Tobias's POV

Do you know the feeling when what is happening right now doesn't feel like real life? Yeah I'm having one of those moments. I mean can you blame me? I am currently holding my son that I never thought I would have and next to Tris. The only girl I have ever loved.

Don't get me wrong I will always love her. I just can't help but still be mad. I mean she left for two years with my own son. Without even telling me. Excuse me if I don't just welcome her in with open arms. Not matter how much I really do want to right now. I just can't. For now though I will at least act like a civil person. That is if I want to be apart of Mason's life.

"You need his car seat don't you?" I ask Tris as we arrive to my car.

She nods,"It's still in Zeke's car actually."

"Ok I will go get it." I offer and before she can decline I walk off. Being the dumb butt he is he doesn't lock his car. I grab the seat, but decide to teach him a little lesson. I grab his wallet in his 'hidden' compartment in the car. I then move some stuff around to make it look like someone went through his stuff.

I'm about to walk away before I get an idea. He has a huge coffee cup in the front seat that is still filled. I take the cup and pour it all over the car. Making sure to get the front seat an the steering wheel. I grin and walk back over to Tris and putting the seat in my car.

"Thank you." She says while buckling Mason up. She hops in the passenger seat and I drive off.

"Why did you do that to Zeke's car?" She asks curiously.

I smirk,"He's an idiot. He never locks his door and he keeps his life in his car. I decided I needed to teach him a lesson. Now he will always lock his car."

She chuckles,"He will be pissed."

I nod,"That he will, but the four of us always do this type of stuff to each other. The pranks get pretty bad too."

"What's the worst that's gotten done to you?" She asks.

I hum thinking for the answer for a second. I snap when it comes to me,"Well one time I was supposed to fly into Europe for my tour and the guys changed my flight without knowing. I ended up in some small town in the middle of no where. It seemed like they announced I was going there or something because the population literally only consisted of fangirls." I shutter,"Pretty scary."

"Awwww is little Four afraid of little fangirls?" She asks like she's talking to a baby.

"Nooo." I deny. She raises her eyebrows at me,"Ok ok, but they are pretty frightening when they are all running full speed at you while screaming at the top of their lungs."

She laughs,"Ok whatever you say." She looks around for a moment and turns back to me,"Where are we going anyway?"

"A small place on the outside of the town. It's called the pit and it has the best burgers." I answer.

She nods and starts flipping through the channels on the radio. She stops and turns to me with a huge grin on her face. My hit song Demons starts playing. I roll my eyes while she laughs at me.

"Come on rockstar sing." She says. I smile and shake my head.

"Aww come on. He likes it." She pushes pointing to Mason. I look in the review mirror and see him dancing and singing some of the lyrics. I chuckle and look back at Tris. She is sitting there making puppy dog eyes at me. Which may I say is adorable. I give in and start singing the chorus with Tris.

Tris starts clapping,"Not to bad." I'm about to reply when I hear a little gasp in the back. We both turn around and see Mason with wide eyes, a wide open mouth, and flopping all over the place while pointing at me.

"It's him!" He exclaims.

Tris nods,"Yes it is. He is also daddy."

He tilts his head to the side,"Daddy?"

I nod and smile then turn back to the road completely forgetting I was driving. Tris turns to me,"You do want to be his dad. Right?"

I look over at her,"Of course I do."

She grins,"Ok just making sure." I turn into the parking lot and take the keys out of the car.

"Ok we are here." We both jump out and go to the back to Mason.

He looks at me and holds his hands out,"Daddy." I look at Tris and she nods at me. I look back at him and lift him out of his seat.

As we walk in I look at Mason. I can't believe he is actually mine. I can't help but my fear come up. My fear of turning into the one person I have feared my entire life. I shake my head pushing those thoughts away while walking through the door.

We sit ourselves in a booth towards the back. When the waiter comes his eyes widen. I look around confused and Tris laughs then whispers in my ear.

"You forgot your disguise smart one." I groan and smile sheepishly then turn back to the waiter who still looks really shocked to see me. I chuckle and raise my eyebrows at him.

He shakes his head,"I'm sorry sir. um- how may I help you?"

"We will take three hamburgers." I answer. He bows at me and walks off. I turn to Tris and we both start cracking up.

