Sanam's POV:

I guess she is confused with the directions...

Me: "Hi, Good morning!"

Gul: "Hey! A very Good morning to you too!!" She said in a pleasant tone. "Achha {Okay} listen, I am almost there... But I'm a little confused with the directions... Please help me!" She told me her exact location.

Me: "You're very close, just turn right and there is a white building round the corner... Wait, I'll come outside..." I stood up and left the room where the guys were sitting...

Gul: "No no no no, STOP!!!" She screamed into the phone and I stopped in my tracks. "I mean... Stay where you are!! I'll find my way! Thanks!" And she hung up. Does she have cameras fit here or something? What suddenly went wrong with her I wonder...

I ignored her instruction and went outside anyway. I knew she was definitely going to find it difficult to locate the building since there were so many in this area! I stood near the entrance and kept an eye out for a girl who might be struggling to find her destination. I could see a bike coming in my direction. There was a guy and a girl on the bike... You heard it right, a GUY and Gul. Gul's boyfriend? Seriously? I thought to myself. They were at a distance and I could guess by the way she looked around, that she still wasn't sure of the right building though she was proceeding in the right direction. She finally took out her phone and was probably calling me...

I received the call and waved my hand in the air.

Me: "You're right here... See me?" She could finally spot me. I could easily make that out, as her worrisome expression had changed into a relieved yet excited one. Her face is so expressive... It takes almost no time to understand what she is feeling...

Gul: "Ya, ya now I see you..." She disconnected the call and told the 'GUY' to stop by tapping his shoulder lightly. Could she actually have a boyfriend...? I couldn't stop thinking about it. I saw her get down from the bike and speaking to him. He was probably asking her if he should come along, but just then she pointed at me and perhaps told him that she would be fine with me. She waved him 'goodbye' and started walking towards me. She looked amazing as usual. I was amazed at how she carried herself so well in every situation! And as I had observed before, the 4th time I see her and she is different, again! How does she do it?

Me: "Hi!" I placed my hand before her at an angle and she high - fived it, which actually turned into a handshake. She was smiling wide. Her smile was contagious; though the presence of this guy had shaken up my mind for a few moments, her smile relieved me.

Gul: "Hey! Am I late? I hope not..." and without waiting for my answer, she glanced at her wrist watch.

Me: "No... Not at all... Ben abhi tak aaya bhi nahi hai {Ben hasn't even reached yet}..." I winked at her. "By the way... Why are you so rushed? Matlab {Because}, you looked worried..." I inquired.

Gul: "Me? Do I?" She looked up at me shifting her gaze from within her little bag and her hands stopped their search. "Nahi nahi {No No}... See, I'll tell you what happened..." And she narrated all the events which took place that morning.

Me *laughing*: "You mean... They kicked you out of your OWN room!?" I was laughing all the way to the elevator.

Gul: "Yes!! Imagine!!" She spoke dramatically with her eyes open wide. I noticed how the light kohl made her eyes look even more beautiful.

Me: "They sure are too angry with you... So, what are you going to do compensate now?" I felt so curious to know her 'sad morning story' 'cause she was narrating it way too adorably!

Gul: "That's what I don't know yaar... But I'll think of something now..." She sighed. We were in the elevator now. I couldn't resist asking her.

Me: "Hmmm... So you didn't get your boyfriend inside?" I tried to sound casual, and I was successful.

Gul: "My... WHO?" She cringed her nose while saying the 'who'...

Me: "Your.... Boyfriend?" I spoke hesitantly this time. Was he not her boyfriend?

Gul: "Ohh No... You've got it wrong... He's not my boyfriend!" She chuckled at the little misunderstanding I had. I feel so light! "By the way, why did you think he's my boyfriend?" She shrugged her eyebrows at me.

Me: "I.... I dunno... Just forget what I said, okay?!" I chuckled at my poor sense of reasoning 'once again'. I am not even able to crack jokes when I am around her! She makes me THAT nervous!

