Kaia's P.O.V:
I can't control my anger when I see that girl walk in. If I knew she would be here I wouldn't have agreed to come. I feel like walking up to her and giving her a tight slap, but Ash's mom is here and I don't want to cause a scene. We only just met and I want her to like me.

I take a sip of my water and continue to look down. I hope she doesn't speak to me, that's the last thing I want.

I finished off the rest of my plate in silence. I didn't want to look up because if I looked at Yvonne, I might just snap. She sat beside Shawn with a fake smile and the first person she glanced at was me. I could feel her eyes on me the entire time she was eating but I didn't want to lock eyes with her, I just looked elsewhere.

After dinner, Ash helped his mom clear up so he asked me to wait for him on the balcony. I got up from my seat and walked over to the door, sliding it open and walking out.

The night was beautiful, there were lots of stars in the sky. The air was cool but I didn't mind, it helped cool down my anger.

"Lovely night ay?" Someone said.

I turned around to see Axel coming up to me with two glasses of champagne in his hands.

"Yeah, great night" I said, accepting a glass from him.
I immediately took a sip. Oh yum.

"So, where you from Miss Kaia?" Axel asks with a smile. He really looks like Ash, but a bit older.

"I'm from Eastbrook, about 2 and a half hours away from here" I replied.

"Wow. Eastbrook? Beautiful little town" Axel said.

"Yeah, it's lovely, especially during summer" I said.

"Mm, yeah" Axel said, sipping his drink.

I look out to the other houses, they all looked the same, massive. I took a seat on the outdoor couch and turned to Axel who was leaning on the balcony.

"How long will you be here for?" I asked curiously.

He finished off his drink before replying.

"About a month or so, not quite sure love" He said.

"Oh alright. Well, I bet Ash must be excited to see you, right?" I said with a smile, remembering how Ash told me how close he used to be with his brother before their family got split apart.

Axel sighed before answering my question.
"I don't think he's happy to see me. I mean maybe he does, but we insult each other so much, it's kinda hard to tell" He laughed.

Axel told me a few stories of when they were younger. He told me about how Ash was obsessed with hairspray in middle school and how he would steal Axel's girls in high school. Looks like he had quite the reputation.

I look inside towards the dining area and notice Yvonne talking to Shawn and James. She flips her colored hair a lot of times. Probably deciding which one of them she's taking home.

"You don't like her much?" Axel asks and I jump because he's now right next to me on the couch.

"Hate her, actually" I replied.

"Mm yeah, I have that vibe too. Not a very good one" He said, eyeing Yvonne.

"Why did your mom invite her here? I understand Shawn and James, but why her?" I asked.

"Well darling, it's shocking to hear but Yvonne was once a very close friend" Axel replied.

My eyes went wide with shock. How can she be a close friend when she tried to ruin me and Ash? Some friend she is.

"She was a mate up until about 3 years ago, mum had already left for England, I stayed back a year. She complicated things by shagging most of the guys. Our friends" Axel spilled.

"Wow, and then what happened?" I asked, getting interested in this story.

"Well, silly Ashton there was in love with her and she played him like a violin, the sl*t" He said.

"From then on he realised she just sleeps around with whoever she pleases, whether you're in love with her or you would die for her- she couldn't care any less" He spat in disgust.

Wow. Ash and Yvonne. Who would have thought. Well, no wonder she's out to get me, she must be finally responding to Ash's love from years ago. Just when I'm in the picture.
Well, she's got another thing coming!

"Let's change the topic, I hate talking about that skank" Axel laughed and I can't help but laugh too, he looked like he could strangle her by her long locks.

"Okay, what did you have in mind?" I said, shifting in my seat.

"Baby stories, but first- let me get us a refill" Axel said before jotting off inside for more drinks.

I sit and wonder what's taking Ash so long. Maybe he's catching up with his mom, I should let them be.
I glance inside and see James and Shawn sitting in the living room, each holding a bottle of beer.
Where is Yvonne?

"I'm backkk!" Axel says in a funny voice.

He hands me my glass already filled and sets down the bottle on the small glass table.

"Did you see Ash in there?" I asked.

"Oh yeah, he's in the kitchen with mum, and that b***h!" Axel said,  taking a seat next to me.

"Oh" I said quietly, taking a sip of my drink.

"Don't worry love, I won't let Yvonne steal that twat away from you" Axel reassured me.

"Thanks. You know,  you're not so bad" I said, giving him a smile.

Axel's eyes went wide in suprise.
"Wow! Who said I was bad?" Axel asked.

"No one" I muttered, looking the other way.

I think Axel heard me because few seconds later we burst out laughing.

Ash's P.O.V:
What the fuck is she trying to prove? It's been almost an hour, sitting on this damn stool in this fucking kitchen. I want to go to Kaia. She must be tired of waiting for me.

