Sarla and Jhanki joined the Luthras; their relationship had improved over the past years and now that Preeta was back the elders hoped that their children worked through their issues and settled down. They knew Karan's stance when it came to his feelings for Preeta but they didn't know what was going on in Preeta's life or what she thought of Karan. Preeta had excused herself because she had a phone call from her lawyer and needed to take it from the office. Before she left, she had also called her son's nanny to come meet them where Sarla was. Rishabh, Kritika, Sammy and Shrishti had gone outside to explore the place more and it was just magical. "This place is so beautiful, and I feel like I wanna stay here forever", Kritika said admiring the place. "I agree with you, it's a magical place", Shrishsti answered. "Well there is an offer for a free night so you can stay if you want", Rishabh told the girls and they were so excited. They told Sammy to go home and bring for them their clothes they would change into. And of course him being the true gentleman he is, he agreed. But Rishahb declined to stay. He informed them that he has a meeting early in the morning. Kritika looked at the place and just couldn't still believe that Preeta owns this place and that she's a billionaire; who would've thought that Preeta's life would be like this in three years, that she would be considered amongst the richest people in India. Life is so iconic and if it has taught her something is to never do wrong or judge others because God has his own ways.

"Uhm, guys; you think Preeta and Karan have a chance of getting back together?", Kritika asked out of the blue. And everyone looked at her surprised. "What! am just asking, besides am curious now that Preeta is back. And just so you know, I pray and hope that they get back together. "That's what we all want and especially Karan but does Preeta want the same thing?, for all we know; she could've moved on. It's been three years, what if there is someone already in her life?", Rishabh asked. And everyone looked at him with disappointingly but then Shrishti told them that she is a hundred percent sure that Preeta is single. "How do you know?", Sammy asked. "Because am her sister and she always tells me everything however I don't know where she stands with her feelings for Karan because the last time I asked, she said she doesn't know", Shrishti answered.
Preeta was seated waiting for Dianne and she couldn't believe her eyes, Miles was standing in front of her. She got up and gave him a tight a hug at the same time Karan was coming in the same direction. He had seen her seated and wanted to talk to her however what he saw, wasn't something he was expecting or even liked for that matter. This guy was hugging his Preeta; he got stuck and folded his hand feeling jealousy. He started imagining different things; he was worried thinking that Preeta moved on with this guy, he was handsome though but something felt different about him. "You look beautiful love like always", he heard him say and he got more pissed. How dare he call his babydoll love? . He decided to sit a bit far from them but wasn't leaving till he talked to her.

Miles and Preeta talked, laughed for a good one hour and Karan was watching all this. He saw how Preeta smiled at everything he said and even though, he couldn't hear what they were saying. He thought otherwise but he told himself even though Preeta was happy with someone else he has to get back what's his. Hes gonna fight for her. He's gonna do everything to make his family whole again. But jealousy was killing him just seeing her talk and flirt with another man. He thanked the Gods watching because Sophia and Dianne arrived at that time. Miles was happy when he saw the girls. He got up and ran to them hugging them tightly just like he did with Preeta. Karan thought how weird that was, first his mannerism which is so girly and even how he talks. Karan just found him annoying and wondered how Preeta could date someone like this. However he decided to just look on, sit and wait for when Preeta is alone so he talks to her. He even moved closer and tried to hide so he isn't seen, he wanted to ease drop on their conversation and try to find out what this guy was all about. But Preeta had already seen him only that she didn't show it. She only wondered what this fool was trying to do. He heard Miles call Preeta love and he cringed his teeth; "how dare he call my wife love?", he felt like approaching them and giving Miles the test of his own medicine and now he decided that he hates him for calling his wife love and even his manners annoyed him to the core. After Miles had left; he felt relieved and now decided to approach them and talk to Preeta but that was the time Preeta and her friends got up and left.

He decided to follow them, he didn't mind what they would think of him. He wanted to talk to Preeta and at the same time his jealousy was getting the better of him. He saw that they entred into a certain suit at the 6th floor. The door wasn't locked well so he invited himself in and as soon as he entered Preeta turned to look at him and said "your stalking me now, what do you want Karan?", He first starred at her poor guy couldn't take his eyes off her, Preeta was looking beautiful and hot too, and those lips damn, he wanted to kiss her. Dianne and Sophia were seated down but a bit far from where Preeta was standing. Preeta had been aware of Karan since she was talking to Miles and even when she came into the suit, she knew he was following. It's why she didn't lock the door in the first place. But here they were again starring at each other. They had a long eye lock, Sophia and Dianne only looked on and started whispering so they are not heard. "Why are they staring at each other like that", Dianne asked and Sophia said because they are fools in love but just can't admit, I mean am sure Karan would admit his feelings but our dear friend won't admit that she's still in love with Karan. To tell you the truth am enjoying it and somethings never change, they are looking at each other just like I remember and they look good together too. Then, they heard Preeta again ask what he's doing here. "I want to talk to you but in private, he said looking at where Dianne and Sophia were seated, hinting that he wanted them to leave. Preeta too looked at them. They however didn't move and felt happy when Preeta told Karan, that my friends are not going anywhere; whatever you want to say, say it in front of them. Karan was so irritated and accused Preeta of being stubborn but Preeta didn't care because he's the one who came in an announced.

