Chapter 7
Shade was helping getting Venin's stuff to her new cave.
That's it... I think..." She sighed, bringing the last of it to one of the back chambers. "I can't express my gratitude enough, Shade. Thank you so much..." She nuzzled him again, smiling. She had grown attached to him more, and more as they were together... She even felt like he was the one for her... Possibly...
He smiled nudging back, "You're welcome." He'd grown to trust her more, and have more feelings for her. He felt like they could be one. He didn't know if she had the same strange feelings like he did. He grew fond of her the more time they spent together. He smiled. He hadn't smiled this much before. He had no idea what he would do if he never met her, he probably wouldn't have felt this amazing feeling before.
"You know what?" She smiled, "How about you stay here for the night. My treat... Even if you live very close." She chuckled. "Shade...?" She looked up at him nervously, "I really just want to spend some more time with you... I don't know why, but..." She smiled again, genuinely happy, "It just feels right."
He smiles, "I know. I want to spend more time with you as well, and alright. I'll stay for the night if you want.
Venin nodded, "Good! I'll be right back." She went back to the chamber with her stuff in it, and drug something out of it. It took her several minutes but she eventually got it out. "I don't know if you saw it either or if you'd use it but..." She dropped a large piece of dragon armor on the ground outside, making the metal clang together, "You'd probably have more of a use for it than me... Think of it as a token of my appreciation." She beamed.
He smiles, "Thanks, are you sure you want me to have it?" Asked chuckling. Felt bad for taking it, though will if she really wanted him too. He liked it. He collected some of it, though felt bad for taking it.
"Sorry to just throw stuff in you like this... But..." She shook her head, "I'm sure. You would use it?!" She smiled, happy that he liked it. No no. It ok." Chuckles. "I just feel bad for taking it."
"Don't feel bad. I've been needing someone to take care of these things for awhile. I'm glad I could share it with you." She smiled warmly.
He smiled, "Thanks. I'm glad as well."
"Ooh! I have an idea!" She grinned, "We could go hunting!"
He smiles, "Alright. Good idea."
"Follow me." She smiled, walking past him. Her tail flicked a little. Once she was outside the cave, she spread her wings again. She looked back at him.
He smiled looking at her and did the same thing.
Venin left into the sky, roaring jubilantly. She flapped her wings to gain altitude until she just below the clouds. She checked on Shade's progress.
"There's a large pond several miles from there. The animals use it as a watering hole. There's also an open field if you'd rather go hunt deer."
Nods as he kept up, "Whatever you like."
"Right." Venin nodded looking down at him. She suddenly smirked, and flew up into the clouds when he wasn't looking.
