Ariel's POV
I can't believe that I'm starting a new school tomorrow. Yesterday we spent the whole day unpacking and exploring the city and just to say it's really breath taking. I'm glad that I know English because if i didn't I would probably get made fun of for that. I'm nervous though because I won't know anybody the first day and plus I bet nobody wants to talk to the new foreign kids as other people would probably say. We had to get new school supplies since the ones that we had weren't on the new school supply list. Apparently we are going to a school called Lakeview high. Our parents already enrolled us. How they did it is beyond me. I'm getting bored so I go and grab my keys to my car and before I walk out the door I yell "going to go drive around for a bit I'll be back before dinner". "Ok be safe". I heard my dad yell. "Ok". With that I left the house. I was driving for a while until I got hungry and I decided to see if there is any good places to eat around here. I decided to go to McDonald's. I parked my car and got out and walked in, but when I walked in I bumped into someone."oh my god I'm sorry I didn't see where I was walking". I said. "It's ok". He said. I looked up to see a boy about my age. "Are you new here, cause I've never seen you here before?". He asked. "Yes I'm new". "My name is Jayden by the way". "My name is Ariel and I'm sorry again for bumping into you". "It's fine, really.". "Do you live around here?". I ask, damn I must sound really creepy right now. "Uh yeah I live in this gated neighborhood called WestSide Manor". "Oh my god I just moved there a few days ago". I said. "Cool we should hang out more". He said. I blushed. "Yeah we should". I said. "Well I got to get going". He said. "Ok it was nice meeting you". I said. "Yeah it was nice meeting you too, bye." He said. "Bye". That was interesting, but I have to admit that Jayden is really cute. Oh my god I'm turning into Kalani. Now I forgot why I was here. Wait never mind. I walk over and I get in line. "Hey um excuse me". A voice said behind me. I turn around and see a girl staring at me. "Uh may I help you". I say as polite as I can because I don't want to sound rude. "Uh yeah I wanted to tell you, to back off of Jayden". She said. "Uh why?". "Cause I said so". She said with an angry voice. "I didn't do anything". "I saw you flirting with him". "So?"." Well he's mine and if I see you talking to him again you're going to regret it".With that being said she just stormed out. I wonder who she is and why she got all mad over me talking to Jayden. I order my food and sit down at a table. I grab out my phone and text my mom to let her know where i am.

Me: Hey mom

Mom: where are you?

Me: I'm at McDonald's

Mom: oh ok be safe love you.<3

Me: ok I will Love you too <3
I go back to eating my Chicken nuggets and drinking my sweet tea. Once I finished I got up and walked out towards my car, I look around before I get in and I start the engine. I pull out the parking lot and start driving home. I turn on the radio and Focus by Ariana Grande comes on and I start to sing along to it.

Once the song finished I was just pulling into the gated neighborhood. I drive down the first street, and then I make a left onto the second street, and make a right onto the third street, and finally make an left and I pull up to the house. Geez I didn't know that this neighbor had so many streets. I park my car in the driveway and I get out the car. "Hey Ariel!!!". Someone yells and I turn around see Jayden walking towards the house that is diagonal to mine. "Hey Jayden I didn't know that you lived that close". I say. "I didn't know either". He Says. "Umm. I'll see you at school tomorrow". I say.
"Yeah see you at school". He says and walks into the house. I have to admit he is kind of hot. I walk inside and get out my phone.

Me: hi

💯🤘🏻Cayden💯🤘🏻: hey, Ariel haven't heard from you in a while.

Me: sorry about that I was really busy getting settled and everything like that.

💯🤘🏻Cayden💯🤘🏻: it's fine I was contemplating on whether I should call you or not last night.

Me: ok how's Kalani?

💯🤘🏻Cayden💯🤘🏻: she's fine. Hold on wait a second.

Me: ok.

Me: Nothing much, but today I ran into this cute boy named Jayden at McDonald's and I found out that he lives across the street and that we're going to the same school.

💞❄️Kalani💞❄️: sounds like Ari has a crush.

Me: no i don't.

💯🤘🏻Cayden💯🤘🏻: shit! I have to go pick up Sarina from daycare bye.

I look at the time and see that it's 5:30pm. I go to my room and decide to get all my school stuff ready. I grab paper and put it in my binder. I grab 2 folders, a journal, a ruler, a pencil case , sharpies, highlighters, glue, and my schedule and put it all in my binder. By the time I was done putting stuff in my binder I saw that it was 6:25. Wow I must've been busy putting everything in my binder to not notice that the time flew by really fast. I go downstairs to eat dinner. Once I finished dinner I went into the living and watched a movie and 5 episodes of Pretty Little Liars. I look at the time and see its 8:30. I turn off the tv and head upstairs to my room. I walk in and grab a pair of my pajamas and head into the bathroom to take a shower. I get in the shower and wash my hair with my coconut scented shampoo and conditioner. I get out and get dressed I dry my hair and pull it into a messy bun. I put my phone on the charger and lay down on my bed and I feel the darkness consume me.
