Chapter 32 - "Taking baby Home..."

Matt's PoV

'Morning Matt ' someone said but I was really cheery, so nothing was going to get me down today... Apart from the fact that I had been hounded in the street.

It was quite ironic really because we'd been working with a baby on set and so now I actually have my own.

'Congratulations dude.' Arthur said patting me on the back.

'Isn't it supposed to the Mum that's emotionally attached and doesn't want to leave her. But I kind of miss her' I pouted.

'Just two scenes to film today Matt, and you'll be out of here before 3 o clock' Steven said.

'Good, because she's being discharged this afternoon' I said and bounced around set.

'Here' Kaz and Arthur said before we started the shoot.

'What?'

'It's for Autumn. We saw it and we just couldn't help ourselves' she said, as I pulled a baby grow out that had a bow tie by the neck.

That was awesome.

DOCTOR: 'But she's human. She's Amy and Rory's daughter'

VASTRA: 'You've told me about your people. They became what they did through prolonged exposure to the time vortex. The Untempered Schism'

DOCTOR: 'Over billions of years. It didn't just happen'

VASTRA: 'So how close is she? Could she even regenerate?'

DOCTOR: 'No, no. I don't think so'

VASTRA: 'You don't sound so sure'

DOCTOR: 'Because I don't understand how this happened'

VASTRA: 'Which leads me to ask when did it happen?'

DOCTOR: 'When?'

VASTRA: 'I am trying to be delicate. I know how you can blush. When did this baby begin?'

DOCTOR: 'Oh, you mean'

VASTRA: 'Quite'

DOCTOR: 'Well, how would I know? That's all human-y, private stuff. It just sort of goes on. They don't put up a balloon, or anything.'

VASTRA: 'But could the child have begun on the Tardis in flight, in the vortex'

DOCTOR: 'No! No! Impossible! It's all running about, sexy fish vampires and blowing up stuff. And Rory wasn't even there at the beginning. Then he was dead, then he didn't exist, then he was plastic. Then I had to reboot the whole universe. Long story. So, technically the first time they were on the Tardis together in this version of reality, was on their wa---'

VASTRA: 'On their what?'

DOCTOR: 'On their wedding night'

'Okay this scene is the ultimate moment of the series, so could we need to keep this under the biggest secret'

'What is it?' I asked and Steven handed us the new scripts. They wouldn't give us these before because they really were that secret.

VASTRA: 'So, what now? They'd almost certainly have taken her to Earth. Raise her in the correct environment'

DOCTOR: 'Yes, they did. And it's already too late'

VASTRA: 'You're giving up? You never do that'

DOCTOR: 'Yeah, and don't you sometimes wish I did?'

RIVER: 'Well then, soldier. How goes the day?'

DOCTOR: 'Where the hell have you been? Every time you've asked, I have been there. Where the hell were you today?'

RIVER: 'I couldn't have prevented this'

DOCTOR: 'You could have tried!'

RIVER: 'And so, my love, could you. I know you're not all right. But hold tight, Amy, because you're going to be'

DOCTOR: 'You think I wanted this? I didn't do this. This, this wasn't me!'

RIVER: 'This was exactly you. All this. All of it. You make them so afraid. When you began, all those years ago, sailing off to see the universe, did you ever think you'd become this? The man who can turn an army around at the mention of his name. Doctor. The word for healer and wise man throughout the universe. We get that word from you, you know. But if you carry on the way you are, what might that word come to mean? To the people of the Gamma Forests, the word Doctor means mighty warrior. How far you've come. And now they've taken a child, the child of your best friends, and they're going to turn her into a weapon just to bring you down. And all this, my love, in fear of you'

DOCTOR: 'Who are you?'

RIVER: 'Oh look, your cot. Haven't seen that in a very long while'

DOCTOR: 'No, no, you tell me. Tell me who you are'

RIVER: 'I am telling you. Can't you read?'

DOCTOR: 'Hello'

RIVER: 'Hello'

DOCTOR: 'But but that means'

RIVER: 'I'm afraid it does'

DOCTOR: 'Ooo. But you and I, we, we, we, er...'

