Before the guests could arrive, Ruhana made Vineet and Manvi sit on the couch and stood in front of them. 

"Papa... please bachalo.." she said in a whispering tone. 

"beta pichli baar humne dono rishte tay hone se pehle bahut karname kiye they tumhari mumma ne humse do din tak baat nahi ki aaj kuch kiya na toh ek hafte tak humhe khana nahi milega" he replied in same tone as hers. 

"aap mumma se itna darte kyun ho?" she asked glaring at him. 

"tumhari shaadi ho jayegi na pata chal jayega tumhe" he replied

She made a face "kuch toh karo" she said 

He denied, Ruhana glared at them "Tum dono kaan kholke sunlo mujhe aaj koi drama nahi chahiye tum baap beti ka.. yeh rishta haath se nahi jaana chahiye samjhe" she warned both of them. 

"lekin Ruu.." Vineet tried to explain. 

"Vineet stop it.. kuch nahi sunna hai mujhe jaake dono ke dono taiyar ho jao" she said in ordering tone. 

They helplessly got up and moved inside to their respective bedroom. Ruhana smiled lightly. She goes to the kitchen to do some preparations. 

About after half an hour, the doorbell rings and Vineet goes and opens the door. He smiles and folds his hand in "Namaste" greeting the family. He steps aside and they enter the house. 

Ruhana steps out of the kitchen, she looks at them. She says "baithye"

The three figures sit down on the three-sitter couch. The lady who was in her late 40s  introduces herself as "namaste.. Main Yamini Sharma"

she then points to her left.

A man about 28 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, fair complexion, and with a very charming personality "ye hai mera beta Deep Sharma"

(😜 ufff second crush mera.. 🤣Pehla toh pyaar hai)

He stands up and touches the feet of Ruhana and Vineet taking their blessings which was very much impressive for them.

"Aur ye hai meri beti... Arohi Sharma" she says looking at the girl.

"Jee.. Pandit jee ne bataya tha aap logo ke baare mein.. Beta tum kaam kya karte ho?" Vineet questions.

"Software engineer hun main" he replies softly.

"Bahut mehnati hai mere beta.. Iske papa ke retire hone ke baad pure ghar ki zimmedari isne apne sar pe uthayi hai!" Yamini speaks.

"Maa bhi na kuch zyada hi tareef kar rahi hai.. Mera toh farz hai main wahi nibha raha hun" Deep says.

Ruhana smiles hearing his words. She asked "aapke husband nahi aaye?"

"Ji wo zameen ke kaam se ghao gaye hai.. Ek do din mein aa jayenge" Deep informed.

Vineet asks them to have some snacks.

"Main Manvi ko bulake laati hun" Ruhana said and goes towards Manvi's room.

She enters the room and finds her staring at the suits which were placed on the bed. Ruhana keeps her hand on her forehead "hey bhagwaan ye ladki ab tak taiyaar nahi hui hai.. Mannu kya kar rahi hai tu?"

Manvi turns and replies "mumma.. Kaunsa pehnu samajh nahi aa raha hai"

"Offo.. neeche ladkewaale aa gaye hai aur abtak tumne ye decide nahi kiya pehnna kya hai" Ruhana said.

Manvi made a face, Ruhana selects the yellow suit for her and smiles "ye le.. Isko pehenke aa fatafat"

Manvi rushes to the bathroom and changes her clothes. After 5 minutes, she comes out and Ruhana takes her to the dressing table. She combs her hair while Manvi wears bangles and earrings.

"Mannu.. Tere papa jab mujhe dekhne aaye they na main bhi aisi nervous hui thi! Lekin jab unse baat ki toh sab nervousness gayab ho gayi.. Unhone shuruwat ki baat ki.. Phir maine bhi unse sawal kare.. Phir kya tha.. Ek do mulakat hui phir shaadi!" Ruhana said.

Manvi stares at her through the mirror. Ruhana keeps her hand on her shoulder and says "agar nahi pasand toh mana kar dena samjhi lekin genuine hona chahiye.. pichli baar tum baap beti ki planning pata hai mujhe"

Manvi nods her head yes. They finally move out of the room, Manvi looks at them and folds her hands in a "namaste". She sits down on the couch beside Vineet and Deep looks at her. He couldn't let go of his eyes as she was looking beautiful.

Vineet whispers in her ears "ghur raha hai tumhe hi beta.. Same yahi maine kiya hai tumhe maa ko jab dekhne gaya tha" 

Manvi lowers her gaze and smiles hearing her father's words. 

"Papa.. testing karni hai na abhi.." she whispers back. 

 Ruhana sighed deeply, she lightly pinches Vineet's arm. He glances at her and she shoots a deadly glare at him asking him to remain quiet.