"Mother, why are you keeping me in here? I have to be out there, I came with Kaia mum, I didn't come alone" I said.

"Nonsense, you and Yvonne can keep me company here, your brother can see to it that Kaia is enjoying herself" she said with a smile.

"Yeah, don't worry Ash. Axel is with Kaia" Yvonne said, batting her false lashes at me.

"I didn't fucking ask for your opinion, Yvonne. Shut up!" I spat. Why the fuck does she think she's something here?

"That's not the way you talk to your friends, Ash" mum said, glaring at me. I'm not bloody interested, I just keep looking out towards the dining area, maybe I can catch a glimpse of Kaia.

"Look, you two can catch up and tell stories, I don't care. My mates are out there and my girlfriend is with my idiotic brother, I'm going" I said, before standing up.

"Okay then, take Yvonne with you" mum suggests. Oh my fucking god, what is wrong with this woman? And why does she keep pushing me to Yvonne for fucks sake?!

"Whatever" I said, leaving the room.

Yvonne follows me close behind.  I can hear the annoying clicking of her heels.

"Ashton, wait" she calls out. By now I'm at the dining table, about to make my way outside.

Fuck this feels like a fucking maze, Kaia is there and I'm trying to fucking get to her but there's so many wrong turns like mum and Yvonne, keeping me away.

"What?!" I said, glaring into her piercing blue eyes.

"You don't have to be so mean. If I knew she was going to be here, I wouldn't have came" Yvonne said.

"Oh save your bullshit for my mother! I don't fucking believe a thing" I spat.

"Why can't we be friends Ash? We were once the best of friends, you, me, that b***h Elena..." she trailed off.

"You leave Elena out of this, unlike you- she's still my friend" I said, pointing a finger at her.

Yvonne glances over my shoulder, in the direction of the balcony and sighs.

"Alright, fine. I'm sorry! For everything that's happened between us. I miss you as a friend" Yvonne said.

I look at her and I can't believe she thinks I'm that dumb.

"Quit fucking playing, Yvonne. It's not funny" I said.

"It's true. I'm so sorry about not accepting your love. Maybe that's why I hate Kaia. But I want us to be friends. All 3 of us" she said with a smile.

What the fuck is going on.

I turn around and look outside, I can't see Kaia or Axel, maybe they moved places. I turn back to Yvonne who now has the whole waterworks going. Oh fuck me!

I hate when girls do this. I feel as if I'm responsible. Oh fuck this girl! I feel like strangling her while she's forcing tears out like that. Dramatic bitch.

"Please accept my apology, I really am sorry Ash" she fake cried. I roll my eyes at her.

Mum appears from the kitchen and signals for me to make the girl stop crying.

I can't believe I'm doing this.
"Okay,  okay. Apology accepted, now will you stop fucking crying?" I said.

Suddenly her scary blue eyes lit up and she flung her arms around me.
"Yes! We're friends again!" She squealed.
I removed her arms from me and took a step back.

"You won't regret being my friend again" she said.

All of a sudden she pressed her body on mine and forcefully kissed me.

What the fuck?!?!?!

I quickly pushed her away from me before wiping my mouth. Fuck!
I look at mum who is now smiling. What the fuck?!
Yvonne is looking to the right. What the fuck was she smiling at?!

Kaia's P.O.V:
After an hour of laughing and telling stories outside, it was getting chilly so Axel and I decided to join Shawn and James in the living room.

I made my way inside while Axel stepped out to have a smoke. James smiled at me and offered me another drink,  I kindly declined because Axel and I had just finished a whole bottle of champagne to ourselves.

Soon Axel joined us again, he had more stories to tell. This time even Shawn and James were laughing.

That's when it happened. I was going to check on Ash in the kitchen.

"Hey, where you going?" Axel asked me.

"Just to check on Ash" I replied, standing on my feet.

"Okay, I'll come with you" He insisted.

"Okay" I replied.

We walked out of the living room, passed the large staircase in the middle of the house and there he was. Standing in the dining area. With Yvonne's tongue down his throat.

I felt as if my breath stopped completely. This was the last thing I expected. Ash saw me and his eyes went wide with shock. He quickly dropped his head, probably looking for an explanation. But I didn't need to hear it. In a flash I walked to the front door and let myself out. I ran down the driveway, my eyes already welling up with tears. Within seconds it poured down my face, washing away my makeup. I didn't hold it back, I didn't want to.

We literally just got back together. He promised no more secrets. I'm so blind.

I walk in the opposite direction we came from. I have no idea where it leads to. Few seconds later I hear a bike, I swear if this is Ash- I'll slap him.

It stops just beside me and I'm surprised to see that it wasn't Ash.

"Need a ride?" Axel asked.

"Yes please" I answered.