"Alright, if that's what you want then fine", he said feeling angry. He had a lot to say to her but first there are things that were bugging him and he wanted to know. So he asked "did you take our shares to take revenge on my family for what I did to you? and secondly, who is that man you were talking to earlier?, are you sleeping with him? Dianne who was taking her coffee, spilled it on herself because she couldn't believe what he just said. Sophia looked shocked too, and looked at Preeta to see her reaction. Preeta stared at Karan and instead smirked and then started laughing. She asked herself what she should answer him but instead starred a him and continued laughing. "What's so funny, I asked a question and I need an answer", Karan told her in a serious torn. "What do you think?", Preeta asked him with the same torn he just used on her. "Your different Preeta, you've changed so much, your not the same girl I used to know but you can't hurt my family because they've done nothing", Karan told her "Of course am different and unfortunately it's the only true thing you know about me, I have always been different and just so you know revenge isn't my thing and honey don't think the the world resolves around you; I got better stuff to do but, you on the other hand, your still the same judgemental, classicist and egotistical person you've always been. You think when you took your useless revenge on me, i would do the same as you?. No dear whatever am doing it's for Mr. Mahesh, he trusted me when everyone was against me. And about Miles, it's my life, my business and whether I sleep with him or not it's of no concern to you. You are nothing to me Karan Luthra. Remember you choose you life and this is my life I chose", Preeta told him.

Karan was feeling very angry and he didn't want to give up but to provoke her so he said, " I don't want him near my son". " Your son?, what shows that he's yours?", Preeta questioned now feeling angry. She was feeling like she wanted to strangle him, how dare him. "Look Preeta, stop being naive, you and everybody here knows that he is my son", Karan said this time shouting at her. "Then stop provoking me", Preeta answered. Dianne and Sophia had left whatever they were doing and were now looking at them. They couldn't believe that they were behaving like this. Thank God they were inside the room and it had sound proof, otherwise they are sure people passing by the corridor would've heard them. "Remember this Karan, you have no right to demand anything from me", Preeta said and Karan answered saying he does because they are still married. "No honey, you never valued that marriage in the first place, secondly after you had married me you left me in the middle of no where and thirdly, it broke the moment you decided to get married to that girl whose name I don't even remember, so you can't say we are still married. I know your going to say that you didn't marry her but let me ask you; had you not found out the truth, wouldn't you have married her?, tell me the truth. And he couldn't say anything because he knew Preeta was one hundred percent right; he could've went ahead with the wedding.

"Do you know why I never came to tell you about my pregnancy? , it's because I knew you would've sided with Sheilyn and that slut of yours; they could've manipulated you and of course you could've believed them. It hurt me so much when you stopped trusting me, you humiliated me so much that there was a time I felt like taking my own life to ease the pain but that's when I found out that I was pregnant and i knew i had a new reason to live but for that to happen I had to leave everything behind. Karan I've sacrificed so much to reach where I am today am I won't let you spoil it. And had I stayed you have no idea the humiliation my mother and family would've gone through especially after being rejected by you. However I don't regret anything because am still here standing and you know what i know that whatever doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger; so don't ever talk to me like that. And lastly, let me warn you; don't ever think of taking my son away from me because I swear to God, I will sell my soul to the devil just so it doesn't happen", Preeta threatened. After that she bid Sophia and Dianne goodbye saying she needs fresh air. She got her car keys and left.
Karan was just standing there like a zombie. In the years he's known Preeta he has never seen her this angry. But he knew it's his fault that she changed so much. He caused her so much pain and now even his stupid jealousy has caused him to say things he didn't want to. He regrets everything when it comes to her and now he has lost her and his son for good because he couldn't shut up. While he was still in his own thoughts, Sophia came near him and said " for someone who wants to get her back, your really doing amazing". "What do you want me to do?, she clearly hates me?", Karan answered sadly. Sophia felted bad for him and to give him confidence again, she told him "she doesn't hate you and Miles is just a good friend, however what are you willing to do and sacrifice in order to get her back. But that is if you really love her.
