Deep was heading towards his office, Ankush asked "beta aaj bike kyun nahi leke jaa rahe ho?"

"Papa wo bike toh kharab ho gayi hai chodunga nahi uss manager ko jisne mujhe itni ghatiya bike bechi saal bhar pehle.. late ho raha hun metro se jaana padega aaj bye" he rushes out of the house.

Manvi receives a call from her father, she instantly picks it up. A smile appears on her face and she asked "Aa gaye aap wapas vaishno devi se?"

"Haan beta.. Kaisi ho tum?" he asked.

"Main thik hun papa" she replies

However, he senses the charm missing in her voice. He questions "mannu pakka thik ho? Waha sasural mein kuch hua?"

Manvi was surprised hearing him. She denies "nahi papa.. Kuch nahi hua acha ye batayie kaisa raha aapka safar?"

"Bahut hi acha tha.. Tumhe bahut yaad kiya humne" he said.

"Bas yaad kiya ya mere liye kuch laaye bhi?" she asked curiosly.

"Laaye hai jab aaogi toh denge" He replies.

Father and daughter talk for a while. 

Manvi was about to end the call but he asked "mannu.. tu khush hai? koi pareshani waali baat toh nahi hai na?" 

Manvi remained silent for a while, she had never lied to him but she can't hurt him by telling him the truth. "papa khush kaise nahi hongi? aap jante ho na kitna kaam rehta hai office ka aur phir ghar manage karna toh bas.." she said

"wo toh hai.. par mujhe pata hai meri beti dono ache se sambhal legi" he said 

Manvi smiles "ji papa main sambhal lungi" she assured him she will handle everything. 

Yamini had heard her conversation, she fumes in anger "isne kaha tha iske maa baap ke paas paise nahi hai.. Lekin dono ko ghum phirke aa rahe hai.. Aaj toh kaise bhi meri beti ki scooty aur Deep ki bike ke paise nikalwaungi isse" she thought.

Manvi ends the calls, her phone beeps and she checks the email. She was left shocked to see the termination letter from her office. She gets extremely upset, and she immediately calls her boss but he doesn't even answer it.

She called him again, the manager picked up the phone "hello Sir.."

"Manvi I am sorry tumhe pata tha na kitna important tha, tumhare na hone ki wajah se humne ek client kho diya! I tried my best par wo bahut hi zyada upset ho gaye" he replied

"no sir.. please meri practice adhuri rah jayegi ye bahut zaroori hai mere liye" she said with tears in her eyes

"I am sorry I can't help you" he said and ends the call.

She gets annoyed, she threw the phone away in anger. Her 6 years of hard work got ruined, and it won't be easy to get a new job. She took a deep breath and calmed herself down.

She comes out of the room and goes to the kitchen to prepare lunch for everyone. Yamini enters and said "bahu.. Deep bechara metro se jaa raha hai.. Kitna waqt barbaad hota hai uska"

"Ji wo toh hai.. Bike repair karwa denge sunday ko" she replies with a smile.

"Are beta wo bike na thik hogi hi nahi.. Tum ek kaam karo apne papa ko phone karke kaho Deep ke liye seedha ek car khareed de" Yamini spoke.

Manvi was shocked hearing her, asked "main papa se kyun kahun?"

"Beta.. tumse pehle jo rishta tha na waha se humhe bahut badi car mil rahi thi lekin mere bete ko tum pasand aa gayi toh ye rishta karna pada.. Aaj hi apne papa se tum paise mangogi Deep ki manpasand car ke liye aur Arohi ke liye bhi" Yamini said in cold tone.

Manvi refuses "Maaji.. Mere papa jitna de sakte they usse zyada hi diya hai.. Main unse ab kuch nahi mangungi"

She was about to leave but Yamini held her wrist tightly. It began to hurt her, she eyed her shockingly and said "aap kya kar rahi hai chodiye mera haath.."

'Dekho bahurani.. Ye ghar mera hai aur yahan wahi hota hai jo main chahti hun agar iss ghar mein rehna hai na tumhe toh apne baap se paise leke aao" Yamini threatened her.

Manvi jerks her hand away and runs into the room. She picks up her phone and calls Deep but it wasn't reachable.

He messages her "Manvi office mein bahut kaam hai shyam ko ghar aake baat karta hun"

She checks her bank account and it had about 2 lakhs. Her parents didn't let her spend her earnings as they wanted her to spend this only in emergencies. She thought "yahi de deti hun..."

She comes out of the room and hands a cheque to Yamini "ye lijiye.. 2 lakh ka cheque hai isme aa jayegi Arohi ki scooty aur baaki dahej ke paise toh hai hi aapke paas.."

Yamini's eyes lightened up with it. She instantly takes the cheque and hands it to Arohi. She smiles and said "Arohi.. Jaa apne liye nau lakha haar lele tujhe chahiye tha na"

Manvi was shocked hearing this, she said "lekin scooty.."

Yamini cupped her face and said "beta.. Ye intezam kar sakti ho toh 5-6 lakh aur sahi"

Yamini and Arohi go to their room leaving Manvi stunned at her place. Their demand had been keep on increasing every moment.