Yamini looks at Manvi and says "aapki beti toh bahut sundar hai.. Beta bhaisab bata rahe they tum job karti ho"

"Ji..CA hun" Manvi replies.

"Mannu.. Deep ko apna room dikhao" Ruhana said showing her eyes telling her not to do any mischievous act with him as she had done previously. 

Manvi stands up and goes to the room with Deep. He looks around and smiles seeing the interior and design "bahut acha sajaya hai aapne apna kamra Manvi ji" he said.

"Thank you.." Manvi replies.

Deep looks at her while she lowers her gaze. Deep asked "aap kuch puchna chahti hai?"

Manvi refuses, saying "dekhiye shaadi ke baad main apni job nahi chodungi!"

"Bilkul.. Aap job continue kar sakti hai.. Mujhe aur mere gharwalo ko kya dikkat hogi aapke job karne se.." deep agrees.

Manvi smiles, Deep said "dekhiye jitna ajeeb aapke liye hai mere liye bhi hai! Lekin shuruwat toh karni hi hogi na.. Ek dusre ko samajhne ki janne ki tabhi pyaar bhi ho jayega"

Manvi was quite impressed hearing his words. He had made her comfortable in a few minutes. "Aapki koi girlfriend rahi hai?" she asked.

"Jee nahi.. Mauka mila hi nahi kabhi! Ghar ki zimmedari kuch jaldi hi aa gayi thi.. Behen ko padhana maa ko sambhalna.. Ab chahta hun koi mujhe sambhale toh bas aa gaya aapko dekhne" he said with a smile.

Manvi laughed upon hearing his words. 

"lekin mere na college mein 10-12 boyfriends they.." she said mischievously. 

"toh? isme badi baat kya hai? hum ladke bhi 15-20 gfs rakhte hai uss time pe wo baat alag hai mujhe ek bhi nahi mili" Deep replies. 

Manvi was surprised to hear his words. Manvi thought "ye toh sab planning fail kar raha hai.. hmm papa ne kaha tha agar 2-3 sawal ke jawab bhi thik thak de diye toh sochna" 

Deep snipped his fingers in front of her eyes "hello.. Manvi ji kya sochne lagi aap?" 

"kuch nahi.." she denied

Deep asked "Toh kya main aapki haan samjhun ya aapko aur test lena hai mera?"

She eyed him again amazed "haww aapko kaise pata main aapka test le rahi thi?" 

"aapki baaton se.. aur aapki aankhein padhke jo saaf kah rahi hai aapka bhi meri tarah koi bf nahi tha" Deep said

She smiled and they walk out of the room. Everyone looks at them, Ruhana asked "haan ki na?"

"Jaisa aapko thik lage mumma.." Manvi reponds.

"Beta shaadi tumhe mere bete se karni hai.. Isliye apni pasand batao" Yamini said.

"Jee.. Deepji pasand hai mujhe" Manvi replies.

Ruhana was shocked hearing her words. She actually said yes to the alliance, Vineet picked up the sweet box and took out the laddoo from it. He places it inside her mouth and says "haan hi kaha hai usne.. meri beti samajhdar hai" 

She looked at him "kya bharosa baad mein naa karde" she said

"nahi mumma ye pakka waala haan hai" Manvi whispered in her ears. Ruhana smiled at her. 

Vineet thought about something, he said "Yaminiji.. Wo lena dena"

"Ye baat karke sharmida mat kijiye.. Aap apni beti ko jo denge khushi se dijiye humhe kuch nahi chahiye! Aur waise bhi dahej lena paap hai aur hum uska bhagedar nahi banna chahte hai" Yamini spoke folding her hands in front of them.

"Jee.. bhagwan ki kripa se sab hai hamare paas! Aapki beti ko kisi cheez ki kami nahi hone dunga wada karta hun" Deep promises.

Vineet was satisfied hearing him, that is what a father wants. Arohi moves to Manvi and says "Welcome to family bhabhi.. Aap jaldi se ghar aa jao phir hum milke bhai ko pareshan karenge"

Yamini gives Deep's kundali and they leave the home.

Ruhana looks at Manvi and asked "pakka Deep pasand hai na tujhe? Ya hamara mann rakhne ke liye haan kiya hai"

"Nahi mumma sach mein pasand hai! Aapne jaise bataya tha.. Unhone papa ki tarah hi baat ki.. Meri nervousness gayab ho gayi" Manvi said with a smile.

"Wo toh maine dekha.. Chalo ab jald se jald shaadi ki tayari shuru karte hai" Ruhana said.

Manvi hugs her tightly while Ruhana smears her head.
