I inspected the place with my eyes before landing them on Clane. He was smiling, a smile that I've never seen before. I didn't bother to spread my lips since I knew how Sarcastic he can be at some point.

He turned and began leading the way as I followed sheepishly. Trees were swaying angryly to mock the horrifying night as we took another path that was darker than the one we had been using earlier. A cold breeze swept across my face making me sneeze continuously. I wiped some tears that had begun flowing due to the cold and proceeded on. I stole glances backwards each and every minute to confirm the unknown. We walked for more than ten minutes without a word. Many questions ran in my mind and went unanswered.

" We are here Love!" He said pointing at nothing but grass bringing me back to the present.

" How do you mean?" I asked trying to get the point straight.

" I said we have reached our destination darling", he elaborated for me to understand.

Destination? I think I'm at the wrong place. Date my foot!

I did not utter a word after his final sentence. I kept on wondering what we were doing in the dark at that time. If not being forced, I couldn't have followed him. I had already forgotten about my stranger's words when the thought hit my head. Oh God help me. He turned and looked at me.

" You are wondering why I brought you here righ?" He asked and I nodded.

A smirk formed at the corner of his lips as he made a step t close me. Though it was dark, but I could see him clearly. I had the  ability to see things in the dark. His eyes made into mine in a seductive way making me drop the stare. These were the eyes I was expecting to receive right from the beginning. The kind of eyes that could have unzipped all the burdens of my heart and read all my worries. The eyes that could have made my soul leap for joy but how long would it last?

" I love you Shannon, I can't stand seeing you grow into an exquisite woman in my presence but...." His phone interrupted making him stop.

Love or lovehate? If at all he loved me why was he making my life a living prison? I can't hide the fact that I love him. I've grown to love him since the day I met the stranger and I don't know why. I know you are wondering why I came to love the devil but sometimes situations are to be adapted.

He moved three metres away and begun his conversation. I was left to wonder why he brought me this far to tell me such things. Was it a way to pass time or the truth of his heart?

" I said you come at the usual place!" I overheard him speaking to an unknown person before hunging up.

Who was this and why did he tell him so? Was this one of his harmful games? Maybe he was one of his friends and they were working on something. He came back and cleared his throat before proceeding.

" As I was saying earlier, I love you and it's from deep down. Don't think us being in different worlds will ever change what I feel for you. Your heart may be on someone else but the remaining parts belong to me, me and me alone do you get that?"

I nodded and waited for another word from his heart. I believed his words since he was talking in a solemn voice but how could I prove it. He had never done it before though.

We saw three male figures from a distance and he stopped talking. One of them was being pulled by the two as he struggled to free himself with his eyes folded. My heart begun pounding hard as they Came closer and closer. I turned to Clane and he smiled. What was going on?

My eyes widened when Clane made a flash to their direction. He had been using the flashlight since our arrival to make our conversation convenient. Lincolin! Why was he here and why were they pulling him in such a manner? Don't ask how I knew it was him but I could identify his appearance even when his eyes were folded. They threw him infront of us and I made three steps back. Clane reached for my hand and pulled me back. He moved close to Lincolin whose eyes were still folded, looked at me then back to him.

" Brother, I told you the kind of person I really am but you thought it was a child's play. See your life now, being held like a piece of thrush", he said bursting into laughter.

I was confused, was he the same man that had been saying sweet words to me moments earlier or the other part of him? I was interrupted by a mention of my name which made me shake my head for concentration.

" Baby, baby! Do you recall what I told you moments earlier? Those were same words written by Lincolin for you. He wrote a letter and gave it to Jade to give it to you but it landed in my hands. I read it and saw it better to share with the two of you. That's why I brought you two here. In addition, your baby doll here did a crime that has to be rectified here and now", he stopped and handed the letter to me and the flashlight to help me though I didn't use it before reading it aloud.

My heart begun racing as my eyes blinked severally. I wished I could have carried a pen with me to delete some words and add new ones to save my poor self but I hadn't. One of the men unfolded Lincolin's eyes and laughed. After reading the letter aloud, Clane sighed. He fished out the finger from his pocket which he cocked before speaking.

" Shannon, you are going to do as I say or I'll be forced to do it myself but in another style".

" Wha... what...A...Am I supposed to do?" I stuttered.

" Shoot and damage the head of this chicken of yours", he answered.
