~Monday~
In 6:00 AM in the morning the sound of Georgia's alarm clock can be heard, the beeps loud, annoying and able wake even the most heaviest sleepers. Georgia is one of them, she stood up and got ready for work. After approximately 30 minutes she was ready to go. She got her bag and her keys as she was on the way to the door. She stepped out and locked the door
"Let's hope this day is as uneventful as the last." She muttered to herself, it was almost funny to her. She lost hope a long time ago so, 'hoping' sounded stupid to her. Hoping on people, the government, life in general was tiring to her. She sighed as she hopped on her bike and rode to "Garden Emporium." A shop she bought and put up herself, where she sold gardening tools, flowers and plants. She could remember clearly the day she opened the shop. It was when achieving her dreams didn't appeal to her anymore. It was too much of a feat for her to reach anyway.
"Crap!" She exclaimed as a motorcycle which looked like it was going over the speed limit, almost hit her. 'Does anybody respect the road rules anymore?' She though with a frown as she continue to peddle to the shop filled street. As she was getting closer to her own shop, she laid her eyes on what seems to be a street fight. But as usual she ignores things that don't bother her, and stops right in front of her shop. She got off her bike and chained it, she then dug in her bag to look for her keys. 'Crap did I forget them!?' She thought in a panic, only to let out a sigh of relief as she felt the familiar texture of her keys. She took them out and unlocked the shop's door, opened the windows, and reorganized the stock. She looked at the clock and saw that it was 7:21 AM. With that in mind she flipped the sign to the "open" side and went behind the counter. Now all she had to do was wait for a costumer.
Georgia's POV
I started humming a song I heard from TikTok, as I flipped to the next page of a random magazine I found. To my surprise somebody came in, I looked up only to find Dennis himself. I sighed 'The guy's probably gonna buy more flowers for his "girlfriend," like how early does she want her gifts to be?' I thought as I watched him look around the place for the perfect flower.
"Found anything you like?" I asked as he seemed to be staring at the magnolias. I chuckled slightly as he jumped at my voice.
"Um, no, not really, my girlfriend thinks magnolias smell disgusting." He answered, as expected, he still thinks about what his girlfriend wants,
"Does she have any preferences?" I asked with a practiced smile. I stared as he seems to be thinking about it. 'I'm gonna guess this woman changed her preference again?' I thought as I felt my smile become slightly strained.
"Not really..." He answered, I nodded in understanding
"Just tell me if you find something you like." I said and went back to reading my magazine. The magazine was filled with thin women and showy outfits it almost made me want to puke. 'Is this a new way to judge fat women or something?' I sighed as I thought about it, society is being more and more hard to understand anymore. I looked up as another costumer waltzed in, it was a young girl who seemed to be frantic. I yelped as she slammed her hands on the counter.
"U-uh, do you have any flowers I can give as a birthday present!?" She asked with panic filling her voice.
"We have the gerbera daisies if that is what you're looking for" I answered calmly as I closed my magazine and put it on the side.
"Uh, what about lilies do you have any!? I'm in a real hurry right now, because I forgot today is my best friend's birthday!" She explained, I nodded. For some odd reason the more I look at her the more I notice the sweat on her face.
"Yes, we do have lilies, there are some pre-arranged ones right at the back, do you want me to show you to it?" I said and asked her, I'm so used to having costumers like this that I wasn't as surprised as I used to be.
"No need I can look for them myself, thank you!" She answered as she rushed to look at the isles. I looked at Dennis and saw that he was holding some pink petunias. I smiled at him and and nodded as way to say you can pay now.
"That will be $10.48, would you like a receipt?" I asked as I was wrapping up his flowers.
"Yes please," he answered as he gave his payment. I nodded and ended the wrapping with a bow attaching the receipt to it.
I waved goodbye as he walked out of the door. I then looked at the girl who has chosen the lily arrangement she wanted. She walked up to me and put it on the counter, I decided to rearrange it a little bit.
"That'll be $99.00 would you like a receipt " I said as I felt satisfied with the quick rearrangements I did.
She nodded, took the vase, gave me the money, and bolted out the door. I chuckled slightly, then sighed, 'teenagers these days are really something else.'
(Time skip: brought to you by leafy in a pot)
I sighed and check what time it was, 10:25 AM. 'This day is going by pretty slow huh?' I thought as I checked TikTok to see if @infinitetiktoks posted anything new.
"Hey!" I looked up with a uninterested face at the new comer. 'Isn't that the guy I saw fighting in the street?' I thought as I stared at his face, it was covered in bruises.
"Yo, you deaf or something?" He asked with an annoyed grin on his face. 'Wow, rude' I thought,
"No sir, I'm not deaf, but do you need anything?" I asked fighting back an annoyed sigh. He looked around for a little bit and then pointed at a shovel. I turned to it's direction and instantly knew what this guy planning.
"That'll be $150.00 sir," I said with a bored tone as he picked it up and examined it. That was when I thought of just saying that I know what he's gonna use it for.
"And yes sir it can bury bodies as deep as you need it to." I said with a smirk, I almost chuckled at the startled look he gave me. I felt my interest start to peak in me. 'Who would have thought such handsome guy would be a murder.'
"How did you know, are you a stalker or something!?" He questioned me as if I was the one that killed someone. The nerve of some people are simply remarkable.
"No, just call it a hunch of some sort," I said as I looked at my nails. 'Man, I really need to get these done' I thought. I looked up only to see him pointing a gun to my head. 'Has this guy ever heard of personal space?' I sighed and pushed the gun away.
"Would you like a receipt?" I asked and stared him straight in the eyes. He then put the gun close to my head yet again.
"Tell anyone about this and I will murder you." He said with such a dark tone that it sent shivers up my spine.
"Listen I don't want to be involved in the BS you do okay sir? I'd rather just sleep then talk to anybody." I said with a yawn, unexpectedly though he gave me the money and hid his gun. 'You'd think a murder would rob, yet he's more civil then the criminals I have seen.
"Yes I would like a receipt..." he said and avoided eye contact. I nodded and ringed him up.
"Here you go sir," I said as I gave him the receipt. He rushed out the door after that. I then chuckled and went back to checking my TikTok.
"Hope we'll meet again murder," I muttered with humor in my voice. 'This has been more eventful than any other days I've had, to be honest I like the change...' I thought with a smile.