RIVER: 'Yes'

DOCTOR: 'How do I look?'

RIVER: 'Amazing'

DOCTOR: 'I'd better be'

RIVER: 'Yes, you'd better be'

DOCTOR: 'Vastra and Jenny, till the next time. Rory and Amy, I know where to find your daughter, and on my life, she will be safe. River, get them all home'

RORY: 'Doctor!'

AMY: 'No! Where are you going?'

AMY: 'Where's he going and what did you tell him?'

RIVER: 'Amy, you have stay calm'

AMY: 'Tell me what you told the Doctor'

RORY: 'Amy, no. Stop it!'

RIVER: 'It's okay, Rory. She's fine. She's good. It's the Tardis translation matrix. It takes a while to kick in with the written word. You have to concentrate'

AMY: 'I still can't read it'

RIVER: 'It's because it's Gallifreyan and doesn't translate. But this will'

RIVER: 'It's your daughter's name in the language of the Forest'

AMY: 'I know my daughter's name'

RIVER: 'Except they don't have a word for Pond, because the only water in the forest is the River. The Doctor will find your daughter, and he will care for her whatever it takes. And I know that. It's me. I'm your daughter'

'Well there was a plot twist' I said and couldn't wait to get home and tell Jenna. She'll go crazy.

'Oh my God. You'll never believe the plot twist' I said to her as I walked into the hospital room.

He was standing hunched over the plastic cot, with Autumns hand in hers and he Dad was watching from the corner.

I avoided him, because I knew he might wanna hit me for allowing this to happen as it was. Without disappearing to set.

'Don't tell me. I wanna wait until it comes out, that's only like 11 weeks away' she said as I put the car seat on the bed.

'Come on then sweetheart' she said as she lifted her out of the plastic cot and put her in the car seat. It was adorable to watch her blow baby bubbles.

'She opened her eyes briefly earlier' Jenna said and I pouted. 'Oh. I missed it?'

'There so cute and small, there also very brown' she said putting her head down.

'She's got your eyes? That's brilliant' I said hoping she would.

'So I saw that you tweeted that she was born'

'Yeah. I just figured it would be better if I did it opposed to a to anyone else'

'That's a good point. So how are we getting out of here?' She asked.

'There's a car waiting outside... Well out the back anyway' I said picking up the car seat and bag. There's no way she'll be able too.

'Ready?' I asked as she finished signing forms. 'Oh don't forget about Ellie the Elephant' I said pointing at the stuffed elephant in the cot.

'I think she likes it... And I think it's because of the bow tie. I hope she doesn't like bow ties' Jenna smirked.

'Really?' I pouted.

'No. She was born in the wrong family to not like bow ties' Jenna joked.

We did manage to escape the hospital pap free, which was a bloody miracle, but we went straight back to her flat.

'Do you want me to stay? We can split the night feed?' I said to her.

'I guess. But don't you have to go to set?' She asked.

'Nope. In free for a week. So I'm all yours to help. Nappies, bottles, washing... You name it' I said proudly.

'So can we start planning the christening then? I just want it to be a low key day with a few people, you know friends and family' she said.

'We can' I grinned and she came back with a folder, highlighters and different coloured pens.

I had moved Autumn so she was asleep in the bouncy chair that was in front of us so we can keep an absolute eye on her.

'Matt?'

'Hmm?'

'Have you umm... Told your Dad?' She asked and I stiffened. I wanted nothing to do with him and she knows that.

'No. Jenna I haven't spoken to him since my Mum died, and he hasn't exactly made the effort with me' I said.

'Does he know it's you in Doctor Who?'

'He probably has an idea. Anyways I don't want Autumn to be around an angry alcoholic that only thinks of himself. If he found out how to contact me then he'd just ask for money'

'So?'

'So. He did nothing for me when Mum died. You know for a fact that he didn't even come to the funeral. Why would I want to get involved with someone like that?'

'Because he's your Dad'

'Were not talking about this Jenna. I don't want to get in contact with him... End of story' I said storming out of her flat.

I felt bad about leaving her in the flat alone with a two day old baby, but I just need some time to think.
