"So, you have an enterprise!" Taehyung bugged Jin while they plugged their luggage from the luggage belt.
"Yes, I have an enterprise. And what does that tell you?" Jin replied grouchily.
"To invest in it," Taehyung said innocently.
"Here we go," Zinni sighed next to Yoongi.
"No! No, it tells you to leave my damn turf alone and find something else to cure your boredom with. I don't share. This is a one hundred percent self-owned business," Jin snapped.
"But it's a high-risk, high-gain enterprise. Why don't you let me lower the risk for a little percentage of the gain?" Taehyung continued the argument.
Yoongi stopped listening. Taehyung would get his share, he was sure. "Did you two get all your luggage?" he asked the twins.
They both nodded.
"Good. Let's get you to your parents then."
Namjoon and Soomin were waiting right behind the exit and received their children with tears and hugs. Yoongi swallowed thickly. He didn't want to imagine what damage they would have caused if anything had gone wrong. He would need to ask Taehyung where he got those Buddhist prayer beads from, and the cowl.
"It's my fault, mom," he heard Minjae's voice through the bustle. "I promise, I'll accept any punishment."
Yoongi lifted his eyes from the bundle of twins with their mom to look at Namjoon. And oh boy, he shouldn't have because that dad was livid.
"Joon, Joon, listen," Yoongi tried to calm him down, but before he could utter another word, he received a punch to the jaw and found himself on the dirty airport floor with a feeling of getting his head split open. "Fuck...aw..."
Security personnel came rushing from all directions but when they found the sprawl had ended before it could even begin, they reluctantly let them go. Yoongi felt betrayed by their lack of security. He was still on the ground!
"Dad, no! Uncle Suga didn't do anything wrong. He told us to stay at the hotel and I didn't! It was MY fault!" Minjae shouted.
"They let you come with them," Namjoon pressed out.
"You let us go with them," Minjae replied sassily.
"Love, not now," Soomin tried to end the situation quickly. "Let us go home first."
That seemed to do the trick for now, but Yoongi wondered for how long that peace would last. He prayed to any entity that this had not ruined everything with the Kim family. He was not even ashamed to hope for Minjae convincing her parents that he and Tae were innocent in this matter. A desperate man isn't picky.
"Are you alright?" Taehyung asked him concerned when he picked him up off the floor. "Let me see."
"It's okay. I think I'm fine." Yoongi replied groggily.
"What a reception," Zinni said, looking unimpressed. "Should I really come to the next family dinner?"
"You have to," Taehyung pushed her immediately.
"My wife does not have to do anything an idiot like you suggests," Jin growled from behind.
"Honestly, what has your knickers in a twist?" Yoongi growled at their old friend. "Get a shag, for fuck's sake, and stop being moody."
Jin's ears turned bright red at the retort and Yoongi wondered which nerve he had hit with those words.
"Ignore them, darling," Zinni lilted and pressed a chaste kiss against Jin's cheek. Those ears turned even redder and Yoongi got an idea what was happening here. "Don't play with his poor heart if you don't plan to follow it up," he told Zinni.
"What?" she asked perplexed.
"You heard me," Yoongi growled and turned his back to them. "Let's go home," he told Taehyung. "I'm ready to retire."
Taehyung smiled at him happily. "About that Afrika trip..."

Namjoon and Soomin had arrived at the worst possible moment. Taehyung had been showing Yoongi how to fix his monk cowl under the amused laughter of Mrs. Lee when the two had rang the doorbell. So now there were in the very awkward situation where he and Yoongi were sitting on one end of the couch with half-done monk cowls and Namjoon and his wife in sharp suits on the other end.
Namjoon didn't look much calmer than he had at the airport, but he appeared to be here for the numbers rather than the talking. Soomin didn't look too happy either, but at least she wasn't staring them down with burning eyes.
"Thank you, Haeyon," she said tensely when Mrs. Lee brought them tea before vanishing into Taehyung's study.
Taehyung really wished he could change into something else but he supposed that anything that could come out of his wardrobe would make him feel inadequate in this situation.
"How are the two?" he asked tentatively.
Soomin's face softened. "They are fine. Minjae can't sleep with the lights off, yet, and Minsong won't move out of her room as of now, but I suppose it could be worse."
