Chapter Twenty : True Match
Crown Princess Amalia Star In New L’Oréal “True Match” Commercial
The cosmetics company says it "celebrates the power and beauty of feeling comfortable in your own skin."
Hari Nef appears in a new campaign for L’Oreal, the makeup company’s first spot to include a transgender model.
L’Oréal’s “Your Skin, Your Story” campaign, which debuted during the Golden Globes on Sunday, features a variety of men and women of different sizes and colors, representing the 33 shades of the brand’s True Match foundation.
A very pregnant Crown Princess Amalia also appears in the “Your Skin, Your Story” campaign.
“L’Oréal Paris is a brand fueled by a mission to empower everyone to own and embrace their individual beauty and intrinsic worth,” said L’Oréal’s Tim Coolican. “By featuring a diverse blend of individuals and illustrating their individual skin stories, our new True Match campaign celebrates the power and beauty of feeling comfortable in your own skin.”
Slowly but surely, mainstream cosmetics companies have been branching out to welcome LGBT people into their marketing campaigns—from Ellen DeGeneres doing CoverGirl ads to Andrea Pejic signing on with Make Up for Ever.
Maybelline recently added social media influencer Manny Mua as its first male spokesperson.

Crown Princess Amalia Maternity Leave Begins December 30:
If any mommies-to-be are looking for flexible employers during the harrowing post-pregnancy period, perhaps they should give duchessdom a try. Reports have surfaced that the palace will allow Crown Princess Amalia to take maternity leave, according to an anonymous source who spoke to The Mirror on Sunday.
“Amalia has really enjoyed her job and wanted to work as close to the birth date as possible,” the source said, but as you may recall, she is prone to pregnancy-related illness. December 30 will mark Crown Princess Amalia‘s “last official solo engagement,” when she is slated to christen a cruise ship. Birth date bettors, take note.
“She takes her royal role very seriously and is looking forward to taking up her duties when her maternity leave has finished,” the source said. Perhaps ribbon-cutting and wand waving are more arduous occupations than one might think.
In the past, royals with newborns have taken time off from their duties, as Amalia is predicted to do. But Princess Diana bucked tradition when she brought William along a royal tour to Australia in March 1983, when the prince was just eight months old. “Whereas the Queen was left in England with her nanny for weeks at a time when her parents embarked on lengthy overseas tours,” the Telegraph points out, “the prospect of the Duke and Duchess’s baby being left behind would be unthinkable in the 21st century.”
We’re happy to hear that Amalia is taking precautions to ensure that she and her offspring are in good health, but pretty bummed that we might not have any royal baby sightings until 2019 at the earliest... unless the duchess takes her child with her on a trip abroad. Let’s cross our fingers and hope Miguel and Amalia follow William and Kate’s footsteps to the US.

The next several months flew by for the royal couple as Miguel being Crown Prince was busier than ever while Amalia was growing more pregnant by the week. She was now eight and half months pregnant and well into her third trimester. Her mood swings driving the entire palace out of their sanity, some of the time. Miguel didn't mind it as he was always gone but whenever he did return to his wife he was very pleased to be welcome by her sweet kisses.
"I missed you too, Amalia!" Miguel laughed relieved to be back in the presence of his wife.
"Don't you ever leave me again," Amalia hugged him tighter. "Not with your mother at least." Amalia said.
"I thought you two got along now." Miguel said.
"Oh, we do!" Amalia said, "But every time we're around each other she wants to stuff food in my mouth." Amalia said.
Miguel laughed a little.
"It isn't funny!" Amalia playfully shoved at him. "And she keeps mentioning how she gained eighty—" She said.
"Eighty pounds with me. Yes, I know. She only wants you to be healthy." Miguel said.
"I don't want to gain eighty pounds and push out a forty pound baby!" Amalia said.
"You're fine," He kissed her on the forehead. "And I was ten pounds, not forty." Miguel said.
"You looked about forty pounds on that family portrait," Amalia joked. "And if I see that damn art room one more time…" Amalia said.
"The artso hall? My mother spent a lot of her pregnancy with me in that room." Miguel said.
"So I've heard," Amalia crossed her arms. "Look, I respect and love your mother, but can you please tell her that I don't want to constantly stare at paintings all day? The first time was nice but after sitting in the damn room for hours at a time while you were out on business can get sickening. I almost threw up in the room today." Amalia said.
"I thought that you were passed our morning sickness phase?" Miguel asked.
"I am, when I eat in the middle of the night, now look, tell your mother that sitting in that blue room all day makes me sick in the stomach." Amalia said.
Miguel knew that it was hormones talking and that he should definitely tell his mother about inviting Amalia into the room less often.
Taking her hands and kissing them he said, "I'll mention it to her during dinner."
"Thank you." Amalia said.
"Did you know after you have a baby you wear a diaper?" Miguel asked.
"Seriously?" I asked.
"Yeah, your period is like so heavy that a pad can't support it after you have a baby." He replied.
"Well, I'm fucked." I said checking my phone.
"No we're fucked. That means I have to change your diaper too." He said.
"Haha, very funny." I said.
