Prologue

READER'S POV

My name is Date (Y/n) and I turned 19 this year. In the previous story, I used to have a normal life as a high school student in the modern world. I used to live with my grandfather after my parents died of an epidemic disease 11 years ago when I was 8 years old but, all of that changed when I was sent back in time to the Sengoku period and all of the people who I met including the love of my life were based on my favourite anime, Sengoku Basara.

I didn't have a clue where I was or how I got there at the time but, that was until I met Masamune. He took me in and we went on one crazy adventure together and I met a few familiar characters along the way including Masamune's rival Sanada Yukimura. After Masamune found me I witnessed all of his battles and he was so cool until one day, we met the Devil King of the Sixth Heaven, Oda Nobunaga. After meeting the Devil King, Masamune was feeling a bit off for a while until one of the members of the Maeda clan, Keiji, arrived in Oshu and he told us about the allied forces taking down Nobunaga.

Masamune wasn't sure about it at first but, in the end, he decided to take down the Devil King once and for all. Along the way, I discovered the real reason why I was sent to the Sengoku. Turns out my ancestor, Aiko, was the one who chose me to help the allied forces to take down Nobunaga and then I would go home, however, I wasn't sure about it at the time because I started to get attached to Masamune and this world. We arrived in Nagashiro only to find the Devil King's brother-in-law Azai Nagamasa tried to stop us but, after Masamune fought against him, Akechi Mitushide ordered his men to kill him and that's what he did.

In the end, we had no choice but to retreat and to make matters worse, Masamune got shot and then we took him along with a few of our injured men to Kai until he was better. While staying there, I got stronger with my new abilities as a priestess and my swordsmanship thanks to Kojuro's help. Once Masamune was feeling better, we fell in love and I didn't care about heading home to the modern world as we continued to achieve our goal; defeat the Devil King once and for all.

After we found out the leaders of the Tokugawa, Uesigui and Takeda have been hurt by Mitsuhide, Yukimura, Masamune and I headed to Honnoji temple where we thought Nobunaga was staying for the night but, as it turns out, it was a trap and that's when we fought Mitushide. Eventually, Kojuro showed up and then he stayed behind to take down Mithuhide while the three of us headed to Azuchi Castle with the allied forces. It was a tough battle but we won, however, I was gravely injured and that caused me to go back to the modern world. I was there for a little while until the soul of my mother showed up and it also turns out my Grandfather knew where I was while my friends thought I got hurt during a robbery.

Long story short, I was sent back to the Sengoku to be with the one I love, I became known as Oshu's Priestess and I married the One-Eyed Dragon. Everything was peaceful for a while until something unexpected happened after Masamune defeated his rival Yukimura...

***

I was asleep for a moment until I felt those familiar lips on my cheek and forehead. I smiled a little and then I giggled when those lips touched my neck. I opened my eyes and I caught my husband kissing my neck and then I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Ohayo, my One-Eyed Dragon."

"Ohayo, (Y/n)."

Masamune spoke with a smile on his face before kissing my lips. He pulled away from me and then he sat up from the futon.

"As much as I like to spend a lazy morning with you but, we've got work to do."

"Ugh, do we have to? besides..."

I spoke with a smirk before I wrapped my arms around Masamune's from behind.

"Kojuro and the others would understand since my husband loves waking to his wife in the mornings."

Masamune chuckled before kissing my forehead.

"Nice try sweetie, but, it's not going to work."

"Hehe, I had to give it a try."

I told him before grabbing my nightclothes that Masamune took off from last night's events and then I put it back on. I waited for a moment to let Masamune to get changed into his white kimono and his dark blue hakama. Once he was changed, I got behind the folding screen and I got changed into my blue kimono and the pattern is a white blossom and it comes with a pastel yellow sash and a dark blue obi cord.

Once I was changed, I looked at myself in the mirror and I started to brush my hair and then I tied some of it back and I left the rest of it down. I looked at the table and I noticed my favourite hairpin wasn't there.

"Masamune, have you seen my-"

"Right here."

Masamune spoke with a smirk before showing me the crescent moon hairpin in his hand.

"Hey! when did you grab that?!"

"While you were getting changed," Masamune spoke with a smirk.

"Masamune give it back."

"Come and get it."

I reached to get it back from him but, he kept it away from my hands and then he said to me.

"Give me a kiss and I might give it back."

I shook my head at him and then I wrapped my arms around his neck before kissing his lips. Masamune smirked against my lips and then he pulled away from my lips.

"I love you. I know I don't say it often but, I do."

"I love you too, Masamune."