Taehyung immediately felt shame and regret crushing down on him. "I'm so sorry, Soomin-shi. We really shouldn't have taken them."
"No, you shouldn't have," she agreed, "but we also didn't stop it even though we knew what this trip was about." She stared down at her tea and finally Taehyung could see the same shame and regret in her features. She looked utterly shaken.
"Did Minjae say anything?" Taehyung wanted to know.
Soomin pulled herself together and looked at him again. "She insists that it was her fault and that nothing would have happened if she hadn't followed you. Minsong is supporting that story."
"It's true though," Yoongi quietly growled next to Taehyung.
"Oh, is it," Namjoon snapped suddenly. His wife's hand reached out for his knee to calm him down, but it was only barely enough.
"YES," Yoongi blew up and rushed to his feet. "I gave them the coffin talk. I told them what to do if we didn't return until morning. I threatened them over and over again with the dangers of our trip and yet –"
"Yet, she thought that it was a great adventure!" Namjoon shouted back, jumping up from his seat as well. "Because she is a FUCKING CHILD, Yoongi! She does not understand what kidnapping, or rape, or skin trade is!"
"This is not the triads, Joon," Taehyung noted. A sharp look from the agent made him shut up though.
"Darling, Taehyung is right," Soomin agreed with him. "These people are not the triads. You are blowing this out of proportion."
"Do I?" Namjoon snapped and sat down again, brooding silently.
Soomin sighed. "Let's make this short," she said, "Minjae and Minsong threatened that if we would not allow them to see you again, they would run away and move in with you."
Taehyung felt a small smile tug at his lips. That sounded a lot like Minjae.
"We do not intent to break this family apart," Soomin assured them, which made Yoongi sit down again with a puff of air, "but we do need some ground rules for these vacations which have gone overboard... no, don't try to deny it. Two intercontinental weekend trips per month are nothing but decadent."
Yoongi snorted. "I'd like to think they're educative, but okay."
Soomin only looked at him coldly. "Our suggestion is that vacations during school break are okay, but apart from that the trips need to be inside South-Korea. It also has become a trend that we're informed about these trips once they've already started."
"Because you're never home," Yoongi continued to shoot with sharp ammunition at the Kims. Taehyung poked him in the side to make him stop.
Soomin's face began to crumble again. "We're working on that," she replied.
That seemed to take some air out of Yoongi's sails and he sunk back into the pillows.
"Also, no rescue trips, no heist trips, no action trips of any kind," Soomin continued. Taehyung nodded quickly. He didn't need a repetition of the recent occurrences. "Good," Soomin concluded. "Is there anything you two would like to add?"
Taehyung was about to open his mouth when Yoongi spoke up. "No. The next family meeting is the week after next. Don't miss out. I'm making hot pot."
Namjoon's face darkened. "Haven't we had enough of China?"
"Minsong asked for it," Yoongi replied unimpressed. And that took the wind out of Namjoon's sails.
"If we can do anything," Taehyung spoke finally, "let us know."
Soomin nodded and rose from her seat.
Taehyung really just wanted to hug everyone and be happy again, but he didn't dare. They really had messed up big time, so he had to bear it until time could smooth out the waves. When he sent the Kims off at the gate, he awkwardly bowed to them and then hurried back inside.

"Uncle Tae, Uncle Suga!" Minjae's voice called out of the blue and a small frame fell from the premises wall into their garden.
"Oh, for fuck's sake," Yoongi cursed and folded his newspaper to put it away. "How often did I tell you not to climb the wall but be a normal human who rings the door!"
"I love you too, Uncle Suga," Minjae snuffed out any further protest that had been building in Yoongi's mind. He didn't even bemoan his lack in resilience anymore, he was past that.
"Song-ah," he greeted the second body that had dropped from the wall.
"Uncle Suga," the boy greeted him with a grin.
"Oh!" Taehyung's happy voice called from the veranda door. Taehyung had just gone inside to bring some more iced poffee and hadn't seen their intruders climb the wall.
Yoongi watched the twins pull their uncle outside to the table and bustle about their latest art project at school while stealing bites of peppermint ice cream.
"Stop it. Coffee isn't good for teenagers," he scolded Minsong when the boy tried to dip his finger into his poffee.