"What are you some type of prince?" She jokes.

"Obviously not, but some people act like I am."

"Well in that case... Your majesty." She says while mock bowing. I roll my eyes and shake my head. The waiter then comes and puts our food in front of us and walks off in a hurry. Well he seemed nervous to be in front of me.

Mason's eyes widen when he sees the big hamburger in front of him. It is literally the size of his head. He laughs and tries to take a bite without even using his hands.

"Easy there tiger." I say while laughing. I cut his hamburger and give him a smaller piece. He grins and takes the piece from me gobbling it down.

"He sure is hungry. Are you sure you feed him?" I ask Tris jokingly. She gives me a fake glare and takes a bite of her own.

I tilt my head to the side,"So....."

She looks up at me,"So what?"

I roll my eyes,"So how is it?"

She laughs,"Right. It's amazing! You were right!"

I raise my eyebrow and lean closer,"I'm sorry I didn't quite catch that. What did you say?"

She rolls her eyes and slaps my arm lightly,"Shut up you idiot."

I fake gasp and put my hand over my heart,"Words hurt Trissy."

"So does that nickname." She states.

"What? Trissy?" I taunt.

She nods,"Exactly that."

"Oh sorry.... Trissy." she glares at me, but doesn't say anything else.

*Time lapse*

"Goodnight Mason. I love you." Tris says while kissing his forehead. After a couple of hours of us just talking in the restaurant Mason got tired so we brought him home.

"Love you too mommy. I love you daddy." He says

I grin and kiss the same spot on his forehead as Tris,"Love you too buddy."

We quietly shut his door and walk back downstairs of Tris's house. We sit on the couch in a comfortable silence for a while. Tris decides to break the silence.

"You know. You are a pretty good dad."

I look at her,"I can't get that stupid fear out of my head."

She seems to know exactly what I'm talking about,"You aren't going to be like him Tobias. He-"

"But what if I am? He's the only type of father I know of. What if one day I'm just in a bad mood and take it all out on Mason. I wouldn't know how to live with myself after that-"

She cuts me off,"See that right there. The fact that you said you wouldn't be able to live with yourself if you hurt Mason proves you won't. Look you have good intentions. Just because you had the worst father possible does not mean you will turn into him. The biggest difference between you and him is that you actually have a heart. He doesn't."

I stay quiet for a little while. Maybe she is right. I know I would never intentionally hurt Mason. Speaking about Marcus makes me shutter. It also reminds me of something I have to do.

"Speaking of Marcus. I have to talk to him." I say

She looks at me like I'm crazy,"Why? You are free from him. Never have to see him again. Why would you talk to him?"

"He threatened me that if-"

She cuts me off,"Wait he threatened you!? Why would you go-"

"Tris I was trying to explain. He threatened me, but not directly. It also wasn't really me he was threatening." I then tell her the story of when I went over to Justin's and Hannah told me what Marcus said. I also threw in the part where Justin is dating Lauren.

Her eyes are wide,"Wow that's a lot to take in. Why don't you just take Hannah away with you?"

"That would be considered kidnapping and he would turn me into the police by claiming she was kidnapped." I answer

She nods,"Well when are you going to see him?"

"Soon. He still lives next door to you so I was planning on going to go do it now."

She jumps up,"Ok I'm coming with you."

I shake my head,"Heck no. You are staying here where it is safe."

She looks at me like I'm crazy,"I am not letting you go over there all alone. I'm coming and that's final."

"But Tris-" She makes a face at me. I sigh and run my fingers through my hair,"Fine, but you are staying in the bushes."

She nods and mocks salutes,"Yes sir." We then walk towards my old childhood home. A place I thought I wouldn't come back to. A place that holds my darkest fears and painful memories. Well here goes nothing.

A/N: Ok! sorry I haven't updated in so long! I finished school in Friday. Then I had to celebrate my older sister's graduation and then pack. Now I am in the car. Moving from up in North Georgia all the way down to South Florida. We have been in the car for 7 hours now and we have 5 and a half more hours to go. Fun! *note sarcasm. So I'm sorry if this is a little short or has a lot of errors. I am writing this on my phone because on my laptop I don't have wifi right now.
