11: Clash At The Wedding

----

"Marriages, like a garden take time to grow, but the harvest is rich onto those who patiently and tenderly take care of the ground."

I comprehend the simple yet meaningful sentence for the last time before closing the book I was looking through earlier. The three days passed as if they were on a fast forward motion to reach the day when I would vow to become Taemin's better half.

Things went on pretty well for the past days. Both of my parents barely taunted me or ordered me around, all thanks to my sweetest soon to be mother-in-law. It was somehow disturbing at first that how both of them agreed on what Mrs. Hyun said. Maybe they made up their mind to put on a nice attitude with me, as I would be leaving them in a few days.

I kept on noticing them scoffing and blabbering bad about me when I was not around, according to them. Anyhow, good for me that at least they weren't doing that in front of me.

-Present Time-

"Hurry up, will you? We are getting late. HaeMi would be waiting for us!" mother kept on shouting while I hurriedly collected my things. I would have gathered my things perfectly on time, but mother's constant shouts made it difficult which raised the panic inside me.

"If you don't kick out this laziness element from yourself, Taemin would regret marrying a sloth like you. Don't ruin his life missy," mother taunted as venom spilled out with every word she spoke. The drive towards Taemin's house was silent, except mother and father exchanging some talks.

Sooner with luck we arrived at the Hyun Resident, all thanks to the low traffic.

The place was no less than a castle itself. With tall, white pillars supporting the main gate and then the house inside looked extremely breathtaking. We were welcomed by Mr and Mrs Hyun with a lovely bouquet of flowers. After that I was greeted by Mr. Hyun with a loving pat on my head and a warm hug by Mrs. Hyun.

"Today my honey will dress up in the most beautiful attire and the sparkle of makeup will double her beauty. Oh my Taemin is definitely going to drool over you Eunhae...believe me, he is momma's shy boy," Mrs. Hyun whispered the last part and I giggled, hiding the reddish bloom on my cheeks.

"Let's go, the makeup artists are waiting for you." And I was dragged upstairs to a room where, to my surprise a large dressing room was arranged and two lady makeup artists were waiting for me.

"Ahemm!" Mrs. Hyun fake cleared her throat to catch the attention of the ladies who were having a talk. "Sorry madam! We were uh...too lost in our conversation," one of them said and the other one just nodded her head. "It's fine ladies. So, here is our daughter in law and I want perfect makeup and jewelry setting on her. Do it the way she says," Mrs. Hyun spoke and then left me alone with the makeup artists.

"Let's start, shall we?" I asked and they both made me sit in front of a large mirror. "What's your name ma'am?" the first lady who spoke earlier asked. "Sorry for not introducing myself. My name is Kim EunHae and please don't refer me as ma'am," said and they sheepishly smiled.

"I'm Choi Hana." "And my name is Choi Sana." They both introduced themselves. "Wait a minute! Are you girls twins? You kind of have the same name and somehow similar features. Or am I mistaken?" I asked, looking surprised. "Yeah we are twins, actually Seoul's only lady twin makeup artists," Hana said and I nodded my head feeling amused.

"I prefer that you should wear your dress first, so that the makeup and hairstyle would not get messy," Sana suggested and I opened the big closet where my dress was arranged neatly. With the help of the twins I fitted myself inside the heavy gown.

"Beautiful..." The world trailed out of both of their mouths.

Soon the makeup started and I clearly advised them to apply a simple makeup. "Why? Heavy makeup will look best on you Eunhae," Hana asked. "Well, I've never done heavy makeup in my life and I think light one now suits me the best. Please go with the light makeup," I requested and they did as I said.

-An Hour Later-

Sana finished setting my hair and Hana finalized the makeup with light pink lipstick. I admired myself in the mirror. "Hm...something is missing," Sana said while stroking her chin. "It's the necklace and earrings dummy!' Hana said and her twin rushed off to get my jewelry set. Soon, the necklace was slid on my neck and the shiny earrings dangled from my earlobes. Lastly, I wore my white heels, making my attire complete.

"Just like the moon has itself landed on the Earth," Sana said while gawking at me and Hana closed her mouth. "Shut your cave like mouth sissy or a fly will have a free resident inside it," she said and the room erupted with our laughs.