Gul *giggling*: "Alright alright..." We had reached our floor by the time this absolutely meaningless conversation ended. We went inside the office and as I reached the cabin door, I gestured with my hand for Gul to go inside first. "Thank you!", she replied with the most animated expression and immediately chuckled at herself.

The guys stood up at their respective places as they saw her enter. She waved both her hands with a "Hiiii...." in the most excited tone. Samar and Keshu came up to her. She shook hands with Keshu while Samar stretched his arm and side hugged her.

Samar: "So I have something for this beautiful girl here..." His hand reached behind his back and returned with a rose. "A beautiful Gulab {Rose} for you Gul...!" He bent a little and presented her the rose like a gentleman.

Gul: "Thank you very much!" She was blushing so hard that her face resembled the colour of the rose which was now in her hand.

Venky: "We might as well call you 'Gulab'..." he smiled at her.

Keshu: "Good idea Venks!! So Miss. Gulab, welcome!" She looked at him and gestured a 'Thank you'. She was probably too overwhelmed with her 'welcome' that she couldn't say anything.

Samar: "Nice! Miss. Gulab is as it is pretty like a Gulab!" And he winked at her. He was getting too flirty with her! Wait Samar Puri, abhi tumhare saare armaano pe paani pherta hu! {I'll soil all your plans!}

Me: "Samar... Bas kar! Kitna flirt karega yaar! Usne apne boyfriend ko bula liya toh teri band baj jaayegi!! {Enough! How long are you gonna keep flirting bro?! If she calls her boyfriend, you'll be in a lot of trouble!}" I couldn't control smirking.

Samar: "Boyfriend???" His eyes were wide open. Samar, now you gonna pay for all the teasing that you did *Monster Laughs*!

Gul: "Ummm... Woh {Actually}—"

Me: "I swear, I just saw him outside yaar! He had come to drop her..." Gul looked at me with a naughty smile on her face. I figured out that she was ready to play along. I winked at her when no one was looking at us.

Venky: "Hard luck bro!" Venky laughed and high-fived me.

Samar: "Hmmm... I am so heartbroken right now..." He said dramatically, looking at Gul with his hands on his heart. He even wiped an invisible tear from his eye. Nautanki {Dramatic}!

Gul chuckled; she was enjoying herself and so was I. Suddenly, her smile faded and a serious expression came over her face.

Gul: "Oops!! I am such a duffer! I completely forgot!" She hit her forehead lightly with her hand. Digging into her handbag, she pulled out 4 small chocolates. "I got this for all of you!" She gave all of us her brightest smile. "I know it's not so beautiful like the rose or—"

Me and Samar almost jumped in delight, "But it's CHOCOLATE!"

She offered us chocolates and except for Venky, the three of us greedily devoured it. Of course, we offered her as well, but she politely refused, partly because she was busy laughing at us!

Keshu: "Thank you so much Gul, that was a really sweet gesture..." He said with a friendly smile.

Me: "Yeah, it was 'SWEET' indeed!" She was the only one who acknowledged my joke, saying "Sanamisms! I love them!".

A few moments later, Ben entered the office and exchanged pleasantries with Gul. All of a sudden, Gul became all sophisticated and conscious of herself.

Ben: "Hello Gul! It's really nice meeting you... I hope the guys have told you why we're all here this afternoon?" He was speaking too formally.

Gul: "Yes sir, they had informed me..." She couldn't say anything more. Ben made her familiar with our entire plan; the two songs which are going to be related to each other, and not to mention, the videos too. He spoke of all the money involved, and what she would stand to gain. I observed her the whole time. She had been listening carefully for long but as Ben's speech proceeded, her expression changed. She started to look worried...

Ben: "So... What d'you think?"

Gul: "Thank you so much sir... But I want to ask you all something..." She bit her lip and took a deep breath. "Do you all really think I would be able to do this? I mean, I have no experience... Not at all... I don't want to be the reason for the videos to be... to be... not great, you know..." She completed her speech rather hesitantly.

