Important People in Tommy's Life

Pete's POV
The streets in Tommy City were WAY cleaner than the streets in London. Everything here was clean and organized. What made this city even weirder (in a good way) is that the sewers smelled like baked beans.

I was safely inside the side pockets of Kevin's backpack. Good thing I can see right through them.

We passed by shops and homes, Tommy said he was going to tell us stories about each of the places and people. Apparently, he knew most of the people and experienced events with them when he was deaf, dumb, and blind.

I knew who these people were going to be, but I just listened to Tommy's story to see if it was similar to the events and characters in my album, Tommy.

Tommy stopped us and we stood in front of an apartment. He didn't let us go inside though.
"This is where my uncle lives... he just drinks beer sometimes with egg... Ick! and watches the telly all day."

I think I knew which uncle he meant.

"His name is Ernie, and I had a very disturbing past with him... I shouldn't talk about it, you wouldn't want to know. All I can tell you is that it was a scary moment since I couldn't hear and see what he was doing to me " He shook his head and pretended  to gag.

The Doc patted his back and said "I'm so sorry about this happening to you."

"No need to be sorry" Tommy flipped his curly hair majestically. Woah I'm jealous.

We continued walking on the street, but I turned around to get a quick look of the apartment. Bad decision.

I looked at the small window on the right of the apartment.
Oh my. I saw the face of a man peeping out the window. He glared at me creepily and started laughing... he was missing two teeth.

I turned around quickly, scared as hell.

Tommy told us to cross the street and we stood in front of another building, but it was smaller.

"This is the place where I first did drugs. But I didn't know... It felt like my spirit was leaving my body, and I saw lots of weird trippy things, y'know?"

We all grinned and looked at each other. "Yeah, we know"

He chuckled. "But it was different. The Acid Queen injected me with acid."

Tommy went inside and minutes later came out with a huge syringe in his hands.

"This is what she used to inject me, but don't worry it's empty."

Kevin screeched. "CAN I HAVE IT?"

"You are the last person I would give this to, you still have a little bully inside of you and I don't want you to hurt anyone.."

Kevin frowned but he understood. Instead, Tommy put the syringe in his pocket. God, he must have big pockets!

"Where's the Acid Queen?"

Tommy turned around to face me. "She lives with her husband, he's a preacher, and they are a rich couple. I visit them occasionally. But I think they are on a vacation at Australia!"

Koalas. I could only think of koalas because they also have a big nose like me.

"There's one more place I would like to show you... it's very important to me" Tommy lead us up a huge green hill.

After 25 minutes of exhaustion, we arrived at our destination. A cemetery.

Tommy lead us to a huge cross with roses around it and 2 small graves next to it.

"This cross honors my father who fought during World War II. He was murdered by my step-father. The two are the graves of my mother and step- father. They were murdered by an angry mob."  He looked down and sighed. Kevin grabbed something from his backpack and pulled out some roses. He set down one of them by each grave.
"They were going to be for Sally, but I think they deserved it more..."

Tommy gave him a small smile. "Thank you, cousin."

Doc took off his hat and offered Tommy his condolences.

A tear escaped from my eye. Tommy had the saddest life but he still managed to make people happy and smile with his loving personality.

We stood there staring at the graves quietly. The clouds were all gathering and the sky turned gray.
The thought of Tommy losing his family reminded me of my family. What if I lost Karen and Emma? Will I turn back to normal and be with them? What if I never got to see them ever again? My thoughts were interrupted when I felt a drop in my face.
It started to rain.

We walked back to the city and took a taxi to Tommy's house. We decided to continue our adventure tomorrow morning or when the weather was better for us to walk.

This adventure to the Pinball Wizard was going to take longer than I thought...
