Vineet reaches the police station, marches inside, and sees Deep and his family inside the lockup. Aarav was present there and Shinde was beating Deep.

"Ache se maar Shinde ise.. Zara pata toh chale jab maar padti hai toh kaisa lagta hai!" Aarav said while enjoying the scene.

He then looked at the lady constable and smiled "Durgaji.. Inhone toh bahut atyachar kiya hai apni bahu pe.. Zara batayie inhe bhi"

She had a big crush on him and said "badle mein ek date milegi tere saath?"

"Aap jab bolengi main chalunga zara thoda apne dande ka zor toh dikhaye maa beti ko.." Aarav said with a wink.

She nodded and started to beat them up. Deep glared at him "Chodunga nahi tujhe main kutte.."

"Abe o lawyer ko gaali de raha hai! Inspector ek toh extra hi lagana ise.." Aarav shouted.

Shinde moves out of the lockup and others continue to beat Deep and his father. Shinde glared at him "Dekh aa gaya ladki ka baap FIR wapas lene.. Ab chodna padega sabko!"

Deep smiles at this, he had cleverly manipulated Manvi. Aarav stared at him and was determined not to let him take such a step. He won't let these people get away easily. 

Aarav moved towards Vineet and looked into his eyes. His eyes were filled with tears, pain, and anger for the family.  "Sir please.. Aap aisa mat karna" He requested him as his all efforts would go in vain. 

Vineet pushed him away and kept the bag on the table "isme na meri bachi kuchi jama punji hai! Aap ye sab rakh lijiye lekin ye insaan aur iska parivar jail se bahar nahi aana chahiye! Kisi bhi keemat pe nahi"

A smile appears on Aarav's face. Vineet walked towards Deep and glareed at him "Tujhe kya laga tu meri beti ko darayega.. Dhamkhayega wo mujhse kahegi main wapas lelun FIR aur main kar dunga? Nahi Deep.. ek galti kar chuka hun tujh jaise insaan ko apni beti saupke ab dubara wahi galti nahi karunga main.. Chahe mujhe apne aap ko bechna pade lekin tujhse apni beti ka talaak karwake hi rahunga samjha!"

Aarav shouted "Shinde.. Ab toh apna third degree de hi de.."

Vineet looks at the inspector. Shinde smiled and said "meri beti hai sir.. Aapka dard takleef ache se samajh sakta hun main!" he returned the bag to him.

"Iski zaroorat nahi hai.. Aap befikar rahiye jabtak Aarav nahi chahega inki bail nahi hogi" Shinde assured him.

Vineet walked out of the police station with Aarav. Vineet glanced at him, Aarav said "kuch pal ke liye toh main darr hi gaya tha Sir.."

"Darr? Jaake meri beti ki aankhon mei dekho Aarav! Kya galti thi uski? Jisse humne kaha usne shaadi ki.. Humhe takleef na ho usne wo sab saha.. Maare ye log aur ghar mein band rahe meri beti?? Inn logo ki aankhon mein zara bhi sharam nahi hai Aarav aur meri beti har roj sharminda hoti hai.... Nazrein zukhake chalti hai! Kyun?? Kyun" he breaks down into tears.

Aarav consols him "Sir main samajhta hun aapki takleef.. Himmat rakhiye aur Manvi ko ghar mein band hone ki zaroorat nahi hai"

"Janta hun par iss Deep ne.." he sighed and banged his hand hard on the pillar.

"Sir... sab thik ho jayega" he said trying to calm him down. 

Vineet closes his eyes for a moment. He said "hmm.. First hearing kab hai?" he asked.

"Kal main court mein case file karunga Sir.. phir batata hun aapko kabki date milti hai" Aarav informed.

Vineet nodded and left from there. Aarav held back towards his home. He thought about what happened a minute ago at the police station. 

Ruhana had been pacing up and down the hall waiting for her husband to return. She had been trying to call him but his phone rings within the house. He had moved out in a rush that didn't even took his phone with him. The door bell rings, she opens the door and finds Sharda standing there. 

She asked in concern "Manvi thik hai?"

"ji.." She shook her head positively.

Sharda handed her a box "yeh Chintu ne uske ke liya tha de dena" she said

Ruhana held it and smiled a bit. Sharda apologized for whatever happened at her home.

"pata nahi kaha se wo insaan ghus aaya ghar mein" she replied

"aap kyun maafi maang rahi hai? Party thi mehmano ka aana jaana tha aise hi beech mein ghus aaya.." Ruhana said

Sharda smiles, just then Vineet returns home with the bag.  Sharda leaves from there while he entered the house.  Ruhana closes the door and turned towards him. 

He walked straight towards his daughter room. He sees her sleeping under the medicine effect. He sat down on the floor beside the bed. He caressed her head softly and kept on staring at her fearful face. 

Ruhana entered inside and sat down beside him. She asked "Kya kiya tumne police station jaake?" 

"nahi li hai maine FIR wapas.. ek pal ke liye padh gaya tha kamzor isey iss tarah dekh ke par phir khayal aaya ki yahi toh sab chahte hai yeh samaaj, deep ke gharwale hum kamzor nahi padh sakte hai Ruu yeh ladai humhe jeetni hai hamare liye hamari mannu ke liye" he said with teary eyes.

She grabbed his hand tightly and shook her positively "aisa hi hoga Vineet mujhe laga tum sach mei.."

"nahi Ruu main galti nahi karunga iss baar.. aaj kahi na kahi main zimmedar hun inn sabka toh mujhe apni beti ko iss shaadi ke bojh se bahar nikalna hai! phirse mujhe meri mannu wapas chahiye hasti khelti muskurati.. aise nahi" he denied eyeing at her. 