Keshu: "Hey... Why are you saying that... You are very VERY talented and we have seen that! Just don't worry, okay?" He spoke very carefully and softly.

Venky: "Yup, Keshu's 100% right... You'll be fine!" He smiled to comfort her.

Me: "What do you think you can't do? Tell us..." I tried to give her a logical answer to her question.

Gul: "Ummmm... I can't act..."

Ben: "But you won't have to act! At least for the better part of it... Look, the first song's gonna be a friendship song! And I know these guys are gonna be so friendly with you that you will not have to act... And the second song, well, you'll get the hang of it... Just relax!"

She managed a weak smile. Maybe she was a little convinced now. She told us that she would need to ask her parents and only if they agree, will she work with us. See, I told them, but they didn't listen to me! She assured us that she would tell us by tomorrow positively. And after all was discussed, it was time for her to leave. We walked her to the door of the building when she called one of her friends maybe, to pick her up.

Keshu: "What happened, is anything wrong?" Keshu inquired when she saw her getting irritated at her phone.

Gul: "No no... Nothing at all... My friends! They are so angry with me that they won't even receive my calls!!" She rolled her eyes.

Me *chuckling*: "OH!!!"

The rest of the three gave us a 'question mark' expression. I quickly narrated to them the whole incident of 'Gul and Friends' and they laughed too.

Gul: "Ya... That's why... I think I'll have to go alone..."

Samar: "Why, you don't travel alone usually?"

Gul: "Nope... I mean, all of us make sure that when we're out of the campus, we're not alone... 'Cause you know, big city, big dangers!" She said with her lips drawn in a straight line.

Me: "So..... We can drop you?" I took a chance there. The guys agreed with me and tried to persuade her.

Gul: "Arre Bilkul bhi nahi! {Not at all!} Itne bade celebrities!! {Such famous celebrities} No no no! I will manage on my own, thank you so much but!" There are times like this when she gives absolutely hilarious expression, which were just adorable!

Me: "Come on yaar! Don't make us feel guilty of being famous, ALL THE TIME! We're coming to drop you, and that's final!" I gave a look to them and they joined in.

Samar: "Wait, lemme get my guitar from upstairs... Come Keshu, Venky... Help me..." And they rushed to the elevator.

Me: "Toh.... Chalein? {So, lets go?}"

Gul: "Hum sab ke liye ruke hain shayad... {I suppose we're waiting for the rest to come?}"

Me: "For... Whom?"

Gul: "For the band... What's wrong with you?" She was getting confused now. She probably couldn't see another joke coming!😜

Me: "You mean SANAM band?"

Gul: "Ughhh! Yes Sanam! You have memory loss?" Her voice sounded frustrated but she tried to keep calm.

Me: "No... But SANAM band is already here!" I said, pointing to myself while saying "This is Sanam" and then to my wrist band saying "And this is Band!!"

She looked at me with a dumb expression for exactly 3 seconds and then burst out laughing!

Gul: "Oh God yaar Sanam! You're too good!" She said between laughs. I laughed more because she was laughing; my joke was the usual kind, but her laughter was new to me.

The three of them came and we went to the parking lot.

Samar: "I am not driving!" He said with his hands in the air. "I have good company today..." And he winked at Gul who smiled mischievously back at him.

Venks: "Okay, I'll drive..."

Samar jumped at the back seat and Keshu was at the passenger seat. Well I had thought Gul might feel awkward sitting in between me and Samar, but she was cool about it. Venky asked her directions to our destination and Gul told us that they will be going to her friend's apartment, because there's where all her friends are.

Me: "Wait a second... Gul! Your friends will forgive you now! Hum unse milenge toh woh maan jaayenge na? {If we meet them, they're going to be convinced, right?}"

Gul: "RIGHT! I didn't think of this! Wow! Thanks Guys! They'll be absolutely shocked to see you!!!" She was bubbling with excitement!

We reached our destination in another 5 minutes and she lead us to her floor.
