Chapter Four

I drive to the gay bar a few miles from my house. Yes, there is a closer one, but I can't risk anyone I know seeing me. I am not ready to come out yet. And that weird nightmare thing made it very evident. I pull into a parking spot and I hear someone say my name. I turn around and no one is there. Why am I hearing things?

I walk into the bar and I am instantly hit with the smell of alcohol. Not just from the bar area, but from all of the people in the club. You would think being slightly sober would be appealing to these people. But it isn't.

When I take a seat at the bar area the bar tender comes over to me.
"What can I get you?" Says a man in drag. In sloppy drag if I may add.
"Um piña colada please," I say with a smile and a nod to my head.
"Coming right up dearing," he, sorry, she says and she walks to go and make my drink. As I am waiting I turn my attention to my phone. Just what I thought. No new messages. When I look up a guy is sitting next to me. A man with dark hair, stubble lining his sharp jawline, and piercing green eyes that seem to almost glow in the dim lighting.

"Hello," the perfect mystery man says in the most sexy voice I have ever heard.
"Hi," I say looking away and blushing a little.
"Oh um... I'm Daniel. What's your name cutie?" He says very confidently.
"I'm Joey. Nice to meet you Daniel," I say setting my hand out for him to shake. But instead he grabs my hand and kisses the top of it, causing a deep shade of red to spread across my face.
"The pleasure is all mine," he says with a perfect smile plastered across his face. I start hearing a steady beep sounding across the whole bar. Must be the music. I am pulled from my curiosity when the bar tender walks back over and hands me my drink. I am about to pay for it when Daniel hands her the money.
"Thank you. But really, you don't have to do that," I say shaking my head towards this mystery man.
"A man as beautiful as you should never have to pay for his own drink," Daniel says.
"If I didn't know better I would think you were hitting on me, Daniel," I say very flirty. I honestly am enjoying the attention.
"Well, then I guess you don't know better. Tell me something Joey, do you have a boyfriend?" He says scooting closer to me. I can tell that when he asked that question he was a little nervous for my answer.
"No. I don't. Do you have a boyfriend?" I said scooting closer to him as well. I want to show him that I can be on his level.
"No. But I have a feeling I may soon," He says biting his bottom lip, "Would you like to leave this bar and go to a nicer restauraunt. Maybe a café? You know, so we could get to know eachother in a much nicer enviornment?" Daniel says with a little flush visible in his cheeks.
"I would love to," I say standing up from my seat.
