Days later,nothing had changed at the Arora's house. Sarla had tried and looked for Preeta at every possible place she could think of, she even asked her friends but no one had either seen her or heard from her. It's like she's had  swallowed by the earth. She thought of going to Luthra's house to ask if they knew something but Shrishti had warned her against doing it. She had sounded off  all possible areas but she never found her daughter and she felt petrified. So she had only one option left, she went to Preeta's place of work and met with the receiptionist. She asked her if she had seen Preeta for the past few days and the receptionist told her that,  Preeta had come here a  few days back but it was to hand in her  resignation letter stating she was resignation because of something personal. "am sorry but that's all we know but in case we hear anything , I will personally inform you. Please leave your phone number" the receptionist told her, and she did just that.

She was becoming more and more timid, wondering where her daughter was, how she  is coping up with life especially now that she's expecting. She blamed herself , had she not been so harsh on her maybe she wouldn't have left. Had she been an understanding mother, Preeta would still be hear. She went inside the temple to pray  and asked God to protect her little girl wherever she was. She wasn't going to stop looking not until she finds her. She also asked God to amend hers and Shrishti's relationship was detoriating, she had already lost a child once, Pragya leaves far from Mumbai,  and Preeta she doesn't know where she went too, so she has to do everything in power to improve her relationship with the daughter she has now at home. Things were not good and won't be for a long time but she vow to protect the family she had left. She also knew the Luthras are responsible for that reason she vow never to forgive Karan Luthra and cursed him to remain unhappy just like Preeta whose life he destroyed.

Sammy was very anxious because he hadn't gotten any information regarding Mahira, he had hired a private investigator but he hasn't heard from him.  He had come up with a plan to first deal with Mahira because she was a problem right now. Even though him and Karan were not on good terms he loved his brother very much and wasn't going to let him do the same mistake his other brother did marrying a psychopath.  Sheilyn was already a problem and he's not allowing another one into his family no way.
He also knew he had to inform Rishabh about what he found out about Preeta and what he learned about Mahira from Shrishti.

Coming down stairs for his breakfast, he didn't like what he was seeing, Mahira being too comfortable in his own house wasn't what he liked, it's like she was already a daughter-in-law and seemed like Karan was happy to play along so he decided not to seat or even greet anyone for that matter and he didn't care what they thought of him but told Rishabh to come with him now because what he had to tell him was  very important, urgent and it can't wait. Rishabh left his breakfast to follow him.

"What the hell is wrong with him"? He's been acting so strange and very distant. I don't understand my son lately " Rahki said sounding so worried. "Well he's never really liked me and he made sure that I know that". Mahira said and everyone looked at her, she went on to say that am sure he would have liked Preeta to be his sister-in-law. Sheilyn agreed with her but Auntie Kareena assured her that , that  middle-class girl will never set foot here, and she knows that if she does we will send her to prison and press charges of tress passing, so don't worry. "Besides your engaged to Karan and you are the only one known as Karan's fiance. People will never know about Preeta and I promise that Sammy will come around, he must be dealing with  other problems.
While this conversation was going on Karan was very quiet but his thoughts were on Preeta, he was wondering how quiet she was,  her phone number was off. He's not heard from her and it was disturbing him. Yes they've had misunderstandings  however  she always came around. He liked fighting and arguing with her, the truth is that he misses her very much and he's so lonely, he's become different person and its because of her. He wants to rub salt in her wounds. He loves her but he also hates her. He excused himself and left. Rakhi and Kritika followed suit, they didn't like the way Sheilyn, Mahira and Kareena were talking about Preeta.
It became very clear to Mahira that only Bani Luthra, Sheilyn and Kareena who were interested and excited about her up coming wedding.  She knew others can also stop her wedding so she's willing to do anything to become Karan's wife.

Rishabh and Sammy reached their destination, since Sammy was driving, Rishabh thought they were going straight to office instead it was at some field around town. He told him whatever I am going to tell you today doesn't need others eyes or ears, it's a very delicate matter. "Okay we've reached, so what's going on that you don't want others to know?" Rishabh asked. Alright,  let me begin by asking you, do you trust Mahira and Sheilyn? Sammy asked, at the same time Rishabh was taken back by his  question but he told him, he doesn't trust them.
"Well, a few days back I spoke to Shrishti and she told me that Mahira went to her house to brag about her upcoming wedding with Karan to make Preeta jealousy apparently but that's not all she confessed to them that she with the help of Sheilyn pushed Dad down the stairs to frame Preeta and that way Karan would  break ties with her since they had once again become closer and marry Mahira  as soon as possible" Sammy told Rishabh who didn't seem surprised,  he suspected something like that but had no evidence. Sammy this is very serious,  dad and very one is in danger but I feel upset that we couldn't do anything for Preeta and we never even gave her a chance to explain herself.

Sammy went on to tell him, how  Sheilyn and Mahira have constantly put Preeta's life in danger, the accident in which she was framed, yet it was their doing and then edited that video to put her in jail, do you know who saved dad's life at the hospital,  I mean the person who donated blood?, "well I remember that the said person didn't want to meet us " Rishabh said, and Sammy told him it was Preeta. Rishabh was very surprised, he felt sick to his stomach, he remembered how Karan accused her and threw her out of the house yet here she saved his dad despite how harsh his family was too her. And there is more, Rishabh was becoming more angry he didn't know that there were  more injustices  done to Preeta. "What is it Sammy"? He asked and Sammy told him how sorry he was but he feels the same way about his family and you have to know the whole truth, Sammy told him about the alimony and divorce papers, Preeta never sent those papers, that was a plan and I think both Sheilyn and Mahira were behind it because as soon as they sent them, Karan and Mahira's engagement was announced but think of that poor girl who has suffered so much because she's from a middle-class family?, think of the humiliations, torture she has endured, yet she has always helped our family without expecting anything even when Karan left her she never gave up on our family. Do you now understand why I feel ashamed of our family? Sammy told him.
"Sammy, what have we done?, what has Karan done?", this is more serious than what I thought." He told Sammy but Sammy made him feel panicky when he told him, he's got a something which is more serious than what he had told him, Preeta left home, last week, no one has seen her or heard from her since then and she's expecting Karan's child.
Rishabh stood up from his chair and shouted "WHAT? ".
