"I'm freaking exhausted!" Dani exclaimed as I unlocked and pushed open our door.

"My neck hurts" I said lazily, dropping my bag and plopping onto my bed. Finally I could relax after that horrible ride back. I swear Todd drove straight into every pothole on purpose.

"I enjoyed myself alot" Dani said, kicking off her sneakers and laying back on her bed.

"Aw I'm glad you did" I replied with a smile. I was nervous she wouldn't like my home but I guess I was mistaken.

"Now if you don't mind, I'd like to go to sleep. Todd was a pain this morning. It took everything in me not to throw him down the stairs. Seriously!" Dani ranted and I burst out laughing.

"Same, Dani. Same" I replied, feeling sleepy myself. My eyes were getting heavier the more I relaxed myself. In a few minutes I had drifted off into a deep sleep.

If it wasn't for my phone's pathetically loud buzzing, I would have slept longer.

"Urghh!" I groaned as I rolled over to pick it up.

I swiped and put it straight to my ear, not knowing who I was talking to.

"Um. ..hello" I said sleepily into the phone.

"Hi, Miss Kaia- it's James".

I opened my eyes and suddenly remembered why James would want to call me. Shit. I totally forgot.

"James. ..I'm so sorry I forgot to call you. I've been busy with my family" I said, truthfully. I feel bad though, for not taking time out to call him.

"Oh, that's fine. I really just need your answer, that's all" He said cheerfully.

I sat up in bed and raked my fingers through my hair. I was kind of nervous about what I was getting into.

"It's a yes, James" I said seriously. Still nervous inside.

"Oh that's great! I knew you'd come through. Say, can you meet me in an hour at Cardo's? We need to talk about the shoot" James asked.

"Sure but you'll have to pick me up, I don't have a car" I said, hoping he'd consider postponing this meeting because I'm drained right now.

"Fine, I'll come get you in a cab. Classy enough?" James joked and I chuckled like an idiot.

"Better than a bike, to be honest" I said before hanging up.

Great! Now I'll have to shower and dress up. Crap.

I crawled out of bed and walked towards my closet to find something to wear. After I opened it and stared at my outfits, my eyes began to droop and I was falling off to sleep again. Oh no, this isn't going to work.

I walked to the fridge and got out one of Dani's energy drinks. This should do the trick. I'll be wide awake in no time.
And just like it said 'instant energy' on the can, I was up like a mad bunny. I quickly scanned through my closet to find something good. I wanted to make an impression, even though it's just James. We were going to Cardo's after all, not a cheap diner. 

I settled on a pretty metallic green dress. It had a low cut front and spaghetti straps. Not really my style but ever since Dani gifted it to me, I haven't had the perfect occasion to wear it to.

I had a nice cold shower and got dressed. I wish I had more time to get ready, finding the perfect bra for this type of dress was hard. I had to dig through all my stuff until I found one.

As I'm putting on my makeup I could hear Dani stirring in her bed.

"Oh good lord! Someone looks hot!" Dani shouted and I jumped in suprise.

"Goodness, Dani! Warn me when you're going to have a sudden outburst like that, Jeez!" I said, trying to get my heart rate back to normal.

Dani jumped out of bed and walked towards me. She sat on the study table and scanned me from head to toe.

"Hmm. ..who's the guy? Is it As--Oh my gosh don't tell me it's Axel. ..is it?" Dani said, already jumping to conclusions.

"Actually, it's neither. I'm going to a meeting with James about my shoot" I said, trying to figure out which hairstyle makes me look more professional.

"Ooooh scandalous!" Dani hissed and I laughed out loud. I swear she's exaggerating, it's only a meeting. A professional one too.

"I'll see you later curly, I'm off" I said, blowing a kiss to her as I grabbed my clutch and walked out.

I waited just outside our dorm for James. He texted saying he was already on his way so he shouldn't be long now. I scrolled through social media, nothing interesting at-- hang on, looks like Todd met up with with a friend soon after. ..he dropped us here. What? So he really did have somewhere to be! I knew it! I so hope Dani sees this- Todd is gonna get it!

Suddenly my phone started vibrating, it was James. I swiped to answer his call.

"Where are you?" I asked impatiently. Growing frustrated the longer I stand here.

"I'm on my way, wait for me near the security area, be there in 2 minutes" He said before hanging up.

You have got to be kidding me. I have to walk all the way to the entrance. Dammit James!

I began walking slowly, not wanting to break a sweat. Good thing I had a nice cold shower or I would already be sweaty by now. As I approached our old dorm I think of all the good times I had here before moving to our new room. I think about the first day I arrived, when I didn't know what my life here would be like.

On cue, I see a car coming through the entrance. Thank goodness! I don't have to walk anymore.  Yessss!

The cab pulls up opposite the dorms so I quickly walk over. Soon as I reach, the door opens and James steps out.

"Kaia! You look. ..amazing!" He said, giving me a hug.

"Thank you, James. Shall we?" I asked.

"We shall" He replied, stepping aside so I could get in.

When we arrived at Cardo's, James had a table reserved for us. Good thing too because the place was quite crowded. We sat at a little table in the corner, it was very excluded which I liked. I hated being around so much people.

"Fancy some pizza?" James asked, flipping through the menu. I picked up mine and casually flipped to the pizza section, deciding on what to get.

"We could get a large and half the toppings, you get your favorite and I'll get mine" I said, smiling at James.

"Sounds good" He said, closing the menu and signalling for the waitress.

She smiled as soon as she saw James signal to her and made her way swiftly towards us with a notepad and pen.

"Good evening, I'm Alexis. May I take your order please?" She asked politely.

"Yeah. ..we'd like a large pizza" James said.

"One large pizza.. topping choice?" She asked, looking at me.

"Oh, half of it meatlovers please" I said politely.

"And the other half Hawaiian" James added.

Hawaiian. ..seriously, James?

"Alright, 20 minutes tops" she said, walking away from our table.

"She seems nice" I said, eyeing James.

"Mm.. decent enough but not really my type, looks like she's been around" He said, looking at her as she took orders at another table.

I chuckled a bit at what he said then plastered a serious look on my face again. Crap. I'm supposed to be acting professional.

"So when will we get into the actual purpose of the meeting?" I asked, sipping my water. This started to feel awkward, sitting here and not saying or doing anything.

"After dinner, but we can talk about a bit right now" He said with his best smile.

"Okay, so where do we start?" I asked, shifting a bit in my seat. Can he tell that I'm nervous and I've never done this before?

"Alright, well. ..have you ever thought about getting into modelling before?".

"Um.. never. I'm an artist, not a model" I replied.

"Okay, well just to let you know. The shoot will be done in a few places. First will be at my apartment".

"And how long will it take?" I asked. I hope it doesn't take more than two weeks, I have exams coming up.

"A week or so. ..yeah" He said with a smile.

"Sounds good" I replied. Okay, this is going well, I'm not so nervous anymore.

Just as our conversation died down, our pizza arrived.

Wow. Has it been 20 minutes already? That was quick.

"Dig in, darlin'" James said, ready to devour this yummy pizza. The smell was absolutely to die for. It's no wonder this place was always packed with people.

Half an hour later we were done and James was ready to order dessert. I had enough pizza and I  wasn't too sure if I could pack away dessert too, but James insisted on ordering chocolate mousse so I said yes.