"I've been drinking coffee for two months already, uncle," Minsong insisted and got his wall-dirty finger into Yoongi's drink anyway.
"What about living drug-free and healthily?" Yoongi asked surprised. Had they damaged Song-ah in any way? Was it Jungkook's doing? Minsong was visiting Kookmin's Fitness Temple far more often than a teenager should.
"Every man needs a vice," the boy claimed. "Life's too short to be a saint."
Yoongi almost spat out his coffee. "Pardon?"
"What about yours?" Minsong asked him unimpressed, looking blasé with his sunglasses.
"Haven't touched it in a month," Yoongi said. He wasn't really one for vows but he had taken to the idea of living well if the twins could be reunited with their parents. He was now accompanying Taehyung to the temple now and then, going as far as partaking in some Buddhist retreats, and had dropped smoking.
Minsong smiled proudly and showed him a thumbs-up. "How about that Everest thing you mentioned?" he joked.
"Oh, shut up," Yoongi blew him off with a laugh and rose from his seat. "You're mighty early. Want to help me cooking?"
Minsong seemed to contemplate that. "Can I have a poffee for motivation?"
"You can have a peppermint milkshake," Yoongi bargained. "I'll only believe your coffee story once your parents verify it."
Minsong groaned but followed him inside anyway.
An hour later, their house was buzzing with voices and Yoongi was hurrying to serve the dishes before they were overcooked. "Everyone to the table!" he shouted and gestured Minsong to bring the Makgolli and Hoseok to bring a Taehyung who was far too drunk for his early hour of the evening. "Make sure his butt finds his seat," he told their friend quietly.
Once they were all gathered around the table, Taehyung rose from his seat, as always, to hold his speech. He was tilting a bit to the left, but Hoseok held him in place.
"We know," Taehyung began sagely, "that you," he pointed at Namjoon and Soomin, "only kept us close in the hope that we could be useful in the future."
"That's not true," Soomin disagreed without missing a beat. Namjoon did not look like he wanted to protest.
"But instead of being helpful," Taehyung continued like he hadn't heard her, "we got your kids in danger and almost ruined this family." He took a long look at everyone at the table. "So, from now on, we will resign from the shady business and life as honest people."
Hoseok and Jin snorted into their makgeolli and Jimin and Jungkook tried not to make a face but failed.
"Don't laugh. I'm being honest," Taehyung chided them. "The money I got from selling my questionable stocks I invested in a tea farm on Jiri mountain and in several galleries in Seoul and Busan, and I started a foundation that supports street kids with their education and gives them a home like I didn't have when I came to Seoul. And I plan to open a public school for art and a gallery of myself to support small artists like me."
Now even Yoongi had to chuckle. Modesty really wasn't Taehyung's thing.
"What? What are you laughing about?" Taehyung asked them, but everyone just waved him to continue. "Am I being funny?"
Minsong was the first to speak. "If you really want to do Minjae and me a favor, then stop drinking, Uncle Tae."
Taehyung looked confused, then he focused on the wine glass in his hand and before anyone could react, he emptied it into the pool.
"No, not the pool," Yoongi groaned while everyone else was hurrying over to take the glass away from Taehyung.
"I think we got the gist of it," Namjoon told Taehyung and squeezed his shoulder. "You're doing good, Taehyung. We appreciate it. Really."
That drew a big proud smile onto Taehyung's face. "Good. Good... Well, that's that. Let the dinner begin!" he called and almost missed the chair when he let himself drop into it.
They really needed to stop drinking so much, Yoongi thought to himself and sighed. But they could start that tomorrow. For now, there was a tasty meal and sweet makgeolli, and he was a weak man.
"Hand me the Stew, Song-ah," Haeyeon called over the clatter of cutlery and plates.
"Why are there only so few chicken feet?" Zinni whined.
"Taehyung, stop staring at your plate, have some pancakes," Jungkook told Taehyung and began to load his plate. "Song-ah, take some more chicken. If you want to build muscle, you need the protein."
Yoongi smiled to himself. They had been through a storm but they were still alive and laughing. If that wasn't family, he didn't know what was.
>> The End <<
So, that was my mediocre, much too short excuse of a last book for closure. Let me know how you liked it, or if you even liked it. I hope it helped you to get closure for this universe as well.