"How much more time?" I asked looking at the big grandfather clock at the end of the room. "I don't know, let's go and ask the senior madam." With that the twins left the room leaving me alone. Once again I walked in front of the mirror and checked myself out from head to toe.

Today a new chapter would start of my life where I would live as a queen of somebody's life, or am I just assuming things like Petty the milkmaid who made so many assumptions about herself and then had to face the consequences after spilling the pail of milk because of her imagination.

I sensed the door being opened and there stood my parents, the makeup twins and my parents in law. Mrs. Hyun, being the caring and polite lady, walked towards me first and caressed my face with her dainty fingers. "My angel..." she said and I noticed the motherly sparkle in her eyes.

I looked at my parents with hope that they would come and say something nice to me. And then I saw my mother coming towards me with slow steps. Mrs. Hyun stepped aside, making way for my mother. The next thing she did shocked me.

Mother hugged me.

I tried to comprehend what was happening. I brought up my hands to hug her back but stopped when she whispered something in my ear,"Don't think I'd ever love you. I'm only doing it so that Haemi and her husband wouldn't think anything bad of me, understand?" She said while secretly gripping my arm and I fizzed.

"What happened Eunhae?" Mr. Hyun asked and mother glared at me before breaking the hug. "Uh...nothing...my heels just hurt a bit," I said, trying my best not to stutter. "Let's go Eunhae, Taemin is waiting for you," Mrs. Hyun said and I nodded.

"Come on Mr. Kim, link your arm with your daughter's ," Mr. Hyun said and I hesitantly looked at my father. "Well, Mr. Hyun it's one of our family customs that the daughter walk behind her parents. So, I would like to follow the same rule here as well," father told Mr. Hyun and he nodded, leaving me hurt for the millionth time.

"Good Luck and congratulations Eunhae," both twins said and I muttered them a light thank you before heading out of the room behind everyone. I carefully stepped down the staircase, afraid that I would slip down and another drama will be caused.

Soon, all of us walked out of the big back-gate and towards the back of the house. I saw the whole arrangements made there. The aisle was set up magnificently and the sets were arranged in rows beside it. A white carpet was laid for me to walk on and at the end of it stood Taemin, waiting for me.

The light music began to play and both my parents marched on the carpet with me following behind with flowers in my hand which I was handed earlier. The guests stood up showing respect and carried baskets of white flowers. On the turn of my each step, I was welcomed with a drizzle of white flowers which looked heavenly.

In a matter of minutes, I was standing in front of Taemin. My heart hate increased when he lifted up my veil and stroked my rosy cheeks. "My everything," he said pecked my forehead, causing thousands of butterflies to explode in my stomach.

"Kim EunHae, do you take Hyun Taemin as your lawfully wedded husband to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part?" The priest asked and I nodded my headed.

"I do!"

"Hyun Taemin, do you take Kim EunHae as your lawfully wedded wife to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part?"

"I certainly do!"

"You may now kiss the bride gentleman."

My eyes took seconds to blink and to witness the scene that happened right before me. Just as Taemin stepped forward to kiss me, a bullet came in contact with his chest and he fell down in my footsteps.

Just in a few seconds the hall erupted in screams and cries. Mr and Mrs. Hyun rushed towards their son who now laid in his own pool of blood. I was too traumatized to comprehend what was happening. It felt as if my feet had stuck on the ground, preventing me to take any step further.

My mother shook me violently and I weakly fell beside Taemin and put his head on my lap. Tears were uncontrollably streaming down my face. "T..Taemin w..wake up please. D..don't leave u..us! B..be strong! SOMEONE CALL THE AMBULANCE!" I cried and Taemin coughed while holding his chest.

"No one will save him now!" A voice boomed and we turned around to see the source. My eyes widened to see who he was. Jeon Jungkook and his gang. "WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY SON?" Mr. Hyun said and walked towards him. "Mr. Hyun come back he is very dangerous!" My mother shrieked.

"Hyungs please take care of the guests around here I have some important work with some people around here."

I watched how Jungkook pointed his gun on Mr. Hyun's forehead and caused him to walk backwards. "Don't interrupt us now old man. We have a business to take care of," Jungkook said in his evil voice. "Please leave us alone! You have already killed my son leave my family," Mrs. Hyun cried badly and clasped her shaky hands in front of him, begging for mercy.

