Chapter 29

A/N: I'm so sorry it took this long to update, I will explain everything in the AN below. On the side is a beautiful cover made by abbyk_17. Which I would like to thank her for making. Now onto the chapter, enjoy!

Tris's POV (In case you forgot the last chapter Hannah's funneral took place)

It has been six months since we left the Allegiant compound, six months since Hannah's death. Mason is now three which he has been for six months. He can now speak pretty well and may I say that kid has a mouth on him, sometimes I think he will never stop talking.

Tobias is the normal Tobias I know and love. He of course took a while to get beck to normal, but he is doing great and it is almost like the incident never happened six months ago. Evelyn is still keeping in touch with him every once and a while, and Marcus of course ignores him. Nothing new there.

The rest of the group? Well they are the same old halarious, crazy to the point you think they are on crack, and slightly annoying people I call my family.

Oh and then there is me. How am I you may ask? Well what can I say? I feel like I am on cloud nine. In a month from now I will have the new name of Tris Eaton. The past couple of months have been hectic trying to find a place for the wedding to take place, trying to find a place for the reception, the list can go on. Thankfully I have my maid of honor by my side, Christina. She has taken over the job as wedding planner as well and has been doing a fantastic job of that. Most of the times the best man is suppost to help out a lot to, but Tobias's best man is Zeke and we all know how much of a help he is. Not to mention his brains.

Today I am going dress shopping with the girls, while Tobias goes tux shopping with the guys, and Mason. I am honestly am not looking forward to go shopping, and knowing Christina she is going to make me try on the puffiest dresses of all.

"Yay! We're here!" Christina squeals as we pull into the parking lot. I look up and am met with a huge white elegant store.

"Christina. This store is crazy expensive, I can't get any of the dresses here." I protest.

She rolls her eyes and turns the car off then steps out the car,"Tris. This is your big day and you have to be wearing the best of the best."

"Yeah but I don't need to pay a couple thousand dollars for a dress I will only wear once." I defend while getting out of the car and follow Chrstina in along side Shauna, Marlene, and Lynn.

"You will thank me later when you looking back at your wedding picutes and see you wearing a beautiful dress and not just some boring plain one," She says, "Plus. Consideing Four's job you have more than enough money to spend on a wedding dress. Might as well use that to your advantage." I sigh and keep quiet knowing whatever I say won't work on her.

"Hi!" An overly perky voice screetches in our faces,"I'm Victoria and I am here to help you find the perfect dress! Now which one of you ladies is the bride to be?"

"That would be my friend Tris here." Christina says motioning to me.

"Congragulations!" She practically yells making me wince,"Let me see it."

I look around confused then look back at her,"Ummm see what?"

"The ring of course." She answers.

"Oh- um, ok?" I awkardly put my left hand out as she gasps and takes my hand.

"That is one big ring." She says staring at it wide eyed,"I'm guessing you want a dress as extravagant as this ring?"

"Actually no." I answer,"We are just having a simple wedding so I just want a simple dress." Christina shakes her head disappointed and whispers something into the lady's ear. She looks from Christina then to me and nods.

"Great, follow me I will help you into some dresses I think you would like." She tells the girls to sit on the chairs outside of the dressing room and leads me into it then steps outside to find some dresses. After about ten minutes with just me and my thoughts the door opens revealing Victoria holding a bunch of dressed hidden inside white plastic covers.

"Ok so these are your friend's picks." She says. I sigh knowing exactly which friend she is talking about and knowing Christina I don't want to think about what she has picked out.

                                       *Time Lapse!*

"I hate it." Lynn comments right as I walk out.

"You look like a marshmallow." Shauna says while laughing.

"At least she would look like a loaded marshmallow." Marlene says while joining in on the laughter.

"Hey it's not bad. I really like it." Christina defends.

"Well I haven't even seen it yet so-" I stop right as I see it in the mirror.

"I hate it." I state and head towards the changing room to get this big thing off of me.

"No Tris!" Christina whines from behind me,"You say that about every one."

"That's because every single dress you pick out is big and puffy." I say while turning around towards her.

"It's called a ball gown style and it's classy." She says.

"Yeah well it's not for me." I say and start to head back to the dressing room while Victoria finds some other dresses that aren't as big.

She soon comes back holding a couple more dresses. She hands me one of them and puts the rest of them to the side.

"Your three other friends picked this one out. They though it would fit you perfectly." She says then helps me into the dress without me looking so that I can be surprised when I walk out there and right as I do gasps escape from my friends' mouths.

   "Tris- it's beautiful!" Shauna exclaims.

    "You look stunning!" Marlene adds.

