ASHLEY
"What the fuck is going on here?!" I asked, trying not to yell and rip both of their heads off.
Standing in front of me was Isaac, shirtless and a brunette girl with only her undergarment on his lap.
Both looked at me, and I looked straight back, waiting for an answer.
My heart ached. I waited for another minute and left the building.
He didn't even say, "I can explain." I would've actually listened to what he was going to say. But, no, he didn't even show the least bit of effort. How stupid of me to think he was okay with this whole marriage shit.
I drove back to my house and locked myself in my room. I knew he was hiding something, and the thought of him cheating had passed through my mind. But I never believed he would ACTUALLY do it.
And now, there was no way out. Because I was being forced into this marriage.
I wiped the tears falling from my eyes and withheld anymore crying. I wasn't going to cry for a guy. He didn't even mean that much to me. What hurts is that I had to get married to this guy.
All I wanted was a steady marriage. We didn't have to be in love. I just wanted mutual respect. But I can see he has none for me. Then, that is exactly what he'll get in return.
Remembering that we were going to visit the Kingston's this evening, I walked to my bathroom and took a quick shower.
I already knew what I was going to wear. I put on a soft pink coat over me so I didn't look too slutty. I just really needed to show Isaac what he was missing. Smirking, I dressed up and walked into the living room.
"Sweetie, don't you think that's a little too much?" asked my mom, entering the living room.
"Nope. This is how Isaac likes it." I answered.
"You don't have to dress how he wants you to, darling."
"I know, but I want to. I'm marrying him tomorrow, remember?"
"Come on, ladies. We're running late." Dad informed us, opening the front door.
We drove to the Kingston's. As usual, Sarah gave us a huge hug and welcomed us in.
We walked to the dining room. Hunter and Jason were already seated, their eyes never leaving the table for a second.
Well, they're hungry...
After what I had been through today, I felt like I had lost my appetite and would not be able to find it back for weeks.
I took a seat next to Hunter. Fred and Sarah also joined us, with the last meal. They sat down next to my parents.
There was only one seat left for Isaac, and that was next to me. But seeing that he still hadn't come, I didn't think he would be joining us today.
What a shame... a perfectly good outfit wasted. Who gives a fuck, though? Dinner without him is 100 times better now that I know his real face.
That son of a bastard fooling me into thinking he had changed. That's the last time I trust a guy.
As I was rambling on and complaining in my head, I felt a tug on my shoulder.
"Huh?" I looked at Hunter.
Instead, Sarah answered, "Could you get the door, honey? It must be Isaac."
I mentally facepalmed.
Putting on a forced smile, I nodded and got up to open the door for Isaac.
There he was, looking like a fucking Greek God that came out of a Percy Jackson book. Rolling my eyes, I turned my back and started walking back to the dining room.
"There they are! Now we can start eating." Fred remarked, seeing both of us walk in.
We both sat down. Isaac started filling up his plate as if the pussy he ate an hour ago didn't fill him up.
"Why aren't you eating, Ashley?" mom asked.
"Oh, sorry. I zoned out." I lied, filling up my plate. I don't know how I was going to eat everything.
The parents started engaging in a conversation, while I looked down at my plate and started playing with my food.
"We should talk." Isaac whispered to me.
"I don't think so. Let alone talking, I'm not doing anything that involves you anymore." I whispered back.
"Baby... You don't know what you're saying." he smirked, stroking my legs.
I slapped his hand away, "Believe me, I've never been so sure of anything in my life. Now, stop talking to me."
"Guys, keep it down. We're trying to eat!" Jason whined.
Hunter smirked at the two of us. I ignored all 3 guys and stuffed my mouth with food, making it seem as if I had eaten at least something.
"Uh... Everything was delicious, Sarah. Thank you. But I'm feeling extremely tired. I should probably go home and get some rest. You don't become a bride every day, am I right?" I acted.
"Of course, dear! Isaac can drive you." replied Sarah.
Mom and dad gave me approving nods.
Why does everything lead back to him?!
"Thanks for the offer, but I can drive myself. Besides, Isaac looks very tired, as well."
"Darling, we only came in one car, remember?" explained my dad.
