AN: Hey everyone! New story. My first Fire Emblem story so I hope I did a good job starting it!

It was finally over. Grima had been defeated. But not without sacrifices being made. Even though it was one sacrifice, it crushed the Shepards. Robin, the amazing tactician had sacrificed himself in order to put an end to Grima. Tears were shed as many regretted their actions towards the tactician, but Naga had told them that if their bonds were strong enough then Robin was sure to return one day. That was enough to give the Shepards hope that Robin was still out there somewhere. They believed that their bonds were strong so they searched for him. The search went on and on and before anyone knew it, three years had passed, and Robin not a single trace of Robin had been found.

Chrom sighed as he looked thoughtfully out the window. Today was the day. The anniversary that Robin, his trusted tactician, his best friend, sacrificed himself to save the world from Grima. He still believed that Robin was still out there somewhere. He wouldn't give up on his best friend no matter what. The rest of the Shepards shared the same sentiment as they would continue to search for Robin with no luck whatsoever until one day, something happened. 

Chrom was out doing his daily patrol when he noticed a strange figure in a cloak out in the woods. Chrom couldn't get a good look at the figures face as it was hidden by the hood of the cloak. Stopping himself, Chrom had to double check if what he as seeing was true. His first thought, Robin?  Getting closer he realized something. Chrom tried calling out to the figure but the figure didn't answer, it just stared right at the exalt. Realizing that it wasn't his friend, Chrom unsheathed Falchion and pointed it at the cloaked figure.

Chrom: You will answer me now, who are you?

The cloaked figure still didn't respond as it stood still. Chrom's shouting seemed to have caught the attention of his wife Sumia. Sumia quickly came to Chrom's aid. She saw her husband in what seemed to be a standoff of some sorts as he was pointing his sword at the mysterious figure.

Sumia: Chrom, who is that?

Chrom: I don't know, but it' been standing there for a while and hasn't said a word.

Suddenly the cloaked figure pulled something out of its cloak. It looked like a tome of some sorts, but this tome seemed different. It was surrounded it dark energy and it screamed pure evil.

Seeing the tome, Chrom took a stance.

Chrom: Sumia, get behind me...

Sumia: Chrom?

Chrom: I said get behind me!

Startled by her husband, she quickly complied and got behind. 

Suddenly, a portal appeared right underneath them. When they finally noticed it, it was too late as they were slowly getting sucked in. Their screams were enough to get the attention of Frederick who was nearby along with Lissa. Frederick quickly went to where he heard their screams.

Frederick: Milord! 

Chrom: Frederick! Thank Naga. Help us quick!

Frederick wasted no time as he tried pulling Chrom and Sumia up, but to no avail. The portal kept sucking them up. Lissa tried her best to get help but it simply wasn't enough as Chrom and Sumia were completely sucked in and the portal disappeared. Lissa had tears running down her face as she realized that her big brother, her only remaining sibling, was gone. Frederick turned his attention to the cloaked figure who still remained with an angry expression.

Frederick: You! What have you done!

The knight tried to go and charge the figure, but it disappeared in a flash of smoke. 

Frederick: Damn it all!

Lissa: B-Big brother....

Frederick: Milady...

Frederick did his best to comfort the princess. The commotion got the attention of the rest of the Shepards as they were greeted by a sobbing Lissa and Frederick who was angry he couldn't help Chrom. Maribelle quickly came over to Lissa.a

Maribelle: Lissa darling, what happened here?

Lissa couldn't form any words as she continued sobbing. Maribelle held Lissa as everyone looked to Frederick hoping for an answer.

Cordelia: Frederick, what happened here. Where is Chrom and Sumia?

Regaining his composure, Frederick answered to the best of his ability.

Frederick: I was doing my patrol when I heard Chrom and Sumia screaming. I quickly rushed to see what was going on. When I got there they were being sucked into a portal of some sort.

Cordelia: A portal?

Frederick: Yes, I noticed there was a strange cloaked figure watching. It's same to assume that it was responsible for creating the portal. 

Cordelia: Were you able to catch it?

Frederick: No...My priority at the time was helping Chrom and Sumia getting out of that portal. But...I-I failed. I have no idea where the portal took them.

It took a moment for Frederick's words to process. The reactions soon came.

Cordelia: Gods no...Chrom and Sumia are just gone? She asked to no one in particular. She couldn't believe it, her former crush and her best friend were...gone.

Everyone else had the same reaction, shock and disbelief. There was no way Chrom and Sumia were gone. There was just no way! One person who was noticibly missing from the group was Lucina, the older one, Chrom and Sumia's daughter. She was traveling around looking for any sign of Robin. Who was gonna tell Lucina that now her mother and Father were gone?

As the group continued to lament, there was a single question that had yet to be answered, where did Chrom and Sumia end up?