Later, in the evening Deep arrives home. He goes to the room to freshen up and Manvi said "mujhe aapse baat karni hai"

"Haan kaho" he asked.

"Aapne kaha tha aap log dahej nahi lenge lekin yahan toh shaadi ke baad bhi itna kuch manga jaa raha hai" Manvi said straightly. She had been extremely annoyed with her in-laws as first because of the drama, she lost her job and now unnecessary demand.

"What??" he asked shockingly.

She tells him everything and he gets angry. He moves out and shouts "maa papa.. Arohi"

They came out of their respective room "kya hua beta?" Ankush asked.

"Ye kya sun raha hun main? Aapne shaadi waale din maang ki thi dahej ki mere mana karne ke baad bhi?"

"Dekh beta.. Humhara haq tha wo humne manga aur tu iss beech nahi ayega samjha! Ye ladki bas sikhayat karti hai kisi kaam ki nahi hai" Yamini confronts her.

"wo galat nahi kah rahi hai maa.. aap logo ne bahut galat kiya hai" Deep disagreed with her.

Manvi smiles least Deep isn't as greedy as them.

"sirf kuch hi din hue hai ise aaye aur tu apni maa se ladh raha hai.." Yamini said

Deep sighed deeply.

Yamini pulls Manvi and drags her out of the house. Deep tries to stop her and said "maa please"

"Iss ghar mein ab tab lautna jab paise laa sako samjhi!" Yamini gave her the ultimatum.

Manvi was shocked by her move, she glances at Deep who was just silently standing there. She said "aap..."

"Jao apne mayke aur wapas paison ke saath hi aana samjhi" Yamini smashes the door on her face leaving her completely broken.

How can she go back to her house and demand money from them? She knocks on the door and pleads "darwaza kholyie please..." However, it all went in vain nobody heard her plead or to be precise they were ignoring her.

Tears slip down her eyes as at 8 pm she was standing outside the door. She hears Deep confronting his parents but Yamini binds him in her oath and stops him from opening the door.

She sighed deeply and walked away from there.

She reached the metro station within 15 minutes and boards the train towards her own house. Her mind had completely stopped working, she was thrown out by her mother-in-law for dowry. She was lost in her own thoughts. Did her parents took a wrong decision for her? Or those people were greedy? Many questions were raised in her mind but no answers to them.

Singhaniya Niwas

Ruhana was preparing dinner while Vineet was helping her out. He finished chopping the salad and said "lo ho gaya.."

"Thik hai tum leke jao main aati hun.. " she said.

He agrees, picks up the salad plate, and moves out of the kitchen. He keeps it on the table but it accidentally slips and scatters on the floor suddenly. Ruhana rushes out hearing the sound, she eyed him and asked "Vineet kya hua?? Ye salad kaise gira?"

He had a strange feeling in his heart, he got reckless and the reason was unknown to him. Ruhana keeps her hand on his shoulder and asked "Vineet.. Thik ho na tum?"

"Hmm.." he replies.

He bends down and picks up the salad. Ruhana asked "kuch hua kya?? Tum achanak aise pareshan kyun ho gaye?"

"Kuch nahi Ruu.." He denies.

She sighed deeply "ye baap beti kuch nahi batate hai mann hi mann pareshan hote rehte hai" she thought.

They sat down at the dining table and began to eat. Ruhana saw his actions, he wasn't eating the food just playing with it.

"Vineet kya hua hai?? Achanak tum aise kyun bartav kar rahe ho?" she asked worriedly.

"Mann nahi kar raha hai Ruu khana khane ka.." he replies.

"Haan phir tabiyat bigad lena apni.. Beti aayegi ghar milne toh kahegi mumma aap toh mere papa ka khayal hi nahi rakhti ho" she spoke imiating like Manvi.

Vineet smiles at her words and ate the food. Aftermath, Ruhana cleaned the table and went to the kitchen to clean the utensils while Vineet locked the main door.

Ruhana eyed him and said "kal subah phone kar lena beti ko.. "

"Haan.. abhi toh kaafi raat ho gayi hai na so gayi hogi" He said and both of them move to their room to sleep.

Here, Manvi reached the last metro station which was 10 stops far from her house. She gets down and looks at the name "ye kaha aa gayi main.. Utarna bhool gayi"

She looks at the clock hanging and it showed 11 pm. She thought "iss samay ghar wapas gayi toh bahut sawal karenge mumma papa.."

She takes out her phone and calls Deep however, his phone was switched off. She calls the landline and Yamini answers the call. She said with hope "hello.. Maa.."

"Dekho Manvi agar ghar wapas aana hai na toh paise saath lana samjhi warna baithi rehna apne mayke" Yamini said firmly and ends the call before she could speak anything else.

Manvi cried "mumma"

Here Ruhana suddenly opened her eyes. She sat up straight getting reckless. She picked up her phone and looked at the time it was 1 am in the morning. She thought "itni bechani kyu ho rhi hai... Mannu thik hai kya"