Masamune kisses my forehead before placing the crescent moon hairpin in my hair. We left our room and then we headed to the war council room where breakfast was being served. Once we got there the guys greeted us as we entered the room.

"Morning Big Boss!!"

"Morning Lady Boss!"

I giggled when one of the guys called me that. Since I married Masamune, the guys have been calling me (Y/n)-sama or Lady Boss, whatever is easier to call me. It felt weird at first but, I got used to it.

After having breakfast, I headed into the village to run some errands and treat my patients. When I started living in Oshu with Masamune and the others, I've been treating the villagers with my healing abilities and my knowledge in medicine and rumours about my fighting abilities started to spread as well and then they started calling me the Priestess of Oshu.

I didn't mind them calling me but, a part of me hoped that it won't bring me any trouble but then again, trouble seems to find the Date army and Masamune. I visited one of my patients and it was a little girl called Rei and she has the bad case of the flu.

"Ohayo, (Y/n)-sama," Rei's mother said to me as she led me to her room.

"So, how's the patient?"

"She's still feeling feverish and hot. I tried giving her the medicine you gave her but, it's still not working.

"I see, let me see what's the problem," I told her before putting a cloth around my mouth and nose like a protective mask.

I entered Rei's room and then she looked at me with a feverish face.

"(Y/n)-sama...*cough! cough!*"

Rei greeted me before coughing. I sat beside her bed and I asked her.

"Hello Rei-chan, how are you feeling?"

"Sick..."

"Aw...let me see what's wrong with you."

I said as I placed the back of my hand on her forehead and then Rei's mother said to me.

"(Y/n)-sama, I'm worried she's not getting any better."

"Well, I'll try something like this..."

I placed my hand on her chest and then a glow appeared since I was healing her lungs. The colour on Rei's skin was looking a lot better and she was able to sit up after I healed her.

"Wow! mommy I feel- *cough! cough!*"

"Easy there kid, I only got rid of the tiredness and the fever but, the cough is a different matter. You're still on bed rest and on isolation until you're feeling better."

"Thank you, (Y/n)-sama," Rei's mother spoke with a smile.

"Well, she's not out of the woods just yet, keep her in her room for another few weeks and give her this to deal with the coughing until she's got the all-clear if anything else changes, let me know."

"Yes, my lady and arigato."

I left the house and I took off the cloth and I sighed in relief. I checked the list of patients who needed my help today and I have a few more to see today.

TIME SKIP...

After treating the patients and running a few errands, I headed back to the mansion. I walked passed the training grounds and I found my husband practising with his sword. I smiled at him and I admired him from a distance.

'Wow, he's so handsome and so cool. If Sakura and Lizzy saw me right now they would have freaked out if they found out that I've married THE One-Eyed Dragon of Oshu and I'm talking about the one from the history books but this one from Sengoku Basara. But still, I wonder what Oji-san would say about him if they met?

My thoughts were interrupted when someone wrapped their arms around my waist. I looked up and it was Masamune.

"How long were you going to watch me from a distance?"

"Hehe, I couldn't help myself, besides, you looked handsome and cool when you were training."

"Oh?"

Masamune spoke before leaning closer.

"You thought I was cool?"

"Of course, you're my husband and I will always think you're cool."

"Oh, well that in case. I was about to go to the hot springs after training but now that you're back..."

"Eek!"

I squeaked before giggling at Masamune who was smirking at me after scooping me up in his arms.

"I was planning to go to the hot springs after training but now that you're back, you can massage my muscles and maybe later we can have some quality alone time."

"You know what? that actually doesn't sound too bad," I spoke a smile before kissing his lips.

"Let's get going," Masamune spoke with a grin before carrying me to the hot springs.

We finally got to the hot springs after passing by a few teasing Date soldiers and then Masamune puts me back down on the ground. Masamune leaned close and then he kisses me on the lips making me gasp in contact and then he enters his tongue in my mouth. I let him explore my mouth and then I felt my sash slacken since Masamune untied it.

"Now...let's get these clothes off you."

Masamune whispered against my mouth before untying the back of my sash and undoing my hair. I helped Masamune out his clothes while he kissed and sucked on my neck. Once we were bare, Masamune picked me up in his arms and then we went into the warm water. Masamune held me close to his chest and then he kissed the top of my head.

"I love you so much."

"I love you more, Masamune."

I said as I rested my head against his chest. Masamune held my chin and he made me look at him before he kissed my lips. Masamune's hands travelled down my body and then our little night of passion began.

Yep, life in the Sengoku so far has been great for me so far especially now that things were peaceful after Nobunaga was defeat. However, a small part of me knew that peace doesn't always last long and I would know from that day when a new enemy approached the battlefield in Kawanakajima.
