The gems were on yet again another mission However steven could care less he was to tired to worry right now... It was a pretty day today The sun was shining and the birds were chirping and the bees were buzzing However steven felt depressed and was in a very very bad mood and he just felt like slouching on the couch. Steven was so tired of being depressed he was tired of the negative thoughts eating away at his mind. But he couldn't help it He was way in over his head and he felt like his world was crumbling around him. The flashbacks would replay in his mind over and over again and again repeatedly .  And each time he thought about it  the more his heartaches... 

~~~Flashback from a year ago~~~

He was 16 and he was getting older he tried to hangout with his dad a little bit more And spend as much time with him as much as he could but he heard his arthritis was getting super bad and after they came back from their 3 week vacation in Ohio. Greg went back to the car wash and he went to sleep in his van And Steven returned back home to the temple. On that fateful morning I Steven went to see if his dad was busy working inside the car wash But instead he was inside his van at first He thought greg was sleeping but when he checked his pulse he realized his father wasn't breathing. Steven began to rapidly panic he started to cry. He realized his dad must of had a heart attack in his sleep.. Steven just lied their for a few minutes and cried and cried

Steven wept his cheeks were raw from crying so hard the faint memories and heartaches hit him harder than a freight train...  Then another flashback appeared in his mind...

~~~Flashback~~~

Steven pressed the airlock in the moon base and Sardonyx's war hammer sent the ruby's and Steven flying into outer space and he remembered when he healed eyeball ruby's gem and then he summon his dagger and started chasing steven around in the pink bubble

steven couldn't control his emotions he hurted so much and the memories plague his worst nightmare... then another flashback appeared but he ignored it and wipe his tears and tried to fake a smile because he knew the gems would be back any moment now and he didn't want them to see him crying...
as if on cue the warp pad went off and three gems emerged from the warp stream. Steven waved to them a warm smile on his face

Amethyst:  Heyo Stevo! wazzup my man?

Pearl: Hello Steven

Garnet: hi cutie pie.

steven: Seriously?  Im 17 now and your still calling me that *steven blushed and groaned*

Garnet: *chuckles*  No matter how old you are you will always be my cutie pie!

Steven: *smiles warmly* thanks. 

Amethyst could tell by looking in the boy's eyes that something was wrong

Amethyst: hey um Ste-man are you okay? you look like your about to cry.

*now all the gems were worried and concerned and stared at the young man on the couch*

Steven: Tch i'm fine no worries okay.  

Amethyst: don't lie to me I can tell if something is bothering you..

Steven: *sighs heavily* Ugh fine... I was just having some flashbacks y'know I was thinking about dad and the rubies and me poofing bismuth and Jasper getting
corrupted I just have a lot of stuff on mind right now and all my feelings are incredibly complicated right now... that's all..

Amethyst: Things will get better sometimes just try to not think about it ste~man

Pearl: Steven if something is wrong don't be afraid to talk to us. We miss your father as well.. 

Garnet: Steven it's natural to think things. if something is wrong however don't be afraid to ask us. were here to help

Steven: *sighs and glances down at his feet then looks back up at the gems*  I know

*the gems hug him*

A/N by the way steven is 17 years old this is what he looks like
