Chapter 7:

C A D Y

I took up the seat beside Sam, Bella on his other side. Chrissy and Jax sat in front of us, Severus with them.

I looked around the café. It was pretty neat, and cozy.

The walls were a soft pink color, with bunches of baby blue and lilac butterflies here and there. Fairy lights hung on the walls and from the ceiling, casting an eerie, yet beautiful glow in the café. There wasn't any space for light to enter from outside in the seating area. The tables were a beautiful scarlet color, with the chairs a contrasting grey. The whole place was air conditioned. It was just... wow.

"Knew you'd love it," Sam leaned down and whispered in my ear, and for some weird reason, it sent shivers down my body.

Okay, how the hell did he just guess what I was feeling!?

Really, Cady, this was Sam, he probably had some sort of secret mind-reading power.

"We come to this place a lot," Chrissy's voice rang through the quiet place.

Jax snorted, "The employees know us by names by now."

As if on cue, a young woman holding a notepad came towards them, wearing a uniform, or so I guessed. It consisted of a sleevless white blouse with frills at the edges, a green pleated skirt that came down to her knees, and black flats. What really stood out was the glitter.... and the fairy wings. Her shoes were glittery, her skirt had a glittered trim, and the semi-transculent fairy wings strapped to her back had a lot of glitter.

"Sam, Chrissy, Jax!" She chirped, as if she knew them by heart, "Wonderful to see you again."

"Faye, you act as if we don't come every two days." Sam remarked, leaning back into the chair.

She rolled her eyes at him, surprising me at how they acted so casual around each other, "Sam, ever the smug ass."

"Faye!" Bella cried, reaching out her arms towards the auburn haired woman.

"Bella, Severus, how are my two little fairies?" She asked, gently flicking the young girl's nose.

"I'm a fairy too," Chrissy huffed, crossing her arms. Sam coughed pointedly.

"I'm sorry, what? I'd consider you a fairy fit to join LEPRecon, not a gentle fairy who'd live in Pixie Hollow, like Bella and Severus."

She reached over and drove her fist into his stomach, and he doubled over with an 'oof!'

I couldn't help myself and giggled. I gave Chrissy a thumbs up, and she smirked in answer.

And I had thought him undefeatable. Thought that no one could ever oppose him, but then, boom! Life showed me that I was wrong, once again, by making me meet Chrissy, Jax, Severus, and Bella.

"Women," He muttered under his breath, and I had an urge to elbow him in the ribs, but I decided to spare the poor guy.

"I see you've brought a new friend," She said, bending down to my eye level, "Who might you be, lovely lady?"

I felt my face heat up as she called me lovely.

"I'm Cady," I whispered.

S A M

Yeah, she sure as hell is.

"She's Sam's fiancée, " Jax offered.

"I was wondering when that one girl would come for him," Faye smirked at me and Cherry.

"It's not like that..." Cherry mumbled, toying with a strand of her hair.

"What do you mean?"

"It was done against our wills," She explained in a gentler way. So she wasn't informed of it either?

My hand subconsciously reached for hers and intertwined our fingers together, giving it a gentle squeeze. She squeezed it back, staring down at her feet.

Realisation was evident in Faye's emerald eyes as she uttered, "Oh."

"So what do you want today? The usual?" She asked, changing topic.

"Yeah," Chrissy said, then turned to look at Cherry, "Cady, what would you like?"

I leaned over to whisper, "Their Oreo milkshake is awesome. Plus their waffles, absolutely scrumptious."

"Of course, but..."

"Don't even dare get started on the money. I mean, I'm your husband now, I'll do it."

She looked up at me, surprise written over her face. I flashed her a quick and small smile, but she seemed to have noticed it, as her lips parted slightly.

"Just look at you..." a voice sang.

We both looked up. Faye clicked her tongue, throwing her auburn hair over a shoulder.

"So...." She started, "when's the wedding?"

Cherry turned her face to me, expecting me to know. But I shook my head. Mom and Dad just told me that we're bethroted. Just that and nothing else.

"We don't know," She said bluntly.

A bell that I recognised as the one signaling a new customer, tinkled.

"I better go see that," Faye said and went out. I stood up and walked over to the glass door, pushing myself up against the wall so I couldn't be seen but could still see outside.

There was a young woman standing with her hands on her hips. She had long brown hair that fell down in loose ringlets to her waist, and her blue eyes reflected cleverness and sadistic nature. She was beautiful, no doubt about it. Her tight red tanktop showed off her curves, and her leather pants did the same for her legs.

"How can I help you?" Faye stood in front of her, her back towards the door.

"I'm looking for Sam Carter, Christine Hudson, and Jackson Black," She started and I hissed under my breath, understanding why she looked so familiar.

Madelyn.

"What is your business with them?" Faye crossed her arms, maintaining eye contact.

"That's none of your concern." Madelyn answered, "Have you seen them?"

"I asked once but I'll ask again: what is your business with them?" I was amazed by how she stood her ground, unflinching before the brunette's sharp gaze.

"Why do you look like I've seen you before?" Madelyn mused, then her eyes clicked in recognition.

"Of course," She smirked, "How is Tyler? And what about Ryder?"

WHAT!?

I looked over to Chrissy and Jax. They had heard it and shared the same shock. Ryder? TYLER!?

I turned my eyes back to the door. Faye's expression said nothing about how she felt about that question.

"Faye, should I take over for you?" A meek voice came from the young raven girl sitting at the counter.

Madelyn turned her eyes to that girl. Chantelle, her name, I think.

Faye snapped her fingers in front of the blue eyed bit- slimeball's face, and her attention snapped back towards her.

"Hey, your problem is with me, not her."

"Ah yes. Now, have you seen Sam Carter and friends around anywhere?"

"First you tell me, what's your business with them?"

Madelyn sighed.

"You're not gonna give me any answers, better to go back or somewhere else," She muttered to herself before turning back and going out, the bell ringing when she opened the door.

Faye rolled her eyes and started towards the glass door. I immediately rushed back to the table and sat down in my seat, looking as relaxed and not suspicious as I could.

As soon as she came inside, she put on a smile.

I decided not to question her right now, knowing I could get better answers later or sometime else.

"So, what will you like, Cady?" She smiled at Cherry.

"Er..."

"She'll have two waffles, and an Oreo milkshake."

Then I looked at her for confirmation, "Is that all right?"

She nodded, biting back a smile.

"Okay, then, that'll be ready in approximately ten minutes."

Hey guys!

Ooh whee, this is going to be turning in the storyline. Oh my, this is going to be oh so much fun, along with what I've planned for TOGWRH. Mwahahaha!

So, how do you like Faye? Her name is pronounced like Fae, or the Fai in fairy.

Ooh, and any theories you formed while reading?

I'm so excited!

Bye!
