The team got zero sleep that night. They were all thinking about Ryder. Chase feared that he might get killed.

Too many thoughts were in his head already from this whole mess and he started getting a panic attack. He hasn't had a panic attack since August when he was about to save those people from the disaster that Mayor Humdinger did, but he looked down at the road and realized that he couldn't do the mission.

So Marshall had to take over. And Skye had to bring him down. That was the first time he'd failed and he's not going to do it again! Chase hopped out of his cubby and went downstairs. It was quiet in the headquarters. Chase thought it was too quiet. The only thing going off now was the air conditioning. Chase went up to the Alexa that was sitting on a table.

"Okay. Here is Arcade by Duncan Laurence, on Amazon music." Alexa responded. Then in seconds, the song played.

It was a beautiful day in Adventure city. Ryder was listening to his playlist on his Apple Music.

Ryder was driving his ATV. Not a care in the world. He could be a kid then. Listing to Blink-182's kaleidoscope. He turned up the music on his phone. That was connected to his helmet Wich he added Bluetooth.

He stopped as a car was making its way through an intersection. Then he kept driving.

Ryder saw a purple car and he thought that was a little sus. The former mayor was arrested and locked up in Adventure City prison. He couldn't get out! But he checked the car. Pausing his music, he took off his helmet and dismounted from his ATV, and went to check it out. Thankfully the mayor wasn't in his car. Along with his kittens or his dumb goons. Butch or Buttch and Ruben or something like that.

His Nike boots hit the streets as he walked to the purple car. Then he heard someone come.
"Hey!" He knows that annoying voice anywhere....

"What are you doing out of prison Mayor Humdinger?!" Ryder asked. "Well, you see Ryder. I've been such a good boy that they released me early."
The blonde man said.

Ryder glared at him, not forgetting what happened in August!

Ryder wasn't convinced. So he took out his iPhone and went to his contacts. He saw Chase's contact and clicked on it. It said that it was connected to the T.V via iCloud. So he clicked on it.

"PAW Patrol. Mayor Humdinger es-HEY!" Ryder said as he was pushed to his car. Right then, the call dropped from FaceTime. He tried calling again, and again, and again. Nothing.

A man posted it to his TikTok and that's how it started.....

"Hey, where's Ryder?" Liberty asked the other pups. Skye was the first to speak. "Since his shopping trip a few minutes ago. We hadn't heard anything from him."

Chase looked at the iMac that Ryder got after the rescues and the arrest of the mayor. So it's still new.

They have one back in Adventure Bay but he sold it to Mr. Porter. Chase checked for any text messages that Ryder sent—Ryder did something to the iMac so he could send messages to his computer also for the pups can get ahold of him. Chase sighed as he saw nothing from today.... He saw the last message that was sent a few days ago by him, but that was old.

Ryder was taken back to a large warhorse still knocked out. He was placed in the trunk of the car. It took them two hours to drive to the location. Once they got there. Ruben took the unconscious boy and threw him over his shoulder again. Then shut the trunk.

They walk inside, Mayor Humdinger still held him. They went to the back of the room to a smaller room that may look like an office. But it was empty.

The mayor set down Ryder and grabbed a chain and brought it out. He then stripped him until he has nothing left but his boxers. He then tied his arms to the ceiling and closed the door and left him there unconscious for days.

A few hours have passed. Ryder opens his brown eyes and groans in pain from the headache he has from being hit in the head.... Hard.

The boy looks around as he saw that he was inside a small room—supposedly an office of some kind, with a small window. To look outside. It was daylight.

"HELP ME SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!" He screamed. But it was no use. Just then. The mayor walked in. Wearing his purple suit and pants. And he had a knife in his hand.

Ryder's eyes widened as he saw the weapon in his hand. "Don't scream!" The former mayor snarled. Ryder spits in his face. "Get a hobby instead of whatever..... THIS IS!" Ryder screamed at the man.

Then the mayor walked behind him then slashed him in the back. Leaving a large gash on his skin. Now bleeding. "AH!" He screamed out as the mayor walked back, Ryder was horrified as he saw his blood on the blade of the knife.

"Now... if you don't stop screaming I'll have to slit your throat!" Ryder breathed shakily. "Y-you moron.... You're worse than Team Rocket!" He said.

The mayor clenched his fist and punched him in the nose. Hard, Ryder opened his eyes after that blow to the face. He glared at him.

"I don't like your attitude, is this how a ten-year-old is supposed to act like? I think not. Tisk tisk task. What a shame. Have your parents ever taught you manners?"

The mayor asked. As he brought the knife again and slashed him in the stomach. Ryder felt the pain and the blood running down his stomach and into the grey flooring inside the room. Ryder grits his teeth in pain. Never in his life has he felt this much pain before.

Chase watched the news for the third time that week. And it still talked about the same thing. Ryder being kidnapped or dead. The news anchors inside the studio. Jasmine and Todd were talking about the topic. "We still haven't heard from the PAW Patrol yet on Ryder's disappearance since Friday afternoon," Jasmine said.

"A viral TikTok was going around with 1.2K likes and over three hundred views," Todd said. Jasmine continues.

"Yes. This TikToker by the name of Rocky Smith who lives in Adventure City. Posted the incident. Ryder got kidnapped by our former mayor. "

"Here's the clip now." She said.
Rocky was holding the camera as he stood there helpless. All he could do was watch. He was frozen in time as he saw him.
They heard the background music playing. It was At The End by Mellen Gi.

Chase snapped out of his thoughts. The German Shepard looked and saw his friend Skye. "Hey come on. Where going to look for Ryder again!" Skye said. Already in her gear. "Oh... okay." Chase sighed then went to change into his gear.

They went to the second floor of the HQ where their Vehicles were stored. The pups went downstairs to where they were stored. Then Chase saw Ryder's ATV. Parked next to his car. He went in. Then he drove to the lift to lift him so he can go down the ramp and onto the streets.