She was proud to have him as her husband. "tum sabse ache pita ho Vineet" she said

"acha toh pata nahi bas pita hone ki koshish kar raha hun.." he responded. 

They heard the loud whisper from her mouth. It seems she was having a worse nightmare. "tum so jao iske paas.." he said

Ruhana shook her head positively and he moved out of the door closing the door. 

The next day, Aarav fills the case into the court and gets the earliest hearing date which is the end of the month. He goes towards Singhaniya's house and rings the doorbell.

Ruhana opens the door and smiles seeing him "aao Aarav.."

He steps inside and sees Manvi sitting near the window.

"Mam.. next week Tuesday ki date mili hai aapko sirko aur Manvi ko aana hoga" He said giving the papers to her.

Ruhana took them and said "aa jayenge.. Chai loge?"

He nodded yes, Ruhana went to the kitchen. He sees Manvi sitting silent. Yesterday's night incident must have disturbed her mind more.

"Yahan baithe rehne se bahar ki khubsurati ka andaza nahi lagaya jaa sakta hai.." Aarav said trying to cheer her up.

She looked at him, and Aarav smiled at her.

He walked to her and asked, "may I?"

She moves her legs and sits beside her. "Waise toh main lawyer hun lekin tum chaho toh tumhara dost bhi ban sakta hun" he said.

She looked at him blankly. "Ab itni bhi buri nahi hai meri shakal ki tum mujhe apna dost nahi bana sakti" he spoke making a face.

She smiles lightly hearing his words. "Aha.. maltab hum dost ban sakte hai?" he asked raising his eyebrow.

He forwards his hand and introduces himself "main hun Advocate Aarav Malhotra.. Akela rehta hun gaana bhi thik thak gaa leta hun... aur aap??"

She glanced at his hands, she wanted to befriend him but feared breaking her trust again.

"Ajnabee bane rehne mein bhalayi hai waise.. Khulke mujhse baat toh kar paaogi.." He said leaving her completely blank.

She recalls how yesterday he saved her. She finally shakes hands with him and he is pleased with this.

Ruhana comes out of the kitchen and smiles seeing the way Aarav was trying to cheer up Manvi. She gives him the tea and he sips it "ohho.. Kitni achi chai hai ab toh mujhe roj bahane dhundhne padenge aapke haath ki chai peene ke liye"

"Jab mann kare aa jana! Bahane ki zaroorat nahi padegi" Ruhana replies.

Aarav smiles at her, he finishes the tea and goes to the kitchen to keep the cup himself. He came out after a while, he said "Acha main chalta hun mam.. Aapse court mein milunga ab"

Ruhana nodded and Aarav waved bye to Manvi. She just looked at him and he left the house.

A few days later, Vineet returns from the office. Manvi was watching a film sitting on the couch but she was lost in her own thoughts. Vineet forwards something to her but she doesn't catch his attention.

"Mannu.." he called her.

She finally came out trance of her thoughts and looked at him "ji papa.."

He signed her to look at his hands, she looked down and held the box in her hand.

"Kholo.." he said.

She opened it and it was her favorite sweet from her favourite place. He sits down beside her and picks up the laddoo from the box.

She looks down and tears escape her eyes instantly. He is aware of the reason for her action. "Papa naraz nahi hai.." he said softly.

She places her head on his chest and begins to cry immensely. He caressed her head and within a second his eyes turned moist. All the while she thought he must be angry at her for lying to him whenever he asked about her well-being. Since childhood, she might have hidden something from her mother but she had always shared even a little secret with him.

"I am sorry bache.. Papa se bahut badi galti hui" he apologized to her.

She looked up at him and wiped tears from his eyes "nahi papa aapne kuch galat nahi kiya.. Aap please sorry mat bolo"

"Toh galti toh tumhari bhi nahi hai na toh khudko saza kyun de rahi ho?" he asked.

She sat up straight and said "bas mann nahi karta kahi jaane ka papa.."

"Beta mann toh banana padta hai na! Wapas job karna shuru kardo itna padhaya likhaya hai tujhe ghar mein bithane ke liye thodi" he said slapping her head lightly.

She smiles lightly at him. "Acha ye laddo kha.." he forwards it to her again and she eats it.

Ruhana steps out of the kitchen and sits on the couch opposite them "kya baap beti akele akele laddo kha rahe ho.. Mujhe bhi do"

Vineet denies "nahi ye mannu ke laaya hun main.. Tumhe nahi milega" he said trying to cheer up Manvi's mood.

"Are ye kya baat hui? Main toh khaungi" she picks up one from the box.

"Ruu.. nahi" he takes back from her.

They snatched the box from each other and it dropped on the floor. Manvi sighed deeply "Aap dono bhi na.." she picked up the box and placed it back on the table.

RuVi sighed in disappointment.

Here, Aarav was checking the case papers and working on his laptop. He picked up his phone and called Vineet.

"Haan Aarav.." he said.

"Sir bas aapko remind karwana tha.. Padso court ki date hai" Aarav spoke.

"Ache se yaad hai Aarav! Hum waqt pe aa jayenge.." he said.

"Sir.. kya main court ki hearing se pehle Manvi se kuch baat kar sakta hun? Bahut zyada zaroori hai" he asked permission.

"Haa Aarav tum lawyer ho jab chahe aake baat kar sakte ho!" Vineet assured him.

Aarav thanked him and ended the call.