"I am not doing anything to you Hyun HaeMi. I just need to talk with Kim Mira and take her precious, unaccepted Kim EunHae with me," Jungkook said and I gulped.

He marched towards me and I stood up. "Don't you dare touch me! How dare you kill my husband in front of me? What gives you the permission to do so? Ruining my life in campus and now ruining my wedding!? WHAT DO YOU WANT JEON JUNGKOOK!" I screamed my lungs out and he harshly grabbed my jaw, forcing me to stop talking.

"First of all, you don't have permission to talk with me like that. Secondly, know your limits and third if you want your answers ASK YOUR MOTHER!" he yelled and pushed me in the steps of my mother. I looked up only to be met by mother's nervous face.

I spared a glance at Mr and Mrs. Hyun who were holding their son's dead body. Tears escaped the cage of my eyes again and I ran towards Taemin's dead body. I trailed my fingers on his calm face and cried my heart out. "You promised to never hurt me, never leave me, but look what just happened!? You broke me like every other person out there!"

"Shut with this drama!" Jungkook shouted and forced me to stand up by grabbing my arm. "Now ask your precious mother why you belong to me," he said and I stared at my mother's sweaty face, waiting for answers.

"I..I don't k..know what are y..you talking about," mother stuttered and Jeon instantly put his gun on mother's head. "SPEAK UP OR OTHERWISE IT WOULDN'T TAKE ME A SECOND TO PIERCE THIS METAL IN YOUR BRAIN!"

Mother gulped and then looked at me and then at her husband. She ran towards my father and begged him," I know nothing! Save me from him!" she cried and father hugged her for protection.

"GET AWAY FROM MY WIFE BOY!"

I took advantage of the moment and secretly slipped out of heels before dashing out of the area. "Hyung she is escaping, get her!" Jungkook shouted at his men and I increased my speed, hopeful to get out of the main gate, but luck wasn't on my side and the big gown didn't help me either and I was caught by one of his men.

"Take your hands off me! I will mhmmm!!" And the guy put his big strong hand on my mouth, preventing me to speak any further. He dragged me towards Jungkook and he took a strong hold of me. "You made this mistake once, don't do it twice or I will make you regret it! And thank you SeokJin Hyung."

I saw my father tied up and mother had few cuts on her face. Mr and Mrs. Hyun were lying on the floor which I assume were knocked out. "Are you going to tell the truth to your daughter or should I do it and let you die in grief? My beloved aunt." Jungkook asked and she shook her head.

"I will tell! But please don't hurt me anymore!" mother said while crying. She sniffled and said," Jungkook is your husband and from the day you were born, you were tied in a marriage with him." "H..how can you s...say this? Do you know him?" I asked in a quivering tone as mother rubbed her face and exhaled heavily.

"Jeon Jungkook is my nephew and YOU are his wife!" she said. At that moment I wished so badly that my sense of hearing remained no more. "How come I-" Jungkook didn't let me finish and grabbed my mother by her hair and yanked them. "Now tell me. Who. KIlled. My. Father?" he spoke each word dangerously slow.

"I...I don't know w...what are you talking a...about," mother stuttered while avoiding Jungkook's burning eyes. "Don't dare lie!" he shouted making me flinch. "I'm asking you for the last time, who killed my father!?"

"IT WAS ME! I MURDERED YOUR FATHER JEON! I KILLED MY BROTHER!" mother cried out and Jungkook clenched his jaw before turning to me.

"Now do you know everything!? You belong to me! And now that I have finally found the killer of my father. Let's end this now!" Jungkook said and pulled the trigger twice. One of it landed on mother and other on father. I gasped in horror. "YOU NOW KILLED MY WHOLE FAMILY! YOU TOOK EVERYTHING FROM ME JEON! KILL ME TOO I DON'T WANT TO LIVE IN THIS WORLD ANYMORE!" I yelled while hitting his chest repeatedly.

"I will kill you but slowly. Your death is written from my hands my doll. Now you are married to me and there is no chance to escape. Now your life and everything is in my proper control," he laughed madly and took out a syringe from his pocket.

"Sleep well my babygirl...." And those were the last words I heard before I allowed my body to engulf me in complete darkness.
