After getting a two day break till the day of the gathering, Naruto was left completely jobless and bored on the second day.

The first day he slept tons and eat even more, resting well enough to feel even more energetic the next day.

He was definitely grateful for the much needed break at first, especially because he understood that they were being considerate towards him as he looked visibly miserable when he returned from the last mission, after everything that had happened.

But now, he was just bored, so very bored.

Even Sasuke was away on a mission alone, since Naruto was on a break he couldn't tag along.

He had nothing to do, nothing at all.

He layed sprawled out on his bed. Staring at the ceiling and wondering when Sasuke would return.

He could just go help Jiraiya at the bar but he felt that it would make the word "break" lose it's meaning. And he didn't want to make the old man feel more concerned for him.

This past whole month Naruto was kept busy with that training-regimen-from-hell, and partnering up with Sasuke to watch him do his work, so he felt more jobless than usual right now.

So bored~

It was already late in the evening and Sasuke was yet to return, what's taking the teme so long~

Just as he was wondering this, he heard a door open and close.

Naruto immediately shot up and out of bed, opening his own room's door and taking just a few steps forward to reach the door to Sasuke's room.

He knocked eagerly. Feeling restless.

Sasuke opened his door, standing in front of the blonde now in all his shirtless glory.

Naruto visibly stiffened.

Sasuke smirked, "I'll be changing now, you can come in if you want", he walked back in, casually starting to unzip his pants.

Naruto's eyes widened before he hurriedly shut the door with a loud 'bang' and rushed off into his own room.

He could faintly hear Sasuke's laughter as he rushed off and pouted at his own stupidity as he flopped on his bed, and layed on his stomach to bury his face in his pillow.

Sasuke was so kind and caring that day so he almost forgot what a tease that jerk can be!

Ughhhhh! Embarrassing! Why does he have to be so good looking?! ..It was bad for Naruto's heart and sanity.

He heard a knock on his door after a while but refused to get off his bed and called out, "It's not locked", still laying on his stomach but looking back towards the door.

He saw the tease of a raven greet him with a smirk as he entered. And pouted again.

Sasuke chuckled, looking at the cute blonde pout even more cutely, and sat down on the bed in front of the laying blonde.

Naruto sat up, rearranging his pillow to make it a backrest and sat while leaning back on it, "Why'd you return so late? Was it a difficult mission?", he questioned curiously.

Sasuke moved to sit right next to the blonde, leaning on the headrest of the bed, "Nah, just had to stakeout for a while so it took longer", he answered honestly, making Naruto look at him with an  'O' face. He smiled.

Their shoulders were rubbing against eachother slightly, Sasuke moved even closer leaving no space between them.

Naruto blushed, not knowing why. But he definitely didn't hate it so he stayed still, letting Sasuke stick close to him. His heart felt really weird though? He decided not to think about it.

While he was spacing out, Sasuke had taken his phone out and started playing a random game on it.

Naruto slowly laid his head on the raven's shoulder, peeking into his phone as he played on it.

Sasuke smiled again, feeling so happy with just this simple action from the blonde.

They stayed like this for a long time, till they had to go down to have their dinner.

Naruto noticed a new face had joined them today, sitting next to Kiba who was happily chatting away.

When he noticed the blonde come in with the raven following closely behind, the brunette excitedly waved at them both shouting out, "Hey! Is it true that you guys hooked up?!", his eyes glinted with curiosity.

Naruto stumbled comically, eyes widened enough to fall out and mouth agape.

Sasuke smirked knowingly, and asked, "Was it Sakura or Ino?", Shino snorted, while Kiba who sat next to him burst out laughing, saying "Both!"

Sasuke casually strolled over to the table they sat at, still smirking and moved further in to sit at his usual place.

Naruto shyly and awkwardly followed after to sit next to him.

"So?", Kiba persisted, mainly shooting teasing glaces at Naruto.

Sasuke quickly and casually denied  it, as if it was a matter of fact, "Of course not, you actually believed those fangirls?", amusedly smirking.

For just a moment, Naruto felt a tiny stinging pain in his chest. But didn't think much about it.

Kiba was clicking his tongue, exaggerating his dissapointment, "Tch! It would've been good if it were true!", he continued with a playful teasing tone, smirking like a wolf, "You guys actually make a cute couple, not to mention Sasuke The Jerk is only nice to our cute blonde here, I don't blame those girls for shipping you guys!", he laughed again.

Naruto blushed, hearing that Sasuke's only nice to him and that they make a cute couple made him kinda happy but heck, he'll never admit it!

Sasuke just 'hn'ed' before looking at Shino and changing this dangerous topic - anymore than this will make his feelings too obvious to the blonde after all, "It's your first time meeting him, right?", he asked the silent boy, getting a nod in return.

Kiba quickly distracted by this new topic, excitedly took on the role of introducing them to each other.

Aburame Shino was originally in charge of clean-ups along with Sai and Kankuro, but due to a mix-up he ended up partnering with Kiba for just this mission.

Kiba went on to talk about how they had to dress up like highschoolers and go to an internet cafe for two evenings to stalk the target and  find his hideout.

He was laughing at his own stupidity as he talked about how he got too distracted by the game he was playing and had to be dragged away by shino to follow the target.

Jiraiya who'd bought in their dinner by then, listened with a strange glint in his eyes that said he will definitely lecture him later on. Kiba shivered. Hurriedly trying to finish up his dinner and escape outta there before that.

After dinner, Shino watched on amusedly as Kiba was caught by Jiraiya and getting lectured, Naruto shot him a pitying gaze before hurriedly following Sasuke back to their rooms.

He wondered if the raven would hate it if he wanted to spend more time with him before bed.

He felt like they'd gotten closer after the last mission so he decided to bravely voice out, "Can I come to your room tonight?", hmm? Why did it sound so wrong?

Apparently Sasuke felt so too, as he looked at the blonde visibly shocked.

Naruto blushed realizing why it sounded wrong and hurriedly explained, "No! I mean, I'm not sleepy yet cause I slept a lot yesterday so I thought that maybe we could hang out?!"

Sasuke chuckled, "Sure, come on in", as he opened the door to his room and walked in.

They decided to watch a movie on Sasuke's laptop.

Getting under the blanket and cuddling up, with Sasuke's arm around Naruto's shoulders, and Naruto's head resting on Sasuke's shoulder.

Eventually Naruto fell asleep on him, and Sasuke put his laptop away and let him sleep in his room for the night.

He happily snuggled his blonde as he fell asleep, completely forgetting that the end of the month meeting that's held tomorrow, is in the morning.. Oh well! At least he locked the door!