"You actually look good." Lynn says, well that's a complement coming from her.

"I have to admit, that dress is perfect!" Christina squeals. I  turn to look in the mirror and a gasp escapes my mouth as well. The dress is beautiful and as Lynn said, I actually look good. It is a mermaid style dress so it's tight until my upper thigh where it flares out and goes down to the floor. The top part has beautiful diamond beading along it that just completes the dress.

"So... What do you think?" Victoria asks.

I look at my dress again and grin at my reflection,"I love it!" Everyone cheers and runs up to hug me and I can't seem to fight this stupid grin off my face.

"That reminds me. We have to the bakery to taste the cakes." Christina says.

I turn to her,"Since when did we have to do that?"

"Did I not tell you? I made an appointment yesterday for it." She says.

I roll my eyes,"At what time?"

"In ten minutes?" She says while grinning innocently.

"Christina! Why didn't you tell me!?" I ask.

"Forgot? Anyways don't freak out the bakery is right next door." SHe says.

"Yeah, but Four is all the way at the tux place." I point out.

"Oops I forgot to tell him to." She mutters the pulls out her phone,"Don't worry I will call him." She then walks out the room. I shake my head at her and walk into the changing room and change out of the dress then go up to the counter to pay for it and give them my information so they can alter the dress. When I walk back to the waiting room Shauna, Marlene, and Lynn are gone and Christina is standing there.

"Where are the girls?" I ask.

"The guys came to drop Four and Mason off and then picked up the girls." She answers.

"They're here? Where are they?" I ask while looking around for Tobias and Mason.

"Outside, told them to wait out there. Now come on we are going to be late." She takes my arm and literally drags me out the door.

"Mommy!" Mason shouts when he sees me and runs towards me hugging my legs which is the highest he can reach.

"Hey sweetie!" I greet and bend down giving him a hug. When I stand up I smile when I see Tobias. He greets me with a kiss which is soon disturbed by Christina who pushes apart complaining about how we are never going to get there in time if we keep on doing that. We both roll our eyes and he grabs my right hand while Mason grabs my left and we walk over to the shop.

Right when the door opens I am hit with the smell of pastries and bread. Mason's eyes are instantly glued to the glass cases along the front desk that has different types of cookies, browines, cakes, and many other pastries.

"Hi, may I help you?" The lady asks when she she's us. Her eyes widen when she sees Tobias and looks like she is about to faint. I know that sign, she is fangirling in her mind right now as she tries to act casual on the outside.

"We had an appointment for wedding cake testing." Christina tells the lady.

"Ok great, right this way." She says and leads us to the back which has many differnet slices of cake on a table.

"Please take a seat." The lady says gesturing to the chairs surronding the table,"We picked five of our most popular cakes for you to try. This first one is the original wedding cake flavor." She says while handing the four of us forks. We all take a bite and not much flavor comes out of this one.

"This next one is a classic vanilla cake."  I take a bite and nod, just tastes like regular cake.

"What do you think of these two so far?" She asks.

"Um maybe something...." I try to think of a nice word for it but Tobias says it for me.

"Actually good." I shoot him the 'be nice' look as he just smiles innocently at me.

"What we mean is something with more flavor." I say nicely.

     "And chocolate." Tobias adds.

"Chocolate!" Mason exclaims earing a high five from Tobias.

"Ok, well this one is our most popular chocolate cake, called Dauntlss cake." She says while sliding a peice of cake infront of us.

"Done! We'll do that!" Tobias says immediatly as he and Mason literally shove their faces full of it.

I shake my head at the scene and turn my attention back to the lady,"We'll do the Dauntless cake."

"Ok great!" She exclaims. As we talk about the size, cake decorations, etc. I can't help but get more and more excited for the wedding. One more month...

A/N: I'm SO SO SO SO SO sorry for not updating for almost two weeks. Yesterday I started school and it was also a new school in a new state so basically the last two weeks I was literally dying of anxiety and stress of going to a new school.

Then I also went through a faze where I kind of thought, Do I really want to continue writing? I'm not sure if it was just because of the stress of going to a new school, writing the same story for almost a year, or I don't know what it is. I'm jut hoping that it will all pass because I really do want to continue writing, but it's easier said then done.

So I have a question... Would you guys like me to continue writing? This story may be coming to an end soon, but do you think I should make another Divergent fanfic soon as well. Please give me your comments and suggestions, because honestly you guys are the reason why I am trying to continue writing. I don't know how to explain it but your support really pushes me foward to write more and more.

  QOTD: Where were you born?

Answer: I was born in Louisiana which is also where almost my entire family lives.
