a while longer, her working on her part of the story whereas I was thinking about the proposal. The thing is I hardly know anything about her but something within me wants to make sure that this is the best proposal ever and I put my heart and soul into it making so unforgettable that when - if - she really gets proposed too, she would remember this proposal and think about how mine is way better than the lame proposal her future husband does. (tmi sowwy)

A sudden ringing of a chime coming from the bell at the door snapped both Kimmy and me out of our trances. I looked up to see who entered, like you do and saw it was my brother, Oliver. Ugh, why is he here? He was wearing some black jeans and a hoodie, I mean MY hoodie and on his head, he wore a sponsored hat as his hair was probably a mess. I lightly laughed in my head at that. He noticed me and walked over to us, an annoying smirk playing on his mouth. When he reached us he looked at me and asked with his annoying voice, "Do you know what time it is brother?"
I quickly turned on my phone to see it was 6:37 pm. I was supposed to be home at 6. "Oops, I'm late, I didn't even notice the time, me and Kimmy were too busy doing our homework," I replied innocently.
"It's actually Kimmy and me, me and Kimmy is grammatically not correct," Kimmy corrected,
But I made a mistake mentioning Kimberly as Oliver gave me one more annoying smirk before looking at Kimberly. I mentally apologise to her for what is about to happen. It's not like my brother is a f**kboy or anything, it's just he flirts, way too much and yet I still wonder how he is socially awkward. It blows my mind.

"Hello, I'm Oliver, this idiot's brother," he greeted sticking out his hand for her to shake.
"He's not an idiot," she replied gingerly shaking his hand. At least she wasn't falling for his Kpop like looks.
"Right, sorry. I didn't quite catch your name actually," he said, sounding apologetic but we all know that just a lie.
"That's because I didn't throw it," she replied like a smartbutt before wiping the hand she shook his hand with on her clothes, and not very discreetly. My brother was looking at her, a quarter amusement, a quarter shock, a quarter anger and a quarter curious. Why do I know my brother so well? I thought it was time to bid goodbye so I quickly packed my bag and started to drag my brother out of there. "Bye Kimmy," I called out to her as were leaving.
"Bye," she replied.
"Nice meeting you," my brother shouted at her as we were already near the door.
"I would say the same but that would be a lie," was her savage answer and I mentally high-fived her.
